Chapter 22
"Stop blinking." A man held the camera and said helplessly to the boy opposite.
"Hmm." The boy seemed nervous, staring blankly at the camera lens, his blue eyes filled with curiosity and a hint of fear at unfamiliar things. He tried to open his eyes wide, his dull expression reflected on the large screen nearby, making him look particularly easy to bully.
Snap——
The flash went on and off.
The boy's expression didn't relax until the man said yes.
Yan Xuanjin was waiting for him on the side, secretly using his smart brain to take pictures of his expressions captured by the camera on the big screen, and kept them for himself.
The young man was allowed to leave and walked over. He was tall and slender. Even though his average height was not considered tall in an era where the average height was 170 to 180 meters, his good proportions made him look very well-proportioned. He walked up to Yan Xuanjin, tilted his head slightly, and asked, "Where's my ID card?"
"It'll take thirty minutes." Yan Xuanjin led him to a bench and sat him down, then asked, "Can I call you Lingyun? If you don't like it, there's still time to tell them now."
"Okay," the kitten replied simply, "it sounds much better than 01."
Yan Xuanjin was silent for a moment, but he finally asked the question in his mind: "01... Who gave you this name?"
"I don't know. They've been calling me that since I woke up." The kitten said nonchalantly.
Remembering the test number in the kitten's information, Yan Xuanjin understood and told Lingyun the next arrangements.
"Tomorrow, go to the registration office and register with Fengniao. She'll teach you how to master your abilities as a guide. Once you pass the guide assessment, you can join the team for training. A week from now, there's a relatively easy mission, and you'll be joining the team in actual combat." Yan Xuanjin arranged the rest of the day in perfect order. Then, as if remembering something, he instructed, "There's a discrepancy between your ID card and your real information. Keep it secret. Just tell others the information on your ID card."
Ling Yun saw his information from Yan Xuanjin. He didn't quite understand why he couldn't tell others about his information. Judging from the report, there was nothing special about it. Xiaomao didn't know what kind of public opinion would be aroused once his S-level result was made public.
Ling Yun thought about it for a while, but couldn't figure it out, so he stopped thinking about it and asked another question: "Who are outsiders?"
Yan Xuanjin was stunned, thought for a moment, and replied: "Except for the elk, the hummingbird, you, me, and the team, don't tell anyone else."
"All right."
…
Half an hour passed quickly, and Lingyun soon got her own ID card.
"Wow, I look so good in the picture!" The kitten took the card, held it in the air and looked at it carefully.
Yan Xuanjin took a quick glance and felt that the image above was not even one-tenth of his appearance, so he continued to implant the body chip into his left arm.
"Let's go. Next, I'll go buy you an intelligent computer." Yan Xuanjin stood up, rubbed his head, and after attracting his attention, he helped him and himself put on virtual masks and got on the aircraft.
…
"He's so weird."
Ling Yun was originally following Yan Xuanjin obediently, but after passing by someone, he suddenly stopped.
Yan Xuanjin stopped when he heard this and asked seriously, "Who? What did you feel?"
"I don't know. He gives me a very strange feeling, wet and cold."
Yan Xuanjin became serious and asked Ling Yun to stay where she was. He concealed his breath and footsteps, followed the man, pretending to bump into him accidentally, and scanned his left arm with his intelligent brain - but found that there was no identity chip on the man's left arm.
He immediately retrieved the surrounding surveillance footage and obtained the man's appearance and identity information. After reporting to the military, he immediately arranged for information department personnel and combat personnel to track him down.
His fingertips kept clicking on the virtual keyboard, and after finishing everything, he rushed back to Lingyun - and then saw him talking to a tall man.
"No, I'm full."
When Yan Xuanjin walked over, he heard Ling Yun's answer.
He had a bad look on his face as he walked forward and looked at the tall man, giving off an air of someone who was not to be trifled with.
"Don't get me wrong, I just saw him staring at the ice cream shop and wanted to invite him to have ice cream." The man looked at Yan Xuanjin with a smile, not afraid of confronting him at all.
It’s really unusual…
Yan Xuanjin thought to himself.
"I'll take him there, thank you for your kindness." He replied coldly and took Lingyun to the ice cream shop across the street.
The greedy kitten followed him obediently, feeling that he was angry but not understanding why.
But he bought me ice cream, so he shouldn't be angry anymore...
Ling Yun sat obediently in his seat, watching Yan Xuanjin walking towards him with a double scoop of ice cream.
He reached out to take it, but he dodged it.
"Don't talk to strangers outside in the future, okay?"
Ling Yun's eyes were fixed on the thing in his hand, which made Yan Xuanjin a little unhappy.
"I know, I know. The ice cream is about to melt. Give it to me quickly." He took it carefully and took the first bite with his tongue. "Delicious!"
Yan Xuanjin sat opposite Ling Yun, looked at his increasingly bright eyes, and shook his head - what a useless look, he was afraid that others would just follow him happily if they just beckoned him with food.
