A moment later, among the three demon lieutenants of the Scourge, Azgalor was leading the demon army to advance while chasing the Alliance army. Although Anetheron was a little behind Azgalor, he was also commanding some undead to assist him. And Kaz'roga was leading some high-level demons in the original human camp to wait for Archimonde's arrival.
As Arthas was walking along Anetheron in boredom, the Lich King's voice rang out in his mind:
"Let's do it."
"Now?"
"Well, we have already caused enough damage to humanity. Our top priority now is to ensure the defeat of the Burning Legion."
Arthas still had many doubts in his mind, but he did not continue to ask. His face still had a lazy expression, but he moved closer to Anetheron and said in a flattering tone: "Lord Anetheron?"
"If you have something to say, let's talk later." Anetheron was busy commanding several ice dragons and other undead siege alliances on the front line, so he had no time to get close to Arthas.
"Frostmourne is hungry!" The expression on Arthas's face turned into a sneer in an instant, and the sword in his hand drew a perfect arc, slashing towards Anetheron's neck with a shrill sound of breaking through the air.
"What are you doing...!" Anaselon was caught off guard and tried to raise his hand to defend himself, but Arthas chopped his hand and half of his body into two by a full-strength sword blow.
Sensing the newly added souls in Frostmourne, Arthas quickly drew poignant runes with his left hand and replied with a sinister grin:
"As for the questions you didn't ask, we can discuss them slowly in the future. I will never forget your kindness during this period!"
Archimonde, who was giving instructions to Kaz'roga in the human camp, was suddenly shocked. His expression was no longer indifferent. He shouted angrily: "Ner'zhul, you are looking for death!"
The next moment, Archimonde raised his hand in anger and pointed with all his strength at the place hundreds of meters away. A blood-red lightning with the momentum of destroying the world pierced Arthas, but the runes in Arthas's hand had been drawn, and a black portal with the breath of death appeared. Arthas hurriedly stepped into the portal, and the blood-red lightning lost its target and hit the location of the portal, and collapsed nearly half of the hillside where the road was.
"Hmm, what a terrifying aura! But I'm sure you, Archimonde, won't let go of the World Tree that's so close to you. Otherwise, how are you going to explain to Sargeras?"
In Northrend, atop the Ten Thousand Years Glacier, a skeletal figure observed this scene with interest. Then, his gaze shifted to other locations on Mount Hyjal, his thoughts continuing to flow:
"Now, what price will the coalition pay to defend that tree? And Archimonde, can you help me eliminate the resistance in this world? And finally, King of Humanity, what will you do when faced with my gift? I'm really looking forward to all of this."
The Lich King had regained control of the Scourge. The Scourge had suffered heavy losses in the previous battle, with fewer than 2,000 remaining from nearly 6,000 elite troops. However, the number of necromancers killed was low, which pleased the Lich King immensely. These valuable mages were far more difficult to train than other types of troops. As for the question of loyalty? When had the necromancers ever dared to disobey his orders?
Orders were issued to the undead units in Mount Hyjal. Most of the organized undead battalions did not launch a surprise attack on the Burning Legion, but remained alert and retreated, trying to leave the battlefield. The Lich King wanted both the Burning Legion and the coalition to suffer heavy losses, rather than a one-sided victory for either side.
In the human camp, Kazroga was furious after realizing what had happened. With a flash of a spell, several shadow arrows hit many retreating undead. But then he heard the demon king beside him coldly say, "Ignore them, idiots!"
Kaz'roga didn't dare disobey and stopped what he was doing. Archimonde's face had regained its composure. He glanced deeply to the north, his arms still trembling slightly as he spoke, "If we can't absorb the World Tree, we won't be able to deal with the traitor anytime soon. But as long as we absorb the World Tree, we can do whatever we want to Ner'zhul! I promise to torture his soul!"
"Sir, please allow me to join in when the time comes." Kazloga said hatefully. He hated traitors far more than his enemies.
A fierce look flashed across Archimonde's face as he spoke resolutely, "No matter how things turn out, we must fight now. Follow me to kill the human king! If we can crush the human army, victory will still be ours!"
"As you command, my lord!" Kaz'roga flapped his wings and flew up quickly, while Archimonde stepped forward. Each of his steps could cover a distance of dozens of meters, but the earth seemed to shrink in front of him. After just a few steps, he appeared where Anetheron was before. He glanced at the dismembered body of the Dreadlord out of the corner of his eye, and continued to move forward quickly without changing his expression.
Bang!
Claudia waved her Silver Hands with both hands and killed a demon guard with a hammer, then jumped to the side of Duke Grayson. A burst of extremely strong golden holy light quickly emanated from her body. While healing the injured knights nearby, the blazing holy light also burned several ghouls that tried to approach. The tips of the young knight's hair were soaked with sweat, but she didn't care to rest. She threw two more shields on Varian and Duke Grayson. In the fierce battle after the break, as a high-level paladin, in addition to healing, she would also constantly fill in the melee position to block the enemy's attacks, so her physical strength was consumed quickly.
"Watch your flesh burn, bugs!"
Azgalor had already caught up with the retreating army, and swung his two-handed sword heavily at the coalition forces. A green rain of fel flames fell from the sky, covering a large area of the retreating Alliance troops.
