A kilometer away, a bright red mech stood silently, like a ball of flame that had fallen from the sky!
Even from a distance of a thousand meters, this humanoid steel behemoth, over fifty meters tall, still manages to seize people's hearts and compress their breath with an indescribable sense of intimidation.
Magnificent, intense, and majestic.
Buzz—
The mecha's eyes glowed bright red, like a scarlet demon.
Arriving in another world feels like waking up from a sleep.
"Storm! Storm! Storm Estelle!"
A sense of crisis pierced her body, as if someone had grabbed her collar and yanked her hard, and Yang Qinglan suddenly woke up.
A blonde beauty knelt beside him.
She heard intense gunfire and explosions all around her, the shockwaves whipped through her and the blonde girl's hair, the smell of gunpowder stung their nostrils, and waves of heat emanated from the crimson flames.
She turned her head and saw a red mech and a white mech fighting against more than a dozen mechanical monsters.
{The Queen's Knights' custom-designed mechs differ from standard mechs in that they utilize state-of-the-art neural connection technology.}
{With this technology, the 26-meter-long mech almost becomes another body for the pilot, transforming the act of piloting into "wearing" it.}
{The pilots of these two mechs are Xia Gloria and Yao Steinam, respectively.}
She also had one. Yang Qinglan suddenly "remembered" it, and her gaze involuntarily turned to a certain place, where a blue mech was piled up like a corpse at the edge of the forest. Most of the gunpowder smell and heat wave from before came from this mech.
It's already obsolete.
In an attempt to stop the Imperial mechs, it suffered near-total damage and was then targeted by the 'reconnaissance' mechanical creature in front of it, causing it to fall into a coma before being rescued by the princess.
"Sizzle... sizzle..."
The mecha key on his wrist suddenly received a message from the mecha that was supposedly "dead".
Yang Qinglan looked down.
[Time: Early summer, 1678]
Location: Frontier of the 'Iinsold Empire'
[Background: The war between the Empire and the Duchy is drawing to a close. You are ordered to escort the princess and the imperial heir to their marriage. Sun, Moon, and Splendor
Main Quest: The Knight's Mission
[Mission Objective: To safely deliver Princess Beatrice to the capital of the Insolde Empire]
[Note: Sacrificed for the sake of the knight's duty!]
{Lan Esterl......Knight of the Queen's Knight Order of the Duchy of Lesstein......Guarding the Princess to the Empire of Iinsold} As she looked at the message, she simultaneously "remembered" who she was.
"Bang!" "Bang!"
A new wave of heat swept in, and the red and white mechs, having dealt with the 'reconnaissance' mechanical creature, moved towards this place with their massive bodies and light steps.
"Qinglan, this thing is amazing! It can perfectly reproduce my movements! It's just a pity that I can't use the visualization method!" the red mecha exclaimed.
"Qinglan? Visualization method?" Princess Beatrice asked in confusion.
"This is a secret of the Queen's Knights," Yang Qinglan explained casually.
"Stop chatting here, get on!" The hatch on the chest of the white mecha opened, and Yaochi, dressed in a female military uniform and looking heroic, sat inside.
As the hatch opened, the right hand of the white mecha was spread out beside the two people.
Yang Qinglan quickly got into the swing of things and said to the princess, "Princess, you ride in Yao's mecha, and I'll ride in Xia's."
Princess Beatrice didn't move. She shook her head weakly: "It's no use. The Empire sent three Imperial mechs to attack us. No matter what we do, we will be found and killed."
Yang Qinglan had no time to comfort her; she stood up and tossed her into the hands of the white mecha.
The white mecha clasped its right hand together, its five mechanical fingers imprisoning the princess like a prison. With a flick of its wrist, it sent the princess into the cockpit in its chest.
As the air compressed and the hatch closed, Yang Qinglan stepped into the red mecha as the white mecha stood up.
The cockpit was very narrow, which was one of the reasons why Yang Qinglan had to separate from the princess.
Li Qianxia sat in the driver's seat, wearing a military vest and shorts, revealing her strong and slender arms and legs.
Her hands reached into the grooves of the neural connection device, her right foot was on a pedal that controlled the power output of the reactor, and her left foot also had a pedal that was the cockpit ejection device—once ejected, the machine would self-destruct according to the pre-programmed sequence.
"Where's your brother?" Yang Qinglan asked immediately.
“He’s fine.” Li Qianxia replied while piloting her mecha to catch up with the white mecha ahead. “For some reason, this world prohibits the use of teleportation skills, so we can’t call him over.”
The two mechs weighed over a hundred tons each, galloping through the mountains like giants, but only made a slight driving sound, not even as loud as the rustling of leaves brushing against the ground.
Yang Qinglan thought for a moment and said:
"Perhaps it's related to our mission. If we can use teleportation, you can call your brother over, and then we can find a photo of the Imperial Capital. The mission will be much easier to complete."
Just as Li Qianxia was about to nod in agreement, the princess's voice came from the teammates' channel.
"The three of you should run away. The Empire's target is me. As long as you separate from me, they won't harm you."
"What you should do now is shut up and obediently wait to be your bride," Yaochi lectured without any politeness.
Princess Beatrice was not angry at her attitude. Instead, she continued to persuade her with a worried tone: "Yao, Lan, Xia, you are the elite of the Queen's Knights. You have also fought against the Imperial Knights head-on. There is no need to sacrifice yourselves for the impossible."
