Chapter 44

Chapter 44

"Aaaaaah!!!"

Screams erupted from inside the starship as people scrambled for cover or assumed defensive postures. However, as they did so, they instinctively glanced at the Aztecs in the hall. In such a dangerous moment, seeking the reaction of the strongest among them was almost an instinct for every race. But when they saw the Aztecs' reaction, they were all stunned.

Because the Ghibli's reaction was simply no reaction; they remained as cold and indifferent as ever, not even changing their posture as the Ghibli prepared to flee.

And it wasn't just the Zhi Clan; even Chen Xi, sitting on that magnificent chair, didn't seem too nervous. In fact, her eyes, looking at the transparent wall, were filled with sparkling excitement—the royal heirs…

Even the slowest person can sense something is wrong now.

Sure enough, Chenxi quickly explained to them, "That's a Ma beast, and it's also one of the attractions we're visiting this time."

Ma Beast... Visiting scenic spots.

Well, they finally understood why Chenxi had kept emphasizing how exciting it was. It was indeed exciting enough. Just then, the Ma Beast outside suddenly crashed into the starship again, making everyone shudder in fright.

Because the beast's attack outside was so sudden, Chen Xi was startled. Jin Yi looked down at Chen Xi's expression and said gently, "If you're scared, lean on me."

Chen Xi did not refuse Jin Yi's kindness and moved a little closer to Jin Yi, her fingers gripping Jin Yi's robe tightly. If she were suddenly startled, she would definitely bury her face in Jin Yi's arms immediately.

As the starship ventured deeper into the asteroid belt, the number of enormous, tooth-covered monster fish increased dramatically. These fish were extremely ferocious, attacking the starship one after another upon its discovery. For a time, the starscape wall was filled with nothing but sharp teeth, and the sounds of these monsters crashing into the starship and biting into it were enough to send chills down one's spine.

One of the royal heirs turned pale, his heart pounding and his breath catching in his throat. He finally couldn't help but ask, "Is this really not going to cause any problems?"

Sensing the growing panic within the starship, Binlan finally turned his gaze away from Chenxi for a moment and calmly explained, "The hardness of our starship is 13, while the hardness of the Ma Beast's teeth is 7. You don't need to be nervous."

Although the royal heirs didn't fully understand, they roughly grasped the meaning: the strange fish outside couldn't bite through the starship's teeth. They breathed a sigh of relief. However, the atmosphere inside the starship was still far from relaxed. The royal heirs, who had never been exposed to horror movies before, were completely overwhelmed by this live horror film right from the start.

Whether it was the ferocious, fanged maws outside the Starscape Wall that kept lunging at them, ready to devour them all in one bite, or the crunching sound of teeth biting into the hull of the starship and the vibrations from the collisions, their nerves were constantly on edge. A few people, like Ga'ai, managed to remain composed, though their expressions were a little unpleasant; they were the ones with the strongest self-control.

Some of the royal heirs were already trembling at the slightest attack from the beasts outside. It was easy to imagine that today's journey would leave them with a shadow that they would never forget.

The Ear-Fox Clan's Crown Prince was also quite frightened. His handsome and adorable face was pale with fright, and the fur on his fluffy tail stood on end. In this situation, he subconsciously wanted to find someone to lean on. However, as he tried to go to Chen Xi, Jin Yi, who was standing beside Chen Xi and half-encircling her in his arms, seemed to sense something and glanced over with his cold gaze. In that instant, a feeling ten times more dangerous than the Ma Beasts outside instantly struck him. The Ear-Fox Clan's Crown Prince froze for a moment, and then slowly, slowly shrank back.

The starship fleet traversed the asteroid belt, heading wherever the Ma beasts were most numerous, drawing constant attacks from the ferocious beasts. Even the massive starships shook violently, like small boats teetering on the brink of a storm. Screams frequently erupted from within the starships, but one scream stood out the loudest and most powerfully, yet it was completely different from the others. This scream, brimming with excitement, was as conspicuous as a radiant orb of light.

Even under these circumstances, the royal heirs couldn't help but look over frequently. They saw Chen Xi staring intently at the direction of the giant beasts, occasionally startled by the sharp teeth that suddenly pounced on him. He would then bury his head in the arms of the blond intelligent being next to him, and after less than two seconds, he would raise his head again, his eyes shining as he looked at the transparent wall with excitement.

Upon realizing that Chen Xi was genuinely enjoying this feeling, the royal heirs felt a complex mix of emotions, which could be summarized in one sentence: Humans are indeed a ruthless race.

The starship fleet traversed the asteroid belt for almost half a day. Only after Chenxi had thoroughly enjoyed herself did they leave the asteroid belt. By this time, all the royal heirs were nearly exhausted, but the good thing was that they were also numb and would no longer scream as easily as they had at the beginning.

At this moment, among the luxurious starship, besides the Intelligence Clan whose expression remained unchanged, the one in the best mental state was Chen Xi. His eyes were bright and piercing, and his cheeks were flushed with health, showing that he was completely excited.

Jin Yi raised her hand and gently wiped Chen Xi's forehead, asking him, "Was it fun?"

"Fun!"

"Shall we continue later?"

"Thump!" One of the royal heirs, unable to bear the shock, slid off his seat.

"Haha, no, let's come back another time." Hearing the sound of someone in the starship being scared out of their wits, Chen Xi finally had a change of heart.

"Okay." Jin Yi looked at Chen Xi and chuckled.

After leaving the asteroid belt, the royal heirs, having completed their mission of providing entertainment, returned to their original starships, which then continued their journey to their next destination.

In the days that followed, the starship fleet took Chenxi to visit the carefully selected attractions one by one, following the planned route. The only difference was that the royal heirs who were responsible for accompanying them could not help but turn green whenever they heard about a new attraction. Fortunately, there were not many attractions as thrilling as the Ma Beast, and most of them were places with beautiful scenery, which made their fragile nerves feel a little better.

While the royal heirs were diligently fulfilling their duty of accompanying Chen Xi on his tour of the outer universe, the various races of the Star Beast Domain finally discovered a fact that nearly drove them mad: the Intelligent Race had given the Earled Fox Race several habitable planets!
