Chapter 15

Chapter 15

The kitten instinctively moved its mouth, ate most of the food on the plate, and then fell asleep on the dining table. Yan Xuanjin scooped it up into his arms and carried it to the training ground.

Inside the training ground, the members of Dark Blade gathered in the center in an orderly manner, waiting for Yan Xuanjin to assign them tasks for today's morning exercises.

"Today we have a physical training session. Sentinels will run 100 laps around the field, guides 50 laps. No use of mental power is allowed. Start." Yan Xuanjin quickly assigned the tasks and stood at the starting line holding the cat to supervise.

100 laps wasn't too difficult for a Dark Blade sentinel, but it still took some time. Mao'er slept in Yan Xuanjin's arms for a while, then woke up half asleep. Feeling the warmth in his arms was too intense, she ran to the center of the training ground and lay down to continue sleeping.

Yan Xuanjin let the cat choose a seat in the training ground, and he calmed down and followed the last one to observe the status of the members.

"Vulture! Follow the first echelon!"

"Cheetah! Slow down! You're running so fast, you don't want to run for the next 30 laps, right?!"

"Guide at the back! Run faster! If you get lapped 10 times by the sentry, you'll have to add 5 more sets of physical training!"

After all the sentries and most of the guides had completed the required number of laps, he put away the smart computer with the timing function in his hand and ran to the finish line to wait for the few guides who had not caught up.

"All of you, go do five more sets of physical training. If a guide isn't in good physical condition on the battlefield, they'll easily become targets for the enemy, you know?" Yan Xuanjin said, looking at the guide standing in front of him, breathless from running. "Once your physical fitness improves, add your mental strength, and the effect will be obvious. You must persevere."

"Yes, Boss."

"Got it, boss."

"Well, let's go do physical training." Yan Xuanjin waved at them and walked to the middle of the training ground. He picked up the kitten whose half body was buried in the grass. When he touched it, he found something wrong - why was it so hot?

Yan Xuanjin frowned and immediately took the cat to the elk's medical room.

"Take a look at it, it seems to have a fever." Yan Xuanjin put the cat on the workbench and looked at the elk nervously.

The elk had just finished morning training and was feeling very tired when he was dragged by his boss to do hard labor.

His voice was a little hazy, but he still smiled and joked, "Ever since this kitten came to our base, the number of times you come to my place has skyrocketed..."

"Stop joking, it seems to have started releasing the guide element again." Yan Xuanjin sniffed the fresh air in the room and bit his back teeth - the guide element with such a smell seemed to be particularly attractive to him.

The elk then became serious and took a thermometer to take the cat's temperature.

Beep——

Body temperature is 39℃, almost 40℃.

The elk suddenly became serious, but also a little bewildered. "I don't know if human fever-reducing medicine has any side effects on cats, and I don't know if cats can take antibiotics. Does the information you read mention this?"

"No." Yan Xuanjin looked very unhappy. Seeing the cat's uncomfortable look, he felt even worse.

"Then we might just have to cool him down physically and see if he can survive." Milu was helpless. He observed Yan Xuanjin's condition for a few moments, then took out a tube of inhibitor and handed it to him. He said uncertainly, "I can't give him a guide hormone inhibitor in this situation. I can only use a masking agent to hide the smell... Take this, just in case it helps."

Yan Xuanjin was silent for a moment, put down the inhibitor, and sprayed the cat and himself all over with concealing agent before picking up the cat and taking it back to his dormitory.

After arriving in the room, he put the cat on the bed, clicked a few times on the intelligent brain, and transmitted some information about the kitten to the elk, asking him to study it further, saying that if it didn't work, he could find some solutions.

Yan Xuanjin walked into the bathroom, filled a basin with cold water, found a towel, brought it to the bedside and planned to apply a wet compress to the kitten, but he saw that the kitten had woken up.

"I……"

A strange yet pleasant voice belonging to a young man came from the direction of the cat, leaving both parties stunned.

Yan Xuanjin's eyes were wary for a moment. He put down what he was holding and slowly approached the cat that was standing there in a daze.

"What did you say?" he asked.

But the cat didn't speak anymore.

"Speak." Yan Xuanjin's voice was dangerous and low, filled with some unknown emotions.

"...Is my voice...unpleasant?" Kitty asked timidly. He lowered his head, not daring to look at Yan Xuanjin's expression. Otherwise, he would have noticed that his yellow-green eyes were filled not with disgust, but with surprise, joy, and some complex emotions.
