Chapter 44
"Want to go out and play?" After hugging for a while, Yan Xuanjin had adjusted his mood. He let go of Ling Yun, gently stroked his white hair with one hand, and asked, "Is there anything you particularly like?"
Ling Yun's eyes lit up at that. The clear blue seemed like a blend of sky and sea, evoking a sense of boundless beauty. Yan Xuanjin gazed into those eyes, quietly awaiting a response.
Ling Yun thought for a while, blinked, and said, "I want to go to the aquarium!"
"Then we'll go in the afternoon." Yan Xuanjin nodded, and looking at his happy expression, the heaviness in his eyes dissipated a little.
…
After lunch, Yan Xuanjin drove the aircraft and took Ling Yun to the largest aquarium on the capital planet.
As soon as he stepped inside, a thick, wet, fishy smell hit him. Yan Xuanjin felt a little uncomfortable. His sentry's keen sense of smell magnified the smell many times in his brain. However, Ling Yun adapted well and even walked towards a large water curtain with interest. The lights became psychedelic, and the faint blue reflected on Ling Yun's cool profile, making him look as if he was about to disappear into the water curtain.
Yan Xuanjin suddenly felt uneasy. He walked forward and took his wrist. When Ling Yun turned around in confusion, he made up an excuse and said, "There are too many people here. I was worried about getting separated from you."
Ling Yun nodded as if he understood, then turned back and looked up at the swimming fish projected on the water curtain.
"Do these fish really exist?" Ling Yun asked.
"Yes, the fish you see are all the species on display in this aquarium. Many of them were discovered from other galaxies and then brought back here to be raised."
Ling Yun nodded again, showing no interest in these virtual images, and dragged Yan Xuanjin into an arched glass tunnel.
He raised his head and looked around. Above him, beside him, and at his feet, the sea was filled with shimmering water, and countless fish darted past him. Ling Yun's gaze followed the various strange and bizarre marine creatures, while Yan Xuanjin's eyes remained fixed on Ling Yun.
At this moment, Yan Xuanjin saw a particularly childlike side in Lingyun. He quietly followed him, letting Lingyun break free from his grip. He watched him follow the fish like a playful child, exploring the underwater world revealed through the glass like a curious kitten, nimbly and freely.
Yan Xuanjin couldn't help but take out his smart brain and open the camera that he almost never used to record this rare and beautiful moment.
...Maybe, I will never have the chance to see such a scene again.
After Ling Yun finished looking at the scenery in the tunnel, he remembered to look for Yan Xuanjin, whom he had not seen for a long time. Turning around, he found that he had been following behind him, holding an intelligent computer with a camera function in his hand.
"Are you taking pictures of me?" Ling Yun moved closer to Yan Xuanjin, and the happy yet slightly shy expression on her face was accurately recorded by the working equipment.
Yan Xuanjin looked at Ling Yun on the screen, and felt extremely sure of himself when he turned on the camera just now.
He nodded, turned his eyes away from the screen, and looked Lingyun in the eye. He asked, "Where else do you want to go?"
"I want to see that colorful, transparent thing that looks a bit like an umbrella and has many tentacles. Do you know where it is? I can't find it." Ling Yun came close to Yan Xuanjin, stuck close to him, and asked eagerly.
Yan Xuanjin pictured what Ling Yun had described in his mind, and after figuring out what it was, he opened a map of the aquarium in his brain, found the location of the jellyfish pavilion, and replied, "I know. Let's go."
Now it was Ling Yun who followed behind Yan Xuanjin, looking around with her head shaking, and letting him hold her hand and walk forward.
"We're here." Yan Xuanjin led him to a huge cylindrical aquarium.
Lingyun turned around and saw the colorful, transparent jellyfish dancing in the water. Their bodies were crystal clear, shining with colorful light, and their tentacles swayed gently in the transparent water, as if they were dancing silently to the music in the museum.
Lingyun watched it seriously, almost holding her breath.
Yan Xuanjin took the intelligent computer and carefully recorded the appearance of Ling Yun in his eyes.
Time slipped away minute by minute, and by the time Lingyun had finished touring the entire venue, the sunset was already hanging in the sky.
He happily boarded the aircraft, holding the clownfish keychain that Yan Xuanjin had bought for him.
Yan Xuanjin, on the other hand, walked up with the same satisfaction, carrying a full set of videos from his intelligent brain and a photo taken at the aquarium.
