Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Testing completed.

The instrument turned on automatically, and the restraints on He Xile disappeared.

He supported himself with his arms and slowly sat up from the instrument. A tall doctor walked over quickly, and with a few long strides, he reached the instrument, picked up He Xile, and gently placed him on the ground.

This series of actions takes less than a few seconds to complete.

He Xile was still a little dizzy and didn't react at all. When he came to his senses, his feet were already firmly on the ground.

The doctor squatted down and asked, "Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"

He Xile: “…No.”

His face flushed red as he stammered, "Thank you, thank you." He added softly, "Actually, I can come down by myself."

The non-humans in this world were incredibly tall, and everything around them was made to their exact specifications, making it difficult for He Xile to use them. For example, just now, when He Xile was lying on the medical platform, it only took up a third of the space, making him look even smaller. The platform was indeed a bit high off the ground, but He Xile didn't think he'd need someone to carry him down.

The doctor paused when he heard this.

He raised a smile and said gently, "It's okay, don't be polite to me, I'm happy to serve you."

Captain Xing watched the scene with sharp eyes. He turned his head and whispered to his men, "Go print the data."

Subordinate: "Yes."

After the others left, Captain Xing stepped forward and said, "Excuse me, Doctor Liang." He then said to He Xile, "Next, we need to go to the Information Management Office to enter your basic information and apply for your legal citizenship."

He Xile heard this and his eyes curved: "Okay."

Since the information has been entered to make him a legal citizen of this world, it means that the result is not as bad as He Xile thought, and he may not have to stay in the laboratory.

Really good!

"I'll take you out," said the doctor.

"No, let me support him."

Captain Xing stretched out his strong arms again.

He met the doctor's gaze, a hint of wariness in his gaze.

Doctor Liang realized something, and the two ears on top of his head slowly leaned back. He stood up and shrugged helplessly: "Okay then. It seems that being the captain of the guard team does have some privileges."

"Doctor Liang is joking. It's just my job."

He Xile did not pay attention to the tit-for-tat between the two non-humans.

It seemed that because he had rested for a while during the physical examination, He Xile felt that his body was much stronger than before.

He politely declined Captain Xing's arm and walked out slowly.

I don’t know if it was He Xile’s illusion, but since the test was completed, the people around him have become much less wary of him, and there is a hint of pity in their eyes when they look at him.

Even the guards who were fully armed before have now mostly withdrawn, with only a small number left to maintain order. This is probably to prevent too many citizens from hearing that there are "humans" in this hospital and coming to watch.

"Captain, this is the report."

The guards stood in front of Captain Xing, saluted, and presented the report with both hands.

Captain Xing took it.

Um?

The test results came out so quickly?

He Xile was curious and wanted to know what was written on it, but Captain Xing was quite tall, and with the list in his hand, He Xile couldn't see it at all. He couldn't help but stand on tiptoe, but the awkward thing was that even on tiptoe, He Xile could only see the back of the report.

He is clearly 1.78 meters tall, which is considered an acceptable height for a man on Earth. How come he becomes a dwarf here?

Damn it!

He Xile felt depressed.

Captain Xing, who was holding the report, had actually noticed the condition of the little human beside him a long time ago.

He couldn't help but curl up the corners of his mouth and flicked the tip of his tail.

He Xile is the owner of this report, and even though he has a special identity, he has the right to know.

Logically speaking, after Captain Xing realized He Xile's intention, he should have immediately handed the report to the other party and cooperated with the human to provide explanations. However, He Xile's tiptoeing action and the frustrated expression when he found that he still could not see the contents of the report after tiptoeing greatly pleased Captain Xing, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of evil taste.

He pretended not to notice, his eyes glued to the report, but he couldn't actually read a single word. His whole being was on humans.

What will this human do next?

"……team leader."

He Xile couldn't help but shout, but Captain Xing seemed so engrossed that he didn't hear. He Xile had no choice but to reach out and gently shake the corner of Captain Xing's clothes, "Can I see this report?"

"Oh, of course."

Captain Xing appeared calm on the surface, but in reality, his tail was spinning like a top.

Woo woo woo.

Humans are so cute—

The force used to pull the corner of the clothes was so light! And who can resist the coquettishness of a human?

No one!

No one!!!

He handed over the report with a kind look on his face.

He Xile couldn't wait to raise his hand and take the report which was slightly larger than an A4 paper.

A transparent light screen automatically appeared on the instrument on the wrist, showing the translated content on the report.

The report clearly stated that he was from the Blue Planet.

He Xile was stunned.

Blue Planet, isn’t this another name for the Earth?

He Xile couldn't help but look up, pointed at the column for the blue planet, and looked at Captain Xing: "What is this?"

"Hmm? What's wrong?"

Captain Xing explained, "Just twelve years ago, we discovered this azure planet in the Milky Way. Apparently, it had experienced a massive catastrophe, essentially wiping out humanity, flora, and fauna, leaving it a dead planet. We've unearthed some relics that contain descriptions of that planet. I remember considering names like 'Earth' and 'Blue Planet,' but everyone agreed that 'Blue Planet' sounded the best, so that's the name we settled on to describe your planet."

He Xile widened his eyes in surprise.

Could it be that the world he traveled through wasn't an imaginary one!?

Captain Xing frowned: "Isn't this the name of the planet where you humans live?"

"...It is indeed the name of our planet, but we prefer to call it Earth."

&

"Name?"

"He Xile."

"age."

"Nineteen."

He Xile stated his age when he died.

As the staff member was entering the information, he muttered, "I told him he wasn't an adult!"

"He looks so small and tender, how could he possibly be an adult?"

"That's right."

"But humans are truly amazing. Children who haven't reached adulthood can actually look exactly like adults..."

"That's understandable, since they don't have a secondary characteristic."

The staff member who registered He Xile's basic information was a woman with rabbit ears. There were four or five idle non-humans around her, all looking at He Xile with great interest.

——This is the only human being in the world!

In the past, if you wanted to see this human being, you had to pay for the museum ticket and take a peek inside from afar through the display case. Now, not only can you see it for free, but it's alive!

The kind that can breathe and talk!

How strange!

He Xile couldn't help but say, "Actually, on our Earth, I mean the Blue Planet, you're already an adult at the age of eighteen." Although he didn't even finish high school in order to get treatment for his illness, no one would regard him as an adult but just a child if he talked about his academic qualifications, but... but he was already nineteen years old.

If he had the chance to do it all over again, He Xile would also like to be an adult.

Everyone: “!!!”

What?

Already an adult???

But this human named He Xile looks so small!!!

The staff member couldn't help but explain, "The average lifespan on our planet is around 500 years. A person's lifespan is longer, and it takes time to establish three perspectives. Most people don't settle down, so they're not considered adults until they're over 30. And as you can see, we all have secondary characteristics."

As she spoke, she touched her long ears and laughed, "Before reaching adulthood, children survive with secondary characteristics. Only after the coming-of-age ceremony do they become what they are now. It's very different from your planet."

Captain Xing found a picture nearby and showed it to He Xile: "This is a cub of my tribe."

In the picture, a group of little balls that look like wolf cubs are sleeping in a group with their legs spread out. They are covered with fur and have a pair of fleshy little wings on their backs. They are round and very cute.

He Xile: "Wow."

It turns out that all the babies in this world are cute and furry, and only when they grow up do they become similar to humans? ! !

Oh my god! What a wonderful world!?

Everyone asked questions, answered questions and chatted at the same time.

He Xile thus learned a lot of magical knowledge about this planet.

Time flies.

After typing the last line of information, the staff member smiled and said, "Mr. He Xile, the questions have concluded. Your identity information has been successfully entered into the terminal. However, due to your unique identity, some questions remain unanswered. If necessary, we may contact you later for additional information. I hope you can cooperate."

He Xile nodded obediently: "I will."

"By the way, the device you're wearing on your wrist right now is a temporary terminal and isn't linked to an account. Your personal terminal will be manufactured in a week and sent directly to your guardian. Please check it."

Um?

guardian?

Does he still have this thing?

He Xile had never heard anyone mention this before. He blinked and asked in confusion, "Who is my guardian?"

For a moment, everyone fell silent.

Everyone in the hall looked at each other.

"So this human doesn't know yet?"

"...You go and tell them."

"No, no, no, you go." The staff member smiled bitterly.

After spending an afternoon together, everyone had only one thought about the human in front of them.

——He is so well behaved.

Humans are so cute!

However, now they have to tell humans such a cruel thing, and they feel a little bit reluctant.

He Xile looked at the people pushing and shoving each other, feeling confused.

What's going on?

Finally, Captain Xing came to He Xile's side and said in a deep voice, "It's like this. After being discovered by scavengers, you were sold to several pirate organizations. Finally, His Majesty auctioned you off on the black market. Therefore, your guardian now is our Majesty."

He looked at the ignorant He Xile and knew that this poor human didn't know what kind of creature His Majesty was.

Captain Xing sighed lightly.

"Okay, let's go and meet your guardian now."

After determining that He Xile had no aggressive tendencies, the guard team needed to complete the handover as quickly as possible, and the museum staff would deliver this human to his guardian.

Before leaving, he secretly handed the contact information of his personal terminal to He Xile and whispered, "If you need anything, you can contact me through this number."

&

Inside the magnificent palace complex.

A tall man sat on a high throne.

He sat with his left leg curled up, his arm resting on his knee, his posture frivolous. A thick, inky black cloak covered half of his body, but it couldn't hide the winding black lines that resembled a curse.

The lines extended from under the collar, covering half of the man's face like fangs and claws, but still did not detract from his handsome features.

His eyes were as bright as flames, his long eyelashes drooped slightly as he lazily glanced at the nobles and ministers who were kneeling on the ground below, their bodies trembling slightly, but not daring to breathe.

"No one is willing to confess. Who leaked the news?"

A deep voice echoed in the empty building, accompanied by a chuckle, "Then we'll randomly select a few lucky people to be buried with you."

"Your Majesty—" a hoarse voice sounded.

The next second, several nobles fell.

The blood spread to the other survivors.

Everyone's face turned pale.

The old man who had just spoken was about to stand up, but upon seeing this, he slumped back to his original position, tears streaming down his face. "How could this be possible? How could they kill innocent people like this without finding out the truth?"

Upon hearing this, the superior only laughed mockingly.

“…”

Three hours later.

"Your Majesty, all those who leaked the information have been eliminated."

"Clean this place up as soon as possible."

The man on the throne slowly stood up, his gaze coldly looking down at the blood-stained ground below. He frowned slightly, "I hate the smell of this disgusting odor."

“…Yes, Your Majesty.”

As soon as I walked out the door, someone else came forward.

The man said respectfully, "Your Majesty, someone from the Imperial Center Museum has arrived and is waiting in the reception room. They say they have something important to tell you."

"Yes. Lead the way."

When they arrived at the location, they did not see any museum staff. They only saw a large, tightly packed package and a very old-looking robot in the reception room.

The robot scanned the visitor and knelt before His Majesty somewhat sluggishly.

"Your Majesty, good day. The human you donated to the museum ten years ago has miraculously regained his heartbeat and awoke at 2:32 this afternoon."

The robot said in a cold voice, "According to the law, Wen Ji and Your Majesty, you are now his guardian."
