Chapter 20 What's there?

Chapter 20 What's there?

Qian seemed completely oblivious.

Stay far away from him.

"Second brother, Mother has been ill lately. Should we have a doctor take a look at her?" Tang Si looked at Qian Shi with some concern and said to Tang Qi beside him.

"Bullshit!" Tang Yu was rarely angry, and he cursed at his little nephew.

Tang Si was taken aback and subconsciously looked at his uncle, his brows furrowing.

“Your mother isn’t sick. She’s always looked like this…” Tang Yu paused, then fell silent.

Tang Qi and Tang Si, standing to the side, looked at him with curiosity in their eyes.

Seeing the person he had been longing for made him feel a little better, so he said in a low voice, "Your mother used to be very gentle, but after your father passed away, she had to support your family, which is why she became like this!"

Little Su Bao was born with two special abilities: great strength and excellent hearing, as she is doing now!

The little dumpling nestled in Qian's arms, its tiny ears perked up and its big eyes blinking.

"You all better be filial to your mother from now on, or I'll break your legs!" Tang Yu said, then couldn't help coughing again.

Little Su Bao, who had overheard a couple of sentences, looked at Madam Qian, thought for a moment, and said in a soft, childlike voice, "Mom, I promise I'll be filial to you from now on. Please don't break my legs, okay..."

Ms. Qian was taken aback and didn't react, but when she heard the little baby say that, the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes deepened.

After stroking the baby's fluffy head, she said, "You're my little darling, how could I bear to break your legs!"

Little Su Bao felt relieved that her leg was safe and secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Her big eyes couldn't help but look ahead.

There was a house that didn't look very big.

The words "Bai Cao Tang" are written on it. Before my mother turned into a star, I was still learning from her.

However, she only knew the Hundred Family Surnames, but she happened to recognize these few characters.

The group arrived at the entrance of Baicaotang. Inside, it was quiet and peaceful. A large medicine cabinet looked dark and seemed to have been there for many years.

Behind it was a dark red medicine cabinet, with the names of various medicinal herbs clearly written on it.

Little Su Bao glanced inside curiously.

Everyone else said that the doctors at Baicaotang were no good, but Su Daguang thought the doctors at Baicaotang were quite good.

"Dr. Song, I'm here!"

Su Daguang called out and stepped inside.

Unlike Baojitang, Baicaotang here doesn't even have a threshold; you can just push your cart in.

Tang Qi pushed the cart directly inside.

"Dr. Song..."

Su Daguang called out again, but it remained quiet inside.

Ms. Qian was a little tired, so she put the little baby on the ground and rubbed her arms.

"Is anyone there? We need to see a doctor!" Mrs. Qian shouted in a loud voice.

Little Su Bao tugged at Qian Shi's clothes and secretly glanced around.

It's a bit dark, and looks somewhat scary...

The little dumpling couldn't help but grab Qian's clothes tightly.

Suddenly, she seemed to see a shadow out of the corner of her eye. The little girl was startled and immediately hugged Qian's leg tightly.

"What's wrong with you?" When Madam Qian saw the little girl's condition, she immediately picked up Xiao Su Bao.

Little Su Bao stretched out her hand and pointed in the direction of a cabinet.

She hugged Qian tightly, her voice trembling as she said, "There's something there..."

Ms. Qian's heart also tightened...

"Tang Qi, Tang Shan, Tang Si, you two come here!"

The three sons were puzzled. Su Daguang had searched the inner courtyard, but there was still no one there.

The doors were wide open, but the person was nowhere to be seen, and he couldn't help but feel anxious.

Upon hearing Qian's words, he immediately followed her.

Little Su Bao stared intently at that corner, and when Su Daguang and the others got closer, they immediately saw it clearly.

"Dr. Song, what's wrong with you!" An old man who looked to be in his fifties lay on the ground with his eyes closed, barely alive.

Forget about treating patients, they also have to save lives!

Su Daguang quickly pinched Doctor Song's philtrum, and the old man slowly woke up, his eyes still unable to focus.

As Qian was holding Xiao Su Bao, the light was already behind her, and Doctor Song's gaze was fixed on Xiao Su Bao, as if he could see a faint golden light on the little girl.

"I...I..." Doctor Song took a long time to catch his breath before finally letting out a breath.

"Please have some water first!" Tang Qi handed the water they had brought to Doctor Song.

Doctor Song didn't stand on ceremony; he was genuinely thirsty.

After taking a sip of water, he recovered and looked at the group of people with gratitude.

"Thank you so much. If you hadn't come, I'm afraid I wouldn't be alive today!" Doctor Song said after resting for a while.

Madam Qian held the baby and sat on a stool to the side. The baby secretly glanced at Doctor Song, then quickly looked away.

"What's wrong with you, sir? Can you still see a doctor?" Mrs. Qian asked in confusion.

"See a doctor?" Doctor Song was taken aback, but then he understood.

These people were probably patients that Su Daguang had brought to him. He leaned back and sat for a while, feeling much more comfortable.

He then allowed Tang Qi and Su Daguang to help him up, and he pinched a piece of ginseng and put it in his mouth.

He chewed twice and swallowed.

The bitter taste also made him a little more awake.

"Yes!" He looked at Tang Yu lying on the cart and took his pulse.

"This is because your body is too weak, due to years of hard work, and your qi and blood are deficient. If you don't take good care of yourself, I'm afraid there will be serious problems," Doctor Song said gently.

He wanted to write a prescription, but when he picked up the pen, his hand trembled so badly that he couldn't write a single word.

It landed on the paper and turned into a mess.

"You tell me, and I'll write it for you!" Tang Si said to the old man.

Little Su Bao looked over and saw Tang Si pick up a pen, roll up his sleeves, and look at Doctor Song.

Doctor Song nodded and said, "Ginseng, Atractylodes macrocephala, Angelica sinensis, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Rehmannia glutinosa, Licorice..."

Little Su Bao stared wide-eyed at Tang Si writing, because she couldn't write.

Although she recognized some of the characters, she couldn't write them. Seeing her fourth brother holding the brush and writing such beautiful characters, she immediately felt envious.

"It's done!" Tang Si picked up the paper and blew on it.

"Your handwriting is very good! I have some medicine here. Can you get it for me?" Doctor Song said to Tang Si.

Tang Si looked at Madam Qian, frowned, and hesitated.

"Mother..." He glanced at Su Daguang again, then said somewhat embarrassedly to Madam Qian, "Mother, I don't have enough copper coins here..."

“I have some here, you don’t need to worry!” Qian said, holding Xiao Su Bao.

Tang Si nodded immediately. The old man was in poor health and was helping them treat Tang Yu's illness. Tang Si helping to get the medicine was nothing special.
