Chapter 1

Chapter 1

He Xile heard a loud noise in his daze.

"Please queue up in an orderly manner and avoid crowding."

"What is now presented before us is a very precious, well-preserved human body from the Blue Planet. It is also the only human specimen so far."

"This human, named Lanlan, is a male. Experts say he was probably underage when he lost consciousness and his body was frozen. Ten years ago, he was stumbled upon by scavengers from an old planet and sold to space pirates. He passed through many hands, but fortunately, everyone recognized his value and prevented any damage. Finally, Lanlan was anonymously purchased by our Majesty on the black market for a high price and donated to the Imperial Center Museum for exhibition."

"Come here, everyone can clearly see that this human is different from us. He has delicate features, very delicate skin, no other body features, and is only two-thirds our height—Hey, Hank, stop hitting the display case with your claws, don't you know your own weight?"

"Wow, he's so good looking."

"I wonder what this human feels like..."

Voices filled the air from all directions, but He Xile couldn't understand a single word. The sounds passed through his brain, unable to be properly analyzed and translated. He could only hear a strange, indistinct noise.

The dull sound of "dong dong dong" was like an earthquake, but soon it stopped abruptly with a sharp sound that could break through the air.

In front of the display cabinet.

The student previously called Hank snorted in dissatisfaction. He was nearly three meters tall and relatively stocky, but on top of his head were two small, curled-up ears like a hippopotamus, giving him an oddly cute look.

He waved his arm slowly. "Teacher, isn't the display cabinet made of the latest synthetic alpha metal? I'm sure it won't break with the noise I make."

The teacher who was called out looked helpless: "That also requires more attention..."

A tall, thin man with a long neck snorted softly, clearly displeased with Hank. He crossed his arms and said, "Some creatures are genetically programmed to be noisy, and you can't change that in your lifetime. Aren't you afraid that this human will be woken by your noise and eat you? I've read the literature on this matter; the humans on the Blue Planet are willing to eat anything."

Hank said disdainfully, "He's been asleep for hundreds or thousands of years. How can he wake up? Your childish tricks won't work on me. How about it? Want to go over to the side and test my bite strength?"

……It's noisy.

It's so noisy around here.

He Xile really wanted to open his eyes to see what was going on around him, where he was, and why there were so many strange noises, but his eyelids were heavy and his whole body felt like it was sleep paralyzed, and he couldn't move at all.

As the noise around him grew louder, He Xile finally regained some strength.

His long, thick eyelashes like crow feathers trembled, and his eyelids finally obeyed the command of his brain and slowly opened.

The beautiful pupils, like glass, dilated and contracted slightly.

The surrounding environment was dim.

The reflection coming from nowhere made He Xile realize in an instant that he was in a transparent glass container, and around the container was a group of humans who were at least two meters tall.

The noisy noises disappeared in an instant.

The humans in front of him seemed to have been paused, all frozen in place, their eyes wide open and their mouths slightly open.

They are so tall...

Is it the magnifying effect of the mirror?

This was the first thought that came to He Xile’s mind.

No, they seem to be different from normal humans.

This was the second thought that came to He Xile’s mind.

He couldn't quite believe his eyes, and because he was so weak, he could only move slightly. So he didn't move his body, but only slowly scanned the surrounding...strange humans with his eyes.

They are said to be human beings, but they have some things that are clearly not human.

For example, the person who was closer had two ears on each side, and a pair of slightly curled ears on top of his head, no bigger than a palm. At this moment, the small ears were still shaking rapidly, as fast as a small electric motor;

The person standing next to him had an arm made entirely of metal. It was so large that it could almost hold a seven or eight-year-old child. It looked very uncoordinated, and it was unclear how he was able to stand upright.

As for the one who was farther away, his body was still in the same place, but his slender neck stretched out from between the people. His ears were not ears, but two transparent small wings, as thin as cicada wings.

...Am I dreaming?

He Xile's eyes were confused.

He subconsciously raised one arm with great effort and touched the transparent glass cover in front of him.

Sudden.

The person in front of him, who looked like a human but had a pair of strange little ears on his head, burped loudly, and in the blink of an eye, he turned into a strange creature covered with hair.

W-what——

This person has transformed!? He has turned into a strange creature that He Xile has never seen before!

He Xile: "Ah——"

Surrounding the exhibition stand, a group of strange-looking creatures, whose species were unclear, all stared with wide eyes: "Ah——"

“Ahhhh—”

He Xile: “…”

Before, these creatures were talking in a jumbled manner, and He Xile could not understand a word. He only felt that their conversation was like some tangled balls of thread, but the screams were clear and distinct.

It seems like everyone makes the same sound when they're scared.

It's like a starting signal.

For a moment, the whole scene became chaotic!

The strange creature that was the first to deform in front of him had opened its mouth wide, revealing its sparse but very sharp teeth. It made a strange sound like "wa wow" and fled frantically to the side.

Countless creatures that were originally similar to humans have been deformed. The shortest of them seem to be two or three meters tall and have huge bodies. Birds flap their wings and use the force to soar into the air. Even if they occasionally crash, at most only a few feathers will fall on the spot. As for the creatures on land, they are not so lucky. A group of creatures are stepping on each other and running towards the direction of the light source.

He Xile was also shocked when he saw this change and immediately retracted his arm.

He looked at everything around him in panic.

...What's going on?

What the hell are they!??

And isn’t it me who should be most afraid?!?

Why do they look like they have seen a ghost?

museum.

A group of people gathered in front of the monitoring room.

"Director, the students have been evacuated. Axe and the others are counting the casualties. The circumstances were unique and the stampede was severe, but everyone has been sent to the hospital."

"Well, we must appease the masses."

"yes."

"Oh my god, he crawled out of the display case! He's walking! Ahhhh, this is so amazing! Even now I can't believe my eyes..."

"This is a miracle for the entire empire and even the entire universe."

Corner of the monitoring room.

A smartly dressed woman frowned.

She glanced at the surveillance footage. "Why wasn't the sensor equipment deployed ahead of time? What if this precious human flame awakened after the museum closed, not on this weekday afternoon? The air inside the display case wouldn't be enough to sustain it alive and see the museum's curators! I even wonder if the flames of other species have also lost the chance to rekindle in this way!"

Another person scoffed, "Have you ever seen a dead person suddenly come back to life? This is something that defies common sense!"

There was a peacemaker: "Come on, stop arguing. What's the point of pursuing blame now? We should be thinking about solutions."

"that……"

One person weakly raised his hand. After attracting everyone's attention, he said softly, "I'd like to remind everyone here that we don't own this human named Lanlan."

Everyone: “…”

Everyone was silent, and a figure appeared in their minds at the same time. Most people's faces turned pale, and some of the timid ones even shuddered on the spot.

"Let me make it clear first that I will not negotiate with Your Majesty!" The little ears on the head of the person who spoke stood up alertly.

"Me too."

"If you let me go to His Majesty, I will resign tomorrow."

Even the capable woman just now said coldly: "If you choose me, I don't have to wait until tomorrow, I will resign now."

curator:"……"

He Xile was so exhausted that he climbed out of the coffin-like cabinet with some difficulty. He was breathing slightly and standing in the deserted place.

Looking around, He Xile was in a relatively spacious place.

The ground was in a mess at this time, and the remains of the chaos could be seen everywhere - bird feathers, tail feathers, hair, and even a broken tail with blood.

Around He Xile, there are many large and small pillars for display. There is a transparent glass cover on the pillar. A beam of light shines down from the cover. Inside are all kinds of strange and colorful things, all covered by the beam of light, and countless small details can be seen clearly.

Next to the pillar, there is usually a transparent light screen.

On the light screen was a series of cryptic symbols that He Xile couldn't understand.

He Xile was a little confused.

...This place looks like a museum? Are all the things around here collections?

Did he travel through time?

A museum that travels to a non-human world?

He Xile couldn't help but pinch his thigh.

hiss--

It hurts so much.

He Xile was in so much pain that he almost cried.

Turning around again, He Xile saw the cabinet he had just climbed out of, and then looked at the same light screen next to the cabinet. He was speechless for a moment.

He was dressed like an exhibit! ? ?
