The dust has settled.
The ten-year war for the Holy City has finally come to an end, but for all living beings in the universe, it marks the beginning of a catastrophe.
The twelve holy figures are about to rule the world.
Once one reaches the realm of a sage, in order to advance further, only through "grand actions" such as recreating rules, destroying the universe, and cultivating civilization can one gain even a sliver of insight.
The universe is the experimental platform of sages, and heaven and earth, and all living beings are merely test subjects.
With a single thought, a sage can reverse the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death, making birth represent death, aging represent childhood, sickness represent health, and death represent birth, thus throwing a stable world into chaos.
It is certain that some civilizations will be swallowed up and overthrown.
However, it is also certain that some civilizations will achieve great prosperity and stability.
Li Changzhou and his four companions, along with Lao Gui, Xiao Yao, Xian Nu, Tian Shi, and fifteen others, left the Eighth Holy Temple and headed for the Ninth Holy Temple.
The sacred road, seventy-two light-years away, is lined with broken stone statues.
“It’s three thousand half-saints.” Tian Shi said solemnly as he examined the stone statues.
"The Demon Lord cleared this path all by himself?" the little demon exclaimed in surprise.
According to the rules of the value game, these stone statues must be of equal strength to the original body. The level, which was originally extremely bloody and theoretically would have resulted in the annihilation of the entire army, was completely destroyed by the Demon Lord alone.
Without the Demon Lord, Li Changzhou and the others drove out the remaining half-saints, which would reduce the number of stone statues, but they would still correspond to each of them.
The dragon reached out its claws and grabbed the shattered stone dragon statue in its hand.
He sensed the energy within, touched the broken section, and remained silent.
The little demon, recovering from her shock, asked the four curiously, "What if the Demon Lord really enters the main hall and we lose a holy position?"
"I'll back out," Li Changzhou said.
The Crown Princess looked at him and said, "This is what you promised and what you were supposed to do. I will never fall in love with you."
"Thank you." Li Changzhou smiled.
The group flew seventy-two light-years and entered the Ninth Temple.
Inside the temple, black dust, like snow, drifted and filled the vast, empty palace.
"Pah! Pah!" The little demon waved away the black snow.
“Sympathy.” The fairy raised her head and looked at the bright and radiant main hall gate.
The Demon Lord failed.
They had already entered the temple, but failed to enter the main hall, and were reduced to dust by the powerful force of "The Devil is One Foot Higher Than the Virtue".
"Please go first, Miss Tai," said the Corpse Gene.
“I know,” the Crown Princess smiled gently, “There is still a battle to be fought among the three of you. You will feel very unwilling if you do not settle the score before you become saints. It is a pity that I cannot be there to watch.”
"I can become a saint in your place; you can go and watch the battle," the little demon said.
"I can too," Old Ghost said shamelessly.
"Watch your words," the Crown Princess warned with a smile, then added to Li Changzhou, "Good luck."
"I am destiny."
"Now I think it's not unacceptable to let you win in the end, of course, you have to beat me first."
“That’s too easy,” Li Changzhou chuckled. “The position of ‘victor’ is only meaningful if one has to fight one’s way out of the brink of death and annihilation.”
"Based on what you just said, we are bound to have a battle in the future."
As soon as she finished speaking, the Crown Princess added, "Let's go."
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, she strode towards the main hall and disappeared into the boundless light.
The main hall's light gate suddenly disappeared, plunging the Ninth Holy Temple into darkness. This reminded Li Changzhou of the university cafeteria on weekend nights, when there were few people and only half the lights were on.
His heart was burning with passion.
As long as he keeps winning, the old days will come back, and he will be able to finish the remaining two years of university with Yang Qinglan and Li Qianxia.
You could also invite Yaochi to try the cafeteria at Mingda University.
Oh, she said that if she could do it all over again, she would come to the University of Minnesota for a two-year professional master's degree, so they could graduate together.
Li Changzhou was highly motivated to fight.
He's not afraid of even the fiercest battles, even if it's just for a carefree life; he'll fight to the bitter end.
The True Dragon and the Corpse Gene seemed to be lost in thought, determined to fight to the end for their respective beliefs.
"I want to stay and take a look. I'll give you the position of Quasi-Saint in this hall," the little demon said.
"You and Old Ghost, go inside." The True Dragon turned its head and stared at the two of them.
He wouldn't have cared before entering the Holy City, but the countless near-death experiences along the way have taught him to be cautious.
The three—a little demon, an old ghost, and a fairy—pose a threat to the holy throne.
"Seven of you twelve should also leave," Corpse Gene said to the twelve members of the Heavenly Oath.
The little demon pouted and leaped into the side hall.
The old ghost patted the ghost ox and soared into the sky.
After discussing it, Tian Shi and the others left behind Tian Shi, Tian Xin, Tian Niu, Tian Fu, and Tian Dan, while the other seven left the Holy Path with Gui Niu.
Tianxin looked around blankly, remembering that outside the First Holy City, heroes shone like stars, too numerous to count, but now only nine remained.
"Let's go." The nine people rushed out of the Ninth Temple.
This stage has no trials; without the Eighth Temple's "clearing" action, everyone would fight each other to the death in a fierce contest.
At this moment, everything was calm and uneventful, and even the flight was not in a hurry.
We arrived at the Tenth Temple.
"Fairy, come in," the true dragon said.
“Heartless,” the fairy said.
"Stop talking nonsense."
Neither the dragon nor the fairy showed any flirting; one was icy cold, the other exuded murderous intent.
With a sweep of her skirt, the fairy transformed into light and rushed into the secondary hall.
The true dragon then stared at the five people—Tian Shi, Tian Xin, Tian Niu, Tian Fu, and Tian Dan—and finally chose Tian Xin: "You, go in."
"What?!" the longhorn beetle exclaimed angrily.
Does Zhenlong mean that Tianxin is stronger and more threatening than him?
