Chapter Fifteen: Too Many Elements

"If the temperature of the sand is 70 degrees Celsius, then the temperature one centimeter above the sand surface is only 60 degrees Celsius. Some animals will lift their feet to reduce contact with the sand surface."

"I told you to walk on tiptoe!"

"But 20 centimeters below the surface of the sand, the temperature is only 30 degrees Celsius, and animals such as spiders, beetles, and moles will hide under the sand."

As they walked, Zheng Qing shared her knowledge about the desert with the three of them.

Li Changzhou had no desire to hear any knowledge right now; he was so hot that the sound annoyed him, and all he wanted was a sip of water.

After a while, Zheng Qing also shut up, and they began to climb a sand dune that looked to be over a hundred meters high.

Halfway up the mountain, an explosion suddenly came from above.

The dunes trembled, the ground shifted, and the three men lost their footing, eventually all four of them falling to the ground.

"What happened?" Li Qianxia gripped the steel gun tightly and nervously licked her chapped lips.

"There's a fight going on above!" Zheng Qing said calmly, lying face down on the sand.

The sand rustled and the wind, full of gravel, brushed against everyone's faces.

"Should we go or not?" Li Changzhou asked Yang Qinglan, his voice a little hoarse, while holding the AK.

"We can't keep wandering aimlessly like this. We have to end the game quickly so we have the energy to walk back to the station!"

Yang Qinglan didn't say whether she would participate or not, but her meaning was already very clear.

"I'll go check the situation first!" Li Changzhou stood up, sand sliding off his body. He bent down and reached towards the sand ridge.

Before he could run very far, a figure appeared on the sand ridge.

"Hahahaha!" The man burst into wild laughter. The vast desert sands created a scene reminiscent of a martial arts film. "You didn't expect this, did you? This is my escape route!"

As he spoke, the man tucked his head into his navel, curled up into a ball, and rolled down the sand ridge.

It was moving at breakneck speed, yet it looked very slow, reminding Li Changzhou of the tires of a Lamborghini.

"Invincible Wind and Fire Wheels!" Li Qianxia shouted, quite surprised.

"It's the 'Golden Wheel Spider's' roll!" Zheng Qing corrected loudly. "The Golden Wheel Spider uses this move to escape from the spider wasps' hunt!"

"This guy must be a good person!" Li Changzhou shouted.

They had no choice but to shout.

Above the sand ridge, a giant python, over ten meters long, let out a piercing, sky-piercing roar.

"A good person? What evidence do you have?" Yang Qinglan asked Li Changzhou.

"People who like anime and manga can't be bad!"

The 'Invincible Wind and Fire Wheels' that had rolled down the hillside transformed back into a human. Looking back at them, it raised its hand, a cold light flashing on its arm.

With a whoosh, an arrow as fast as the wind shot towards Zheng Qing.

Zheng Qing braced herself with her arm on the sand, twisted her body, and dodged the attack by a hair's breadth.

As the crossbow bolt struck the sand, 'Invincible Wind and Fire Wheel' suddenly pulled its body forward.

7.62mm bullets poured out, and the muzzle of the AK-47 rose like a wild horse, only to be firmly pressed down by Li Changzhou.

"Invincible Wind and Fire Wheel" shouted, took a bullet to the shoulder, and fled in panic.

The giant python above opened its massive jaws and swooped down.

Yang Qinglan turned and stared, and the giant python retreated uncontrollably back to the sand ridge.

The giant python's enormous pupils, as tall as a human, narrowed and shrunk as if adjusting their focus, staring intently at the four people like needles, without rushing forward.

Li Changzhou did not continue firing.

At such a distance, whether you can hit the target is no longer simply a matter of technique; the accuracy of the firearm itself is of paramount importance.

He shrugged, panting, and said to himself, "Li Changzhou, be careful of the two-dimensional world."

Five heartbeats later, the "M95 sniper rifle" appeared in his hands.

“You kill him! We’ll deal with the monsters overhead!” He tossed the sniper rifle to Zheng Qing.

Without saying a word, Zheng Qing braced herself on the sand again, turning into a prone position.

Rotate the bolt, load the bullet, and lock the scope onto the 'Invincible Wind and Fire Wheel'.

The Golden Wheel Spider skill of 'Invincible Wind and Fire Wheel' cannot be used on flat ground. He clutched his injured right shoulder and fled in straight lines and S-shaped patterns.

"Mosquitoes!" Li Changzhou called out to Li Qianxia.

Li Qianxia raised her slender, white neck and let out a wolf howl, the echo of which was swallowed by the desert.

The python lowered its flat head, showing no fear but becoming more alert, its tongue flicking and hissing.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" The AK exploded, and the bullets shot towards the giant python's eyes.

The giant python, being attacked by modern civilization for the first time, shook its head and roared, blood gushing from its left eye like an arrow.

Li Changzhou was pushed back by the recoil, his legs sinking inch by inch into the sand.

With her speed boost increased to 10, Li Qianxia bent her knees, leaned forward, and charged across the sand with the blood-red steel spear in hand, as fast as the wind.

The giant python lashed out with its tail, creating a deafening explosion that shook the sand dunes.

Despite its great power, it didn't even manage to touch Li Qianxia's shadow.

The "Mosquito-style Bloodsucking Gun" is like a blood snake, piercing through the snake's skin, stabbing into its flesh, and biting hard into this big guy.

Blood rushed into the gun, and a red line flowed into Li Qianxia's body.

"Ah~ It's so cool! So refreshing!" she couldn't help but groan.

The giant python turned its head and roared, its bloody maw closing down like an iron barrel, bringing a stench to the air.

Li Qianxia's body involuntarily retreated, dodging the attack.

She ran, but the giant python's single eye was fixed on her, making it impossible for her to find an opportunity to fire her gun. The scene resembled a mosquito harassing a giant python.

Li Changzhou changed his magazine and aimed at the snake's body: "Get out of the way!"

Li Qianxia took off running. The giant python twisted its body, about to give chase, but its body slid back onto the sand uncontrollably.

"Bang bang bang!"

Amidst the AK gunfire, another deafening roar erupted. In the distance, "Invincible Wind and Fire Wheel," who was running, had his head explode like a watermelon with a bang, splattering blood all over the ground.
