Chapter 1 Chapter 1 "Something fell from the sky...

"Something fell from the sky." Nanpu slowly ground the ink while glancing out the bright window and whispered to Bai Tianming who still had his head down.

There was a loud bang outside, and something really fell from the sky.

Bai Tianming paused for a moment with his hand holding the pen, then he raised his head and looked out the window. There was an open space outside, and on the open space, there was a crooked thing more than usual.

He put down his pen, stood up, straightened his wrinkled clothes, walked around his stool, walked to the door, looked at the dust rising from the open space, and squinted his eyes.

A man crawled out from the twisted things, his body covered in blood, his clothes in disarray, his shoes askew, and he was coughing on the ground with his head down. At first glance, he looked like a lizard that had rolled in the mud.

After the man finished coughing, he sat up from the ground, raised his head with difficulty, looked around, and immediately saw Bai Tianming standing at the door not far away. He was stunned for a moment.

Before Bai Tianming could do anything, the man turned around and ran. Then, his foot tripped on the door frame and he fell to the ground with a bang, face down. He seemed to have hit his nose and let out a cry of pain in his throat. He struggled twice, probably trying to get up, but failed and simply lay down again.

I don’t know if it’s because it saves energy and isn’t as painful, but it looks like he’s lying on his back, completely defenseless.

Bai Tianming said to Nan Pu beside him with a half-smile, "This guy looks like he's had a brain injury."

Nan Pu wanted to laugh, but felt it was inappropriate to do so now, so he held it back. His expression looked a little strange, and the corners of his lips twitched twice. He nodded seriously and replied, "It seems like I hit my head."

Bai Tianming laughed, walked to the threshold, and looked down at the man. The stranger was lying there motionless, as if pretending to be dead.

No wonder he didn't run away. It turned out he was just giving up.

Bai Tianming squatted down, his hands in his pockets, and said to the man sarcastically, "Your acting skills are not very good."

After a pause, seeing that he didn't respond, Bai Tianming asked slowly, "You really can't get up?"

The man still didn't react, probably because he had made up his mind to go all the way to the end.

Seeing that he would not turn back until he hit the wall, Bai Tianming stood up and waved to Nanpu not far away.

Nanpu understood, turned around, and took out a bottle of pungent, turbid black oil and a lighter from the drawer next to him.

Nanpu handed the lighter to Bai Tianming. Bai Tianming held the lighter and Nanpu unscrewed the bottle in his hand. The bottle was not big, but slender. After unscrewing it, a strong smell of inferior oil came out.

Nanpu turned his hand and the oil in the bottle poured onto the person on the ground. Bai Tianming pressed the lighter, and with a puff, fire came out of the lighter, a bright and brilliant flame.

Bai Tianming brought the flaming lighter close to the man on the ground. The man's hair had been splashed with oil and was wet and greasy on the surface.

The flame moved closer, emitting bright light and heat, swaying slightly like flowers swaying in a lotus pond, but in the eyes of the man on the ground, it was the horn of death.

He was betting that Bai Tianming would not burn him here, because he was lying on the threshold, and if he was burned, the threshold would also be burned, and the yard might not be saved.

But the flames were getting closer and closer. He watched helplessly, and for a moment his brain short-circuited. He felt that he had no way out, and then he jumped up.

Bai Tianming was almost hit on the chin by him, so he quickly dodged and the fire in his hand naturally went out. Seeing that he had already stood up, he thought that he would not need the lighter anymore, so he threw the thing in his hand aside and gave it to Nanpu.

Nanpu took the lighter and felt helpless about Bai Tianming's habit of throwing things away casually, but even he himself felt that this little matter was insignificant, as long as His Majesty the King was happy, so no one had ever raised any objections to it.

He just silently put the lighter into his pocket, thinking that he would put it back to its original place later. As for the rest, as long as His Majesty the King was happy, that was all that mattered.

"You actually have a fever!" The stranger's face flushed red. He had held his breath in panic just now. Now he was gasping for breath and shouting, his chest heaving violently.

"It's so fun to burn it!" Bai Tianming smiled at him slowly.

The stranger was choked by his words and couldn't tell for a moment whether he was serious. After thinking about it, he couldn't figure it out, so he simply sat on the doorstep, wiped his wet hair, and smelled it. It was a greasy smell. Sure enough, he was not mistaken. The liquid that was splashed on him just now was oil.

Moreover, the quality is very poor, the smell is extremely strong, and smoke will come out when it is lit. Most people don’t use this thing when they cook on the stove. I didn’t expect that this place, which looks so bright and beautiful, still has such an old antique.

I really have to admit defeat!

Seeing that he seemed to be about to become autistic, Bai Tianming kicked the threshold beside him. When he looked up, he asked him, "Where are you from?"

"From far away." The stranger wiped his hair again, frowned, and looked quite annoyed, but still answered his question. However, he was still absent-minded when he spoke, and no one knew what he was thinking about. It seemed that he had something very important that he was anxious to do, but he couldn't do it, so he was just anxious.

Bai Tianming blinked his eyes, clasped his hands over his chest and looked at him. Suddenly, he saw an extremely gorgeous flower on his chest. It was dark red in color, and looked black because of the blood stains. He couldn't help but raise his eyebrows.

Does this person seem quite interesting? If I keep him here, life shouldn't be too boring. When he gets boring, I can just throw him out. I guess it won't take long.

Because most people are boring.

The stranger noticed that Bai Tianming was staring at him without blinking. He didn't know what he was looking at. He followed his gaze and looked down. He saw his exposed chest. His face flushed. He quickly gathered up his tattered clothes to cover his chest. He pressed the tattered clothes with his arms to prevent them from falling apart and curling up. He looked like a decent woman being molested by a playboy on the street. His face was so red that it seemed like blood was about to drip.

"It's too late for you to stop me now," Bai Tianming said, looking down at him with a half-smile. Although he didn't whistle, his voice was brisk, like a horse galloping across the plains. "I've already seen it."

The stranger's ears also turned red, and he lowered his face and buried it in his arms. Although his eyes were open, there was only darkness in front of him. Even so, his heart was still pounding, like a lively rabbit that was caught in a cage and refused to give in. It kept banging against the outside of the cage and refused to stop. It was very scary and strong, and people didn't know what to do.

Did he see it clearly? Did he recognize it? Did he already know? Was he deliberately testing me, or was he truly clueless and just trying to prank me on the spur of the moment?

"What's your name?" Bai Tianming approached the stranger and asked him.

The stranger was startled and fell to the side, hitting his head against the door. With a bang, his eyes rolled back and he lay on the ground, almost fainting.

Bai Tianming didn't expect that his reaction was so quick and precise that he could find the door and run into it with his eyes closed. Or maybe he was just unlucky, but it was quite rare for him to be so unlucky.

Bai Tianming observed him for a while and found that he was unable to open his eyes on his own. He provided him with treatment and he woke up.

At first he didn't realize where he was and thought he was in bed. He struggled a few times and tried to get up from the bed, but in fact, he was still on the ground. As soon as he struggled, he hit the door again.

Bai Tianming frowned, a little worried that he would pass the bad luck to others, so he moved closer to him and kept some distance.

He lay on the ground for a while, regained some consciousness, sat up, looked around, and found that he had not left. He was a little disappointed, and a hint of frustration appeared in his eyes. He lowered his head and seemed to sigh silently.

Bai Tianming was shocked by his sentimentality, his head buzzing and he was stunned for a moment.

No one spoke and the yard was very quiet. Nanpu brought a small stool from the house and asked Bai Tianming to sit on it. He could talk slowly about whatever he wanted to say without having to sit on the ground.

Bai Tianming sat on the stool, cleared his throat, and asked the previous question again: "What's your name?"

The stranger looked up at him and replied, "Mo Rusheng."

Bai Tianming thought about it and politely praised, "It's a good name." In fact, he still felt a buzzing in his head and was a little overwhelmed, but it was not obvious from the surface.

Nanpu poured him another cup of mint honey water. He took a sip and returned the cup. He didn't like mint very much, but after drinking it, he did feel a lot more sober.

Nanpu took the cup away silently.

"How did you fall in my yard?" Bai Tianming supported his chin with one hand, his elbows on his knees, and asked Mo Rusheng with a look as if he was reading a story.

Mo Rusheng didn't notice his gaze, but just thought about it, blinked his eyes, and said absentmindedly: "Accident."

This answer was too brief. Bai Tianming was dissatisfied and frowned. He asked again, "What accident?"

Mo Rusheng glanced at Bai Tianming and found that he was serious about getting to the bottom of the matter, which meant that he didn't actually see anything.

Mo Rusheng suddenly felt relieved, but also inexplicably lost. It was a good thing for him that Bai Tianming didn't know about his situation, but why did he think for a moment that maybe it would be better if he knew?

"The bird I was riding suddenly went crazy," Mo Rusheng hesitated, "and fell off."
