At night, in the queen's bedroom.

The Queen's Palace is located on the south side of the main building of the Stormwind Fortress's living area. It includes seven rooms: the Queen's bedroom, the bathhouse, the Queen's waiting room, the ladies' retreat room, the Queen's guard room, etc. Among them, the Queen's bedroom is where Claudia usually rests.

Although Varian didn't like luxury, he didn't save money on decorating Claudia's bedroom. The room was full of signs of careful decoration. The floor was covered with gorgeously woven carpets, the ceiling was decorated with carved bas-reliefs and oil paintings, and the walls were dark red velvet trimmed with gold and silver threads. The only exception was the wall above the bed - there hung a special painting, depicting the scene of Claudia happily snuggling in Varian's arms when she was pregnant.

Jaina turned her eyes away from the painting, sighed, and continued to read the arcane tome she had borrowed from Merry Winterwind, until the door was pushed open and Claudia, who had just finished a shower and her hair was still slightly wet, walked in.

"Did you cry just now?" As soon as the words came out of her mouth, Jaina felt a little regretful. Her question was really too direct.

Claudia was slightly startled, but she quickly dropped her mask and said weakly and tiredly, "How did you tell? I clearly washed my face with cold water."

"The swelling and bloodshot eyes can be reduced with cold water, but the moisture in the eyes can't be changed." After a brief explanation, Jaina sincerely advised, "Claudia, I know you're sad, but think about happy things, like your children. I remember you spent time with them before you went to the bath."

"Children?" Claudia sighed, tears welling up again. "You know, when I was with the kids tonight, Angela asked me when their dad would be home, and I didn't know what to say..."

Jaina felt even more upset. She gently stroked Claudia's back and comforted her, "Relax, Claudia. I understand how you feel, but Varian is still alive after all. We will definitely find him back."

"You're right, thank you, Jaina."

Jaina's words had a very good effect. She reminded Claudia that the experience of her companion was much worse than her own, and she had no right to complain about many things in front of Jaina. After all, compared with Arthas, Varian was still alive, and she and Varian had three children before.

While the two were chatting that night, Claudia tentatively asked her female companion, "Jaina, I heard that King Daelin is very anxious about your marriage. What do you think? Prince Liam, Prince Galen, or... Prince Kael'thas?"

"Well..." Jaina forced a smile and made an excuse: "I am an archmage. I can use arcane spells to extend my life. Even if I am twenty-seven years old, I am still young."

really.

Claudia sighed inwardly.

Jaina was obviously making excuses to lie. She had specifically asked Aegwynn about the life-extending magic during this period. It was not ordinary arcane magic that could prolong life. No matter how much arcane magic there was, it could not have such a miraculous effect. Only arcane fire could bring about a qualitative change and achieve this.

Just as the Silver Fire is the manifestation of the power of Order in the mortal world, the Arcane Fire is the manifestation of the power of Arcane in the mortal world. It is simply not something that mortals can condense. Even Aegwynn could not do it after losing the Sigil of Tirisfal, let alone Jaina.

"Jaina."

"Um?"

"Come explore the ruins with me sometime. There might be something inside that can truly extend your lifespan."

"Thank you, and sorry."

Jaina agreed. Besides, she also realized that her excuse had been exposed. She smiled bitterly and expressed her true thoughts:

"The truth is, I've never forgotten Arthas. He was so righteous and had a bright future. Every day I wonder what I can do or say in Stratholme to stop him from going down the dark path."

“Holy Light.” Claudia hugged Jaina and encouraged her: “This is not your fault, Jaina…”

That night, the two women who shared the same suffering talked to each other, comforted each other, and encouraged each other. Claudia finally slept a little longer that night.

Oh no, oh no, why is it so late?

The next morning, when Claudia opened her eyes, this was her first thought.

She carefully let go of Jaina, put on her clothes, and tiptoed out to the training ground to urge Anduin to practice martial arts.

In fact, this kind of work can be handed over to other royal knights. Anduin's current level is not yet at the point where he needs the guidance of a warrior of Claudia's level, but Claudia still insists on doing it herself. After all, Anduin needs her care more - his biological parents are unable to be with him now.

Fortunately, Claudia was very pleased with Anduin's recent performance.

Anduin seemed to have come to his senses. He had been extremely hardworking in recent training, and his martial arts skills had improved by leaps and bounds. He had already surpassed the martial arts progress of his peers, and was even approaching the level of Claudia when she was the same age. It seemed that he would become a heroic warrior again when he grew up.

However, Anduin did not seem to be content with being a warrior. He clearly told Claudia that he wanted to be a paladin, and often went to Archbishop Faol during his free time to ask the Archbishop about the true meaning of the Holy Light. Although this went against Varian's expectations, Claudia still chose to respect Anduin's life choice.
