Chapter Eighty Entering the City

Three days after the start of the full moon event, many players have died in every corner of Prague, due to carelessness, insufficient strength, and bad luck.

Wild Sharka, a nature reserve in the northwestern suburbs of Prague.

The sky was azure, and the casually scattered white clouds looked like a painter had just casually brushed a few strokes with a white brush.

A squirrel leaps swiftly among the towering trees.

Soon, it reached the edge of the forest, where a yellowish-white rural dirt road stretched out before it, with tall wild grass growing on both sides. At the end of the road stood a rural villa with a red roof and white walls.

The squirrel's round, dark eyes scanned the surroundings, its small nose twitching constantly. After confirming that there were no strangers, it quickly ran towards the cabin.

It parted the dense grass, then sealed it off behind it.

The squirrel arrived at the door.

"Knock knock knock".

It knocked on the door while keeping a watchful eye on its surroundings like a secret agent.

"Who is it?" someone inside asked.

"Pika pika, chu," the squirrel replied, its voice not only predictable but also featuring a pre-arranged rise and fall in tone.

With a creak, the door cracked open, and the squirrel squeezed in like liquid, leaving its head outside. After cautiously scanning its surroundings, it finally closed the door completely.

The interior is in a typical European rural style, with a fireplace, chimney, bar, large sofa, and wooden tables and chairs.

"Any news?" the man sitting at the bar asked, turning around.

He was a very imposing man, with thick arms and a waist as thick as a barrel; when he sat there, he looked like a small mountain.

"Give me a glass of water, Dolly." The squirrel jumped onto the sofa armrest and leaned against it.

It treats the sofa armrest as a sofa.

The person actually sitting on the sofa was someone else, a dark-haired Asian man, holding a book and reading.

Dolly is a woman, a brown-haired European woman, somewhat plump, with a rather full bust.

Besides, there was a blonde woman sitting at the table, wearing a baseball cap, with her slender legs crossed, chewing gum.

“Beatrice, it’s your turn next time,” the squirrel said to the girl in the baseball cap, as if eager to shirk responsibility.

A girl named Beatrice nonchalantly blew a bubble as a reply to the squirrel.

"Here you go, thank you for your hard work." Tao Li handed over a small cup for drinking.

"Thank you." The squirrel took the cup, which was the perfect size, and drank half of it in one gulp.

Wiping the wet fur from its mouth, it said to Dori, "Dori, I like females like you. Come back to the Kamchatka Peninsula with me. I've hidden enough food in my cave to last us three winters."

"I'm asking you a question, you rat!" The bear-like man (referred to as Bear Man) slammed his fist on the bar.

Everything on the bar jumped together in unison, like a jump rope, very neatly.

"And you!" The bear-like man glared at the Asian man on the sofa. "Stop staring at that lousy book of yours all day!"

“I said,” the squirrel took another sip of water, “if you think we’re getting impatient, you can take matters into your own hands, gather intelligence, or cause a ruckus in the city. It’s up to you.”

The bear-like man suddenly stood up and strode towards the sofa.

"Oh!" The girl in the baseball cap excitedly blew another bubble.

"Alright, alright." Tao Li stopped Xiong Nan, gently stroking his granite-like chest, then turned to the squirrel on the sofa armrest and said, "Qiu, tell me, what news do you have?"

"A little, but not much." The squirrel named Qiu finished the remaining water in the small cup in one gulp.

It continued, “There were indeed signs of a fight in the forest, but it’s unclear what it was. The polar bear at the zoo refused my invitation, saying it was too hot outside unless we gave him an air-conditioned backpack.”

"The air conditioner doesn't come with a backpack!" The bear-like man punched the bar counter again, causing the items on the counter to bounce on their leather straps once more.

“That’s what I told it too.” Pine Tree shrugged, twirling the small cup between its fingertips.

The remaining water in the cup splashed out, and the Asian man raised his hand to block a drop of water that was about to fall onto the book.

“It seems we can’t find any new teammates,” Tao Li muttered to herself, then asked them, “What should we do next?”

"Going into town~" the girl in the baseball cap said.

"Go into the city." Each syllable uttered by the bear-like man was like a swing of a hammer.

"And you?" Tao Li looked at the person and the squirrel on the sofa.

"Hmm—" The Chow Chow crossed his arms, looking very conflicted.

After a long silence, it said, “Alright, let’s go into the city. I’m not willing to just hide like this, and my intuition tells me that I must gain something from this event, or I’ll have to endure a winter without food.”

"Three tickets." The girl in the baseball cap blew a bubble. "Do you know anything about Prague? We need a guide."

“I can help,” came the voice of the sixth party.

The squirrel suddenly leaped up and its body, like liquid, shot into Tao Li's arms.

Tao Li covered the squirrel with her left hand, and with her right hand, a wooden pot lid appeared in her hand.

The bear-like man picked up a heavy machine gun from under his feet.

"Pop!" The girl in the baseball cap popped her bubble, picked up the kerosene lamp from the wooden table, and lit it with a hiss.

The lights shone down, illuminating the four people and the squirrel in the living room.

“This kerosene lamp can indeed make a person disappear from sight, but…” a drone slowly landed outside the window and pointed at them, “it can also make a person see other things more clearly.”

"A drone?" The girl in the baseball cap paused for a moment, then, as if remembering something, blurted out, "Wang Donghua!"

Apart from the Asian man who was still sitting on the sofa reading, the other three people and the squirrel all showed obvious unease.
