Chapter Ninety-Four: The Dancing House

"Okay." Wang Donghua knew he couldn't do anything to him and didn't bother wasting time. "The zombie worms are transporting more powerful weapons here. I'm going to withdraw the intercepting drones now. Be careful."

The drones flew out of the building in neat formation, buzzing as they went.

"Brother Donghua, my men are clueless, let them go!" Li Changzhou shouted to the departing drone.

It's unclear whether Wang Donghua is still paying attention to this place, and no drone answered his question.

After the drone left, the soldiers quickly retreated, but instead of becoming safer, the place became more dangerous, as heavy weapons could arrive at any time and completely destroy it.

Li Changzhou turned his gaze to the six players.

Three foreigners, one man and two women;

Two Asians, one male and one female;

There was also a dog, a dachshund with a black body and brown limbs.

Two men, holding shields, stood in front of the woman and the dog. The dog was injured and lay panting in the arms of a foreign woman with its eyes closed.

The six players were also sizing up the man covered in people and pets.

They knew better than anyone how dangerous the gunfire and artillery outside were, yet these few people managed to break in.

“You heard it too,” Li Changzhou said bluntly, without bothering with pleasantries, “The zombie worms are about to bomb this place. Give me your points and I’ll take you out.”

"Impossible!" The Asian man with the shield rejected his suggestion without even thinking.

They weren't speaking Xia language, they were... not Xia language, so it doesn't matter which country's language it is.

"Then I'll just wait here to collect your corpses. Anyway, I survived the bombing." Li Changzhou said indifferently, his tone becoming lazy for a moment.

"Wait!" the foreign woman holding the dog shouted. "I'll give you this, please save me and the pizza, it needs treatment!"

“Very good, these two passengers, please buy tickets.” Li Changzhou shrugged.

"Wait a minute—" The Asian man tried to stop her, but the foreign woman, carrying a sausage called Pizza, had already stepped out of the shield's protective circle.

Bi was already quite skilled; with a flick of her finger, she took the identity cards from both the person and the dog.

Li Changzhou didn't bother to check the instincts and skills; he simply took the thirty points and returned the identity card to them.

"Thank you." The foreign woman nodded to Li Changzhou, her voice slightly choked with tears, and stood behind him.

The snowy owl twisted its neck, facing forward but its face was fixed on the person and the dog, to prevent them from attacking—an owl's head can turn 270 degrees.

"Anything else?" Li Changzhou asked the remaining people.

The remaining two women seemed tempted as Li Changzhou readily returned the identity card, but were stopped by the two men.

"We have shields!"

"Bombing and bullets can't do anything to us!"

They said that to the woman.

Yang Qinglan glanced at them, then turned to Bi and said, "Don't you think their shields look familiar?"

"Hmm?" Bi didn't pay any attention to this group of people. She was on guard against the possible bombing at any time. When she heard what she said, she peeked out from behind Li Changzhou.

"Hahahaha!" she burst into laughter. "It's actually that turtle's shell!"

Those two shields, roughly V-shaped, were the giant tortoise shells that Li Changzhou had split in two on the Trojan Bridge.

Li Changzhou had considered taking the tortoise shell with him, but it was too heavy—non-system items couldn't be put in his backpack, and with the Tsar Princess around, he didn't need another shield.

"That piece of trash that was cleaved in two by my mount, and someone actually went to pick it up! Let you lowly people see what a real shield is!"

Bi raised the wooden pot lid in her hand as if she were raising her princess's laurel wreath.

After listening to the four people who were somewhat flustered, they immediately calmed down after seeing the pot lid.

The foreign man said, "It was definitely a scam..."

A cannon shot rang out.

Dust was scattered on the ceiling, and the walls were covered with spiderweb-like cracks.

"Ah!!!" The two women opposite screamed.

The two men closed the shields together, reforming them into a tortoise shell that protected the four people inside.

Amidst the violent shaking, Li Changzhou remained motionless. The snow owl extended its claws and gripped the shoulders of the woman holding the dog, its slender claws holding her in place like a mechanical arm.

Bang!

The earthquake trembled, and the dancing house began to sink as if it were sinking into a swamp.

The tortoise shell was indeed highly defensive, thwarting both bombing and collapse.

"Don't hesitate any longer," Yang Qinglan said.

"With four fewer people, we're closer to 500, and time is even more pressing," Li Changzhou sighed. This time, he wasn't being kind.

The reason for not taking action was to avoid reducing the number of people, and also to prevent these individuals from having special instincts or skills.

He opened his hand, and the Emerald Bee Sword slid from his sleeve into his palm.

Two streaks of green light flashed, and four identity cards popped out from the turtle's head, exactly the same as when the turtle died.

"Let's go!" Li Changzhou sheathed his sword, grabbed the woman's shoulder with his free right hand, and leaped out of the dancing house.

The four identity cards were enveloped in telekinesis and followed closely behind.

A loud bang came from behind, and the house was hit by another blast.

The seemingly intact tortoise shell on the seventh floor cracked during the violent shaking, as did the people inside.
