Chapter 43 Chapter 43 Purple lightning is like a little snake...
Purple lightning scurried around the silver flower like a little snake, burning the owner of the flower so much that he couldn't hold it. Apos had to pick the flower off and throw it away.
At the same time, the flame on the flower suddenly flashed, and a half-body figure that was extremely similar to Apos was cast out. The flower fell to the ground and the figure swayed.
"I know you won't answer my message," Boaz said with a smile as the swaying figure stabilized. "But it doesn't matter. I used a little trick to forcefully open your communicator and project the message. You won't blame me, will you?"
Apos blinked, took a step forward, and, as if Boaz were right there, angrily and bluntly declared, "Who else should I blame if not you? I curse you to hell."
The person on the other side seemed to have not heard the angry words at all. He was still smiling and showed the small dagger in his hand to Apos. It was a pitch-black, sharp dagger inlaid with dark purple gems.
Boaz slowly caressed the dagger's slightly curved tip with his fingers, as if caressing the most fragile and tender petal in the world. A hazy, intoxicated smile graced his face. "I heard you recently accepted a mission involving a spatial rift? Great. I accepted one too. But my mission is different from yours. Do you know how?"
He unconsciously exerted force with his hand and pressed on the sharp corner of the dagger. The dagger cut his skin and bright red blood flowed out from under his skin. The next second, the blood was swallowed by the black hole.
A small space crack appeared in front of him.
He inserted his finger in and then withdrew it, showing his bony finger to the other side of the projection. It was dripping with blood. He took a sip, then took it out again. He smiled and said, "My mission is to create spatial rifts until I find the space behind that spatial rift that people mentioned last time."
Bai Tianming and Sada exchanged glances. It seemed that the other party could not see them at all. It was not their illusion.
There seemed to be no sound on the other end, as if Boaz had forced the communication open just to show the projection and this conversation, which was weird but also a bit comical.
At this moment, the projection flashed and suddenly disappeared.
Apos frowned, walked forward, reached out to pick up the silver flower that fell on the ground, washed and wiped it with magic, and after making it clean, he looked at it carefully.
"How is it?" Bai Tianming looked at him like a patient's family member looking at the doctor at the door of the operating room.
"It turned out that the communication was forced open. It has been disconnected now. I don't know if something happened on his end or if he only set the projection to be so short." Apos put down the thing in his hand and answered seriously.
"Let's try calling him again," Sada suggested with a smile. "Perhaps the projection is indeed that short, but the words haven't been finished yet. The reason it's so short is just to make you angry while telling you something, to pique your curiosity and make you ask him."
"There is no brotherhood between us!" Apos frowned, almost with disgust, and said without thinking.
"I know!" Sada nodded: "I saw it just now."
Sadah looked at Apos with a half-smile, like the snake on the apple tree in the Garden of Eden, and handed him an apple. He said calmly and meaningfully, "I didn't say how deep his feelings for you were. It's just that maybe he has some other conspiracy."
Apos looked at Sadah with a complicated expression. After a moment of silence, he said with emotion, "You really deserve the name of a demon."
Sada just smiled and said nothing.
They were silent in the prayer room for a while. Apos thought and thought, and Bai Tianming began to walk back and forth. When Apos thought it through, Bai Tianming stopped and looked at him.
He took a deep breath, obviously prepared to be angry to death. His scalp tingled and his face turned slightly pale. He picked up his communicator, gritted his teeth, and dialed the number.
He got through.
There was a flurry of sounds and a series of crackling sounds coming from the other side, as if all the bottles and jars on the walls of the laboratory had been knocked over and broken to the ground.
Liquids of different colors flowed quietly, and fragments of glass jars were everywhere. I stepped on them with every step I took, and as I walked my way, the soles of my shoes were covered with glass fragments.
The liquid on the ground made a sizzling sound, and no one could tell whether it was the ground being corroded or the soles of the shoes. Maybe both, and some people were bleeding.
Blood dripped onto the ground and mixed with other things, making it impossible to tell what was what. All I could smell was a pungent, strong odor that floated up from the ground and rushed straight to my brain.
Apos blinked, and the patient and calm expression on his face disappeared, replaced by surprise and confusion, and a little dazed. After a while, a voice came from the other side.
"Remember me? Disgusting thing." A cold and hoarse voice came from the communicator. It sounded like a small snake crawling around the ears, giving people the illusion that there was a hissing sound in the space.
The expression on Apos's face instantly turned into anger and forbearance, with a hint of impatience. His tone was wary and disdainful, and he refused to be at a disadvantage. He said bluntly: "You lowly beast, there is nothing worse than you in the world."
"What do you want from me?" Boaz sneered and asked sinisterly in a hoarse voice, leaning against the receiver with ill intent.
He probably knew that his voice was a torture to Apos, so he did it on purpose.
The muscles on Apos's face twitched twice, and he gritted his teeth. His ears were already rapidly turning blood red with anger, as if he wanted to rush over and bite off a piece of flesh from Boaz's face. He took a deep breath to calm his emotions and said impatiently, "Didn't you send out all the projections?"
There was a burst of wild laughter from the other side.
After laughing, Boaz, who was out of breath, slapped the table, slowly stood up, and wiped the corners of his eyes, which were filled with warm, sticky, and turbid liquid caused by his laughter.
He casually wiped his wet fingers on his clothes, propped up his chin with one hand, tilted his head and looked at the screen, full of malice. In a voice even hoarser than before, he said with a slow smile: "Yes, I haven't finished sending it. I'll wait for you to beg me. If you beg me, I will tell you everything."
"Even when you become a sheep floating in the warehouse of a cargo ship on the sea, a worm in the wool, and are beaten into blood plasma and fragments by disgusting and rough hands, I will not pity you! Please? You are crazy!" Apos closed his eyes in anger and roared in a low voice, making his voice hoarse.
Unfortunately, their voices were too similar to be hoarse.
Boaz found it even funnier, as if he had seen a dozen clowns with painted faces, and he burst into laughter.
When Apos heard Boaz's laughter, he wanted to throw the communicator in his hand out of the window.
But he couldn't do that because the call hadn't been disconnected and he didn't know what was behind the projection, so he muted the communicator.
After a long while, he took a deep breath and returned to his normal volume. Boaz, anticipating this, smiled and asked, "You haven't changed your mind yet?"
Apos remained silent. He simply couldn't do it, didn't even want to think about it. Unless, unless someone else used his voice to do it, but what was the point? That would be even more disgusting! It would be better for him to go alone, but he really felt disgusted.
The other side heard no sound, only breathing, and then smiled and said: "You poor beggar, I hope you freeze to death on the winter street. But I am a kind person. I will give you the last candle. Although you have no fire and cannot light it, it is because of your incompetence.
Since you just made me happy, I will tell you reluctantly."
He paused for a moment and then said slowly, "I heard that the Demon King appeared near the space rift."
This is the lower half of the projection.
Apos glanced at Sadah standing opposite him and felt his anger rising to his head. He closed his eyes to avoid taking his anger out on innocent people and demons.
His breathing became heavy, and he really wanted to turn anything here into powder with his fist, but this was a prayer room and he shouldn't do that, so he restrained himself.
When Boaz heard his voice, he lit up like a smoker puffing on a cigarette, clapping his hands and laughing, saying, "I knew it! You're still so irritable! You useless brat!"
Apos held the communicator farther away to avoid being provoked into losing control of everything.
The other side mocked for a long time before slowly saying, "The Temple wants to take this opportunity to kill the Demon King. Even if they can't kill him, killing some demons is still profitable. The Temple doesn't mind doing such a thing, so they sent me here. I am now preparing to open a space rift leading to the Demon King's location."
Apos said subconsciously: "You can't do this."
Boaz snorted and said with disdain, "When will it be your turn to teach me how to do things? You are nothing but trash! You are not worthy of me! If it weren't for our damned blood, you would never see me even if you saw a ghost."
Apos sneered, "I'd rather see hell!"
Boaz paused for a moment, then said grimly, "I'm going to open a dimensional rift and come to you, then kill everyone around you and say I've treated you like demons. So, fend for yourself, damn you."
As he hung up the phone, he cursed, "How dare you talk back to me! I knew it! This kind of thing should be strangled to death, thrown into the trash can, thrown into the meat grinder! Thrown into the chimney! Thrown into the coal mine!"
Before he finished speaking, the silver flower in Apos's hand made a beeping sound, and it was obvious that the communication was disconnected.
It seems that Boaz will not stop using the dagger to open a space crack unless he finds the devil or Apos.
