An ending always reminds us of a beginning.
The early stages of "King of the Black Mist" were just as bumpy as those of "Love Game." I made the same choice both times: to keep writing.
Before I used the account 'Flying Raven' to announce my new book and promote "King of Black Mist", my editor had already advised me to give up and start a new story. I said, "Why don't I promote it on the account 'Flying Raven' and give it another try?"
The reason I chose to stick with it both times was the same: I couldn't bear to give up the role.
I find the interactions between Li Changzhou, Li Qianxia, and Yang Qinglan interesting, and I really want to see them go on adventures together, fighting side by side in various fantasy worlds. I want to give them an ending, a complete story, and I don't want to let them down.
It may sound exaggerated, but after writing three chapters, I really felt that the characters had been born and I couldn't let them go.
The performance of "Lord of the Mist" was far inferior to that of "Love Game," revealing various problems.
But allow me to attest to this: I was absolutely not being perfunctory.
Some readers may find it unpleasant, think it's poorly written, or feel the ending is rushed, among other issues.
I admit that I have felt discouraged because of poor grades; I have felt tired because of the need to keep updating for a long time; but when I sit in front of the computer and start writing, I only have one thought in my mind: 'Write this chapter well today'.
I have never sat in front of the computer and hastily and mindlessly typed anything because of other things, not even once.
The book is not good, which is entirely due to my lack of ability (I really hope that one day I can reach the level of 'as long as I put my heart into it, I can write a good book').
The only time I've ever had a problem with my attitude was with "My Girlfriend is a Voice Actress" (I apologize again). Even so, when I was writing the last chapter, all I could think was, "I must write this chapter well," and I was completely immersed in it.
Writing is something I do 365 days a year as long as the book isn't finished. With such a long period of time, it's inevitable that I'll make mistakes and get bored. I can't avoid it, but my determination to write every chapter well has never changed.
It seems like they're trying to make excuses.
Haha, no, I'm just saying whatever comes to mind. If I had to put it into words, it would be a "Letter of Apology" or "Self-Reflection".
Finally, I still hope that everyone has one or two things that make them laugh every day, and that they can be happy for a lifetime.
Last but not least, thank you to all the readers who have been following "The King of Black Mist" all this time. It's really not easy to stick with it. I love you all so much!
I really want to treat you guys to Sprite.
Last but not least, thank you to the operations team, including Matsumae Ohana; I have no way to repay you.
good evening.
