"Can getting promoted lead to immortality?" a dragon asked, puzzled.

Guanyin smiled gently: "Holding a golden whip, you tour the world; wearing golden armor, you display your divine power; in an instant, you face the Supreme God in three days; in a moment, you save lives in nine lands—the official I'm talking about is not an official in the mortal world, but a celestial official."
"The Heavenly Official?"
"Is he an official from Heaven?"
"The officials in the Heavenly Court are also Heavenly Officials, equivalent to those who achieve immortality without breaking the Golden Elixir. They are just third-rate, ignorant of the Heavenly Way, and hold immortal positions in vain," said Guanyin Bodhisattva.
Can one become an immortal without breaking the Golden Elixir?
Li Changzhou recalled the sword immortal he met during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties when he helped Zheng Chenggong recover Taiwan. The sword immortal possessed a technique called "Sword Control of the Nine Heavens," which allowed one to achieve immortality through the Golden Core stage.
No wonder the system rating is A-level. Even if one achieves immortality through the Golden Core stage, one will probably only ever be a Human Immortal, or a third-class Immortal, for the rest of their life.
"What is a true celestial official?" a white jade toad asked.
“In ancient times, there was the Investiture of the Gods. Those whose names were on the list were true Heavenly Officials. There was also a method for promotion. By acting in accordance with the law and gaining the recognition of Heaven and Earth, one could be called a Heavenly Official. This method did not require one to undergo human tribulations.”
"Please, Bodhisattva, teach us the way to get promoted!" the crowd shouted in unison.
Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing also perked up their ears, especially Xiaoqing, whose sister was about to become an immortal, while she had only cultivated for five hundred years.
Monsters have long lifespans, but their cultivation speed is slow. It's unknown when she will become an immortal.
If history had unfolded normally, she would not have become an immortal. After Liu Bowen slew the dragon and the Ming Dynasty was established, most of the spiritual energy on Earth would have been lost to the game of value.

Nature is about to withdraw all its spiritual energy, so how could it possibly waste resources on the position of life at this critical juncture? Players from later generations like Li Changzhou only need to think about it for a moment to understand the reason.
Those below, however, were unwilling to give up.
"Bodhisattva, please teach us, whether we succeed or not is up to our own destiny!"
"Please, Bodhisattva, have mercy!"
The scene was reminiscent of a petition by ten thousand people. Yang Qinglan saw a massive amount of faith power swirling above the Guanyin Temple, like water in a bottle.
If she has that much faith power, [Goddess of Gushe] can probably be extended by 1 to 2 seconds.

"Very well," Guanyin Bodhisattva agreed. "To be promoted, one must first submit a petition. Submitting the petition requires building an altar. The altar has no fixed form; the materials only need to be spiritually connected. Once the altar is completed, it should read: 'Ascend to heaven and earth, emerge from the netherworld and enter the darkness, submit my petition, do not linger. On the day of your merit, you will be granted an official position in heaven and earth'..."
The Guanyin Temple landed silently, and everyone was completely focused, memorizing every detail.
Those who were even slightly literate took out pens and paper, and wrote down every sentence Guanyin spoke.
Yang Qinglan turned the Emerald Bee Sword into pen and paper and took careful notes. Of course, she didn't need to be an official, but having an airplane didn't mean that bicycles and buses were useless.
Even if it doesn't really have any effect, it's still good to broaden one's horizons.
Promotion doesn't happen overnight; the first step is submitting an application, similar to registering for a job.
If you don't even give your name, how will Heaven and Earth know that you want to become an official?
Once the form is submitted, future actions will be recorded, and those who act in accordance with Heaven's will be promoted and given higher ranks.
Ordinary obedience is useless if one's merits are insufficient, nor is it enough to simply have enough merits. Rather, it is the best among all applicants who are selected.
With this kind of recruitment method, internal competition is inevitable.
Even the great bureaucrats and capitalists of God seem to favor involution—besides becoming officials, the winners also emerge from involution.
Of course, whether it's involution or hard work is a matter of opinion, and everyone's life pursuits are different. A hardworking life is not necessarily a happy life, but hard work and struggle are not wrong, and should not be blamed.
The reason for this is that Li Changzhou decided to wipe out all the other players.
His life's pursuit is to live a life where he is not controlled by anyone and can do whatever he says, and he must strive for it.
After submitting the application, one will accumulate incredible merit and be granted an official position.
After obtaining an official position, several characteristics will appear, the first of which is the 'Golden Whip'.
The golden whip strikes down all those who defy Heaven and all that defies Heaven, and it patrols the world on behalf of Heaven, which is what Guanyin previously referred to as 'patrolling the world with a golden whip in hand'.
Secondly, there is the 'Golden Armor'. Wearing the Golden Armor grants one the power of a human immortal, hence the saying 'Wearing Golden Armor, one displays divine might'.
Next is the 'Green Shoes and Wind Belt', which can protect the body.
The supernatural powers gained vary depending on the promotion method, but the 'Golden Whip', 'Golden Armor', and 'Green Shoes and Wind Belt' are the basics.
The "Golden Body Mantra of Looking Up to Heaven and Down to Earth" transmitted by Guanyin Bodhisattva, in addition to the "golden whip", "golden armor", and "green shoes and wind belt", can also grant the "fiery eyes that illuminate heaven and earth", the ability to walk on fire and wind, to pass through mountains and break rocks, to pray for sunshine and rain, to cure diseases and exorcise evil spirits, to collect plagues and eliminate poisons, to fly through clouds and mist, and to command thunder and lightning, etc.
"May I ask the Bodhisattva, how does one truly become a celestial official?" asked the mermaid, whose upper body was human.
Guanyin Bodhisattva looked towards the horizon, then looked away and smiled, saying, "The great demons of the Three Realms all bow in respect, and the heretics from the ten directions come to offer their congratulations; this is the 'Heavenly Official'."
After learning the "Golden Body Mantra of Looking Up to Heaven and Looking Down to Earth," everyone expressed their intention to submit their petitions. After all, they usually acted in accordance with the will of Heaven. What if one day they didn't become immortals through cultivation, but by sheer luck, they were promoted to a high-ranking official position?
