The courtyard along the river is shaded by apricot trees that form a canopy.
With his eyes closed, Li Changzhou saw Su Su, tall and agile, reappear before him. Her every move, every gesture, and even her expression and aura were exactly the same as on the stage, as if it were a video replay.
With Li Changzhou's genius-level intelligence of 7 points, he couldn't possibly remember it so clearly. Perhaps he was excited at the time and entered a state of "concentration," which increased his intelligence to 8 points.
And now, I am in a state of "focus," not in battle, and I keep trying until I can get in.
High intelligence certainly allows one to do whatever one wants, and "focus" is indeed powerful—but the upgraded "focus" at F level is still not worth mentioning; it's useless.
Immediately afterwards, the Su Su in my imagination changed; she was no longer the ordinary person who was weak and slow.
With 10 points in speed and 10 points in agility, the surprise attacks that were once taken lightly have become terrifying, and every move seems designed to kill everything.
Li Changzhou's expression was solemn as he continued to fight against the imaginary opponent.
At first, Su Su simply repeated the moves she used during the day, and Li Changzhou handled it relatively calmly, since he knew what she was going to do. Later, when she came back to life, she began to change her moves on the spot.
Li Changzhou was immediately at a disadvantage.
Su Su lightly touched the ground with her toes, twisted her hips, and her right leg stabbed towards his temple like a sharp dagger. Faced with this sudden change of move, he could only raise his arm to block it.
As Yang Qinglan and Li Qianxia carried the dinner they had bought into the yard, they saw him sometimes throwing punches, sometimes dodging, and sometimes even being kicked and bounced away.
"What's going on? Is he having a mental breakdown?" Li Qianxia asked curiously.
Yang Qinglan glanced at it and said, "To achieve success, one needs a certain degree of obsession."
Li Qianxia shrugged, indicating her incomprehension; her off-shoulder top perfectly showcased the sexiness of her collarbone.
The two took out the dishes one by one and placed them on the stone table, along with three pairs of disposable bowls and chopsticks.
"Brother, dinner's ready!" Li Qianxia called out.
Li Changzhou threw a punch with a bang, unleashing a spiraling force that left a hole in Su Su's stomach, with drill-like patterns, and blood and flesh everywhere.
He took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled, opened his eyes, and Su Su and the arena had disappeared.
"How's your practice going?" Yang Qinglan handed him a wet wipe.
"Not bad." Li Changzhou wiped his forehead and hands before sitting down on the stone bench.
A glance at the dining table immediately whetted my appetite.
Spicy boiled fish, sweet and sour pork ribs, Northeastern-style sweet and sour pork, eggplant and green beans stew, tomato and egg soup, a few skewers of grilled meat (corn kernels, potato slices, lamb), and a large bottle of coconut juice.
A month ago, the three of them really couldn't finish the food. Now, Li Changzhou and Li Qianxia have much larger appetites, while Yang Qinglan still has a small appetite and only eats a little bit of each dish.
Li Qianxia held the rib in her left hand, took a sip, and sucked the meat, which was covered in broth, down in one go. Then she sucked on the bone.
He dropped the ribs, turned his face to the side, opened his mouth, and shoved the roasted potato slice from his right hand into his mouth.
They ate with gusto, making muffled noises, their eyes already searching for the next dish, and their hands seemingly reaching for coconut juice.
Li Changzhou slowly ate a piece of fish. It was numbing, spicy, and tender, with a delicate texture, which was very satisfying.
After the meal, Li Changzhou, who hadn't gone to buy groceries, was responsible for cleaning up.
As he put the food container into the takeout plastic bag, he took a piece of paper out of the plastic bag.
"What's this?"
“Someone handed it to me on the street,” Li Qianxia said with a satisfied smile after her meal. “I thought it was an advertisement and didn’t want to accept it, but when I saw that it was a missing person notice, I accepted it.”
Yang Qinglan sipped the snow mountain mineral water and said calmly:
"Value games are Pandora's box, and players are the evil within. Chaos will soon be as ubiquitous as the air, and more and more people will go missing."
After pausing for a second or two, she continued, "If we die in the game one day, we'll become part of the missing persons list, the difference being that nobody cares."
Li Qianxia remained silent, it was unclear whether she was savoring the delicious food or pondering what she had just said.
“But as long as you have the ability and the means, a value game can also be an opportunity, can’t it?” Li Changzhou looked up from the missing person poster and said with a smile.
Yang Qinglan put down her water glass: "What, did you find something?"
“I’ve seen this missing person poster before.”
"So what if I've seen it before?" Li Qianxia asked, puzzled.
“The photos are different.” Li Changzhou’s gaze returned to the missing person poster.
The missing person is a man, about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, with a stubble beard and hair that looks like it hasn't been washed for two or three days. He is wearing a white T-shirt with the collar turned up.
"That's not surprising. Maybe his family was worried that one photo wasn't enough, so they used several to make it easier to identify him?"
“It’s not as simple as the photos being different.” Li Changzhou put down the missing person poster. “Although we don’t know what this guy is doing, or whether he has a white card or a black card, let’s go find him and have some fun.”
"I'm not going." Li Qianxia was unwilling. She had just finished eating and just wanted to lie down and rest.
"He distributed his own photo everywhere as a missing person notice... Don't you want to know his purpose?" Li Changzhou asked.
"No." Li Qianxia replied decisively.
"Aren't we going to notify Zheng Qing?" Yang Qinglan asked.
Li Qianxia let out a wail.
If her brother wanted to go alone, she could use her charm; if Yang Qinglan wanted to go alone, she could use her charm to make her brother stand with her.
But since they both wanted it, she had no choice but to want it too.
It's not democratic at all.
"Let's not notify them yet. What if it's Bai Ka? What if... he's a bad person?" Li Changzhou pressed his hand on the missing person poster, his large hand like a five-fingered mountain pressing down on the photo.
