Chapter 52 The Wolves Are Coming

Chapter 52 The Wolves Are Coming

Tang Dabao stood in front of the two girls, and the dagger that Fu Manduo had handed him slipped into his hand.

It could be dangerous if this were an animal's nest.

Tang Dabao spent his days wandering around the mountains with his second uncle, so he naturally knew these places.

In spring, I'm most afraid of encountering hibernating animals.

Little Su Bao nervously slipped into Fu Man Duo's hand, her little hand gripping a small twig tightly.

"Chirp chirp?" The little rabbit wearing a black scarf crawled in and was startled when it saw the group of people looking like this.

But then they saw Little Su Bao and hopped over on all fours.

With a sudden leap, she landed in Xiao Su Bao's arms.

The little dumpling instinctively hugged the little bell, then was overjoyed.

"I'm so glad you're alright! I was so scared, I thought you'd been eaten by the bad wolf..." Little Su Bao had been feeling down for a long time, but now that she saw Little Lingdang safe and sound, she immediately smiled happily.

Tang Dabao looked at his aunt and the little rabbit and a smile appeared on his face.

However, after glancing at the small hole, he decided to find something to seal it up first.

It wouldn't be good if a snake or some small insect got in.

"Auntie, Miss Fu, I'll go out and find something to plug this hole. You two don't need to come out!" he said to the two girls.

Little Su Bao nodded obediently and said in her childish voice, "Okay, Da Bao, go ahead. We'll go back and wait for you to come back!"

Fumanduo was staring at the little rabbit, unable to look away.

Roasted rabbit meat...

She was so hungry!

But looking at Xiao Su Bao's appearance, she couldn't help but sigh.

Well, it's my good friend's pet. She's a bit chubby, so I can bear with it...

The little girl patted her round belly, sighed, and moved a little further away from Little Crispy Baby and the little rabbit.

She sat pitifully on the other side of the fire, looking extremely lonely.

Little Su Bao was stroking the little bell when she looked up and saw Fu Man Duo looking at the little bell with a resentful gaze.

Seeing the little dumpling looking over, Fu Manduo quickly looked away and gave Xiao Su Bao a smile.

"I'm fine. I didn't want to eat braised rabbit, roasted rabbit, or spicy rabbit head..." Fu Manduo said unconsciously.

Little Su Bao instinctively hugged the little bell a little tighter.

She looked at her only good friend with some nervousness.

"Sister Fu, I'll give you chestnuts and all these delicious treats. Please don't eat the little bell, okay?" The little dumpling was already tiny, and holding a half-grown rabbit made her look even smaller.

Fu Manduo quickly waved her hand, and she swallowed hard.

"I won't eat it, I don't want to eat it at all!" To show her determination, she even grabbed a chestnut, bit into it, and ate it raw.

I initially thought it would taste bad, but to my surprise, it was crispy, sweet, and quite delicious.

"Little Su Bao, you're amazing! These chestnuts are so delicious, you should try some!" She picked up a chestnut and handed it to Little Su Bao.

Little Bell looked at Fumando warily, and when she saw Fumando's hand coming over, her rabbit teeth were showing.

Fu Manduo awkwardly withdrew his hand and looked at Xiao Su Bao again: "Xiao Su Bao, are you scared? Let me tell you, don't be afraid, we'll definitely be alright, I will definitely protect you!"

Fumanduo ate and talked, and then unknowingly fell asleep leaning against Xiaosubao.

Xiao Su Bao was taken aback, but still put the little bell on the ground and placed Fu Man Duo's head on her lap.

She became a little nervous when she saw that Tang Dabao had not returned yet.

Little Bell looked at Little Crispy Baby, shook her head, and then skipped and hopped away.

"Little bell!" Little Su Bao called out nervously.

Little Bell glanced back at her, then ran off again.

Xiao Su Bao sighed as she looked at Fu Man Duo, who was drooling even while sleeping on her lap.

I just hope Little Bell will be a little clever!

The little dumpling tossed some chestnuts, still in their shells, into the fire to roast.

At that moment, Tang Dabao finally found a suitable stone. He was about to go back when he saw Xiao Lingdang run out.

Knowing that his aunt liked the rabbit, he quickly put the stone inside the tree hole.

"Auntie, wait a minute, I'll bring the little bell back for you!" Tang Dabao shouted and turned to run.

Little Su Bao didn't even have a chance to refuse; she saw the stone and felt somewhat helpless.

Outside, Little Bell was running ahead, and Tang Dabao was chasing after her.

Tang Dabao chased after the little rabbit, but the little rabbit was not scared by him. Instead, it ran a bit, looked back, and only continued running after seeing him chasing after it.

Tang Dabao was amazed by what he saw and tightened his grip on the ground even more.

But as he chased after her, he saw Little Bell run into a hole.

He watched the little bell run into the cave, scratched his head, and sighed.

It was getting dark, and he had to hurry back.

Just as he turned around, something hit him on the head.

Looking down at the ground, I saw a small, yellow fruit about the size of my palm.

He didn't recognize the thing at all, but it looked quite nice. He took a bite without thinking, and then his teeth broke.

He covered his bleeding mouth, tears welling up in his eyes.

As he spoke, he was about to throw the thing away forcefully.

But I couldn't bring myself to part with it; what if it was edible?

Never mind, there's only one anyway...

As I was thinking this, I suddenly felt something being thrown out of that hole.

He was so frightened that he quickly took two steps back, and then he saw one fruit after another.

There are carrots, white radishes, and taro...

Tang Dabao's eyes lit up when he saw the taro, and he was overjoyed.

With this, Auntie and Miss Fu will no longer go hungry.

He immediately picked up all the food with delight.

Suddenly, he sensed something was wrong. Looking down, he saw two large rabbits rolling out a huge pumpkin.

Tang Dabao was stunned, and then he saw Little Bell, which crawled out from behind the two rabbits and rolled the big pumpkin over with difficulty.

The two large rabbits glanced at them and then went back.

"Are these all for us?" Tang Dabao asked, taken aback.

Little Bell skipped and hopped ahead, completely ignoring Tang Dabao.

Tang Dabao, clutching the food, quickly chased after them, feeling a bit...

I'm lost!

It was now completely dark, and he dared not linger, feeling as if there were monsters lurking around.

When Tang Dabao returned, Xiao Subao and Fu Manduo had already crawled out, holding shiny stones in their hands and waiting for him!

He quickened his pace and walked up to them.

"Why are you all out here? Come inside quickly, it's chilly on this spring night!"

He walked along, muttering to the two of them.

Xiao Su Bao breathed a sigh of relief, but instead of going back, she ran over to greet Tang Da Bao.

As soon as the little dumpling approached, its face turned deathly pale.

"It's... a wolf..." she stammered, her voice trembling with fear, her face pale.

Tang Dabao was taken aback and couldn't help but turn around to look.

Sure enough, I saw a pair of bright green eyes.

"Run!" Tang Dabao shouted at the two of them, disregarding everything else, while he himself continued to hold onto the food!

If they were wolves, they would have to run away even faster!

The wolf pack was only a hundred or two meters away from them.

Tang Dabao didn't dare to look back. He only breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Fu Manduo and Xiao Subao climb into the tree hole.

He threw all the food in at once, using up the last bit of strength he had left.

After rushing in, he quickly blocked the entrance to the cave with the rock.

Various wild fruits and other things were scattered all over the ground, and the pumpkin was even broken.

"Nephew Da Bao, you're injured!" Xiao Su Bao quickly stepped forward, staring at Tang Da Bao.

Tang Dabao glanced at his hand, shook his head, and said that this kind of injury was nothing serious.

But the little dumpling seemed a bit nervous.

"I'm fine, how are you two?" Tang Dabao shook his head, panting as he looked at the two girls.

Fu Manduo swallowed hard, his eyes, which were usually closed, now wide open.

She stammered, "Wolves, the wolf pack is coming!"

Just as he finished speaking, a violent impact came from behind Tang Dabao.

"Awoo..."
