Chapter Thirty-Six: Controlling Dopamine

"How come you didn't notice it!" Yang Qinglan demanded.

She began to suspect that Little Radish had deliberately led them here.

"That guy's target is that lizard, he's not dangerous to me!" Little Radish was so scared he wet himself.

It wanted to run away by jumping, but as soon as the thought arose, the instinct to "avoid death and prolong life" immediately pierced the idea like a needle.

It first ran on all fours, and then finally ran like a human, striding along on its two short legs.

"Crack!" The water buffalo crushed the stone in its left hand, then turned its eyes to Li Qianxia and swung it again.

"Bang bang bang!"

Pebbles splashed, and a blade of grass snapped cleanly like a twig.

Li Qianxia was in a "wolf howling" state, moving as fast as lightning and easily dodging the stones.

"Mosquito, go away."

"Brother, you..."

"Let's go." Li Changzhou's eyes were as cold as ice. He removed the empty magazine and replaced it with a spare magazine.

Li Qianxia didn't leave.

"You go first," Li Changzhou pulled the bolt and chambered a bullet, "Take Xiaoqing to a distant place to support me."

Li Qianxia bit her lip and ran towards Yang Qinglan as fast as she could.

Li Changzhou stood in the alfalfa bushes, holding an AK;

A water buffalo stands tall in the snow-capped mountain stream, dressed in a black horn-like garment.

The two faced each other across purple and blue wildflowers, where the iguana's corpse lay motionless.

The water buffalo strides forward with its thick, beam-like legs, pacing upstream along the stream.

Li Changzhou followed, always standing between it and Yang Qinglan.

A prolonged stalemate is inevitable. It's much easier for the buffalo to find a throwing angle than to block all the rubble. "Skin Reinforcement" also has a time limit, so the stalemate cannot continue.

Li Changzhou took the fully loaded AK, threw it into the grass, and strode towards the water buffalo.

The water buffalo was 1.92 meters tall, its chest heaving, its solid muscles making it look like a mountain breathing. As it looked at Li Changzhou, who had put down his weapon and was walking towards it, its nose suddenly expanded, and after a second, it slowly contracted.

It opened its right hand, and the crushed pebbles crashed into the water with a crackling sound.

Li Changzhou let out a "whoosh" as if he found it amusing.

"He has quite the spirit of a martial artist." He smiled, but his eyes remained calm.

"Moo!" The water buffalo roared to the sky, took steps forward, accelerated, and charged fiercely at Li Changzhou.

Its imposing presence is enough to scare people into scrambling and crawling, or even to leave them completely stunned.

If a baby holds a toy gun and accidentally points it at an adult's face, the adult will instinctively move away or press down on the muzzle of the toy gun.

What came rushing straight at them was neither the plastic bullets of a toy gun nor the deadly bullets of a handgun, but a bull charging like a cannonball.

Li Changzhou felt no fear.

His black eyes, set in the whites of his eyes, were focused intently. He could see clearly the eddies created by the water's ripples, the splashing flowers and grass, the buffalo's muscles, and its expression.

He simply tilted his body slightly to avoid the collision.

The water buffalo charged forward for a distance, then slowly stopped, turned around, and gave Li Changzhou a contemptuous smile.

The horn-like garments receded like the tide, then reassembled into bull horns atop its head.

Li Changzhou glanced at the AK that had been crushed by the cow's hooves, felt annoyed, and then a surge of emotions, including surprise and anger, welled up inside him.

"Controlling dopamine"

The excess emotions disappeared again.

Without his AK and without his invincible armor, the odds of a one-on-one fight are 40/60. But he still has Yang Qinglan and Li Qianxia on his side. As long as he can hold off the opponent and keep Yang Qinglan far enough away...

The advantage is in my hands.

The water buffalo kicked away the AK that had broken in two, stared at Li Changzhou with its eyes widening and narrowing.

"Thump, thump, thump!" It rushed over step by step.

The sound of footsteps made the pebbles on the riverbank tremble.

As Li Changzhou dodged, he twisted his hips, concentrating all his strength in his legs, and kicked the buffalo in the back of the knee.

The immense force caused the water buffalo to stumble and kneel on one knee, but it retaliated with a punch at Li Changzhou.

Li Changzhou turned his head and heard the whooshing sound of a fist cutting through the air.

Water Buffalo threw another punch, forcing Li Changzhou to create distance.

The opponent's fist is too big and covers too wide, making it difficult to dodge in close combat.

The buffalo stood up; its leg, which had been kicked, was slightly limping, but not to the point of hindering the fight.

Li Changzhou glanced in Yang Qinglan's direction. With Li Qianxia's help, the two of them and the monkey had almost reached the edge of the forest.

The buffalo did not continue its attack; it retreated towards the creek.

Li Changzhou remained silent, leaning forward and pressing down on it, forcibly holding it back and preventing it from getting close to the stones.

The moment he moved, the water buffalo delivered a powerful punch.

With no way to avoid it, Li Changzhou crossed his arms, tensed all his muscles, and took the punch head-on.

The powerful force shook his body, but it wasn't as overwhelming as he had imagined, and it wasn't enough to harm him with his 9-point constitution.

So, in addition to defense, the corner garment can also enhance strength.

They can fight.

Li Changzhou threw a backhand punch, which met the water buffalo's second punch.

"Bang!"

Two fists, one large and one small, collided, evenly matched.

The buffalo's nostrils widened, and then came the third punch.

Li Changzhou dodged backwards, braced himself with his hands on the ground, and propelled himself forward like a rabbit with the strength far exceeding that of his hands.

"Moo!"

The buffalo suffered a severe blow to the jaw, blood spurted from its nose, and the hide on its neck stretched as if it were about to break.

Li Changzhou stood up and aimed his fist at the bull's neck.

With even breathing, smooth blood flow, and stretched fascia, a punch capable of delivering a fatal blow was thrown.

Sensing a life-or-death crisis, the buffalo, its head held high after being kicked, suddenly flashed a crimson light in its eyes.
