A strange child.
This was Kudo Shinichi's first impression of Asuka Kiri.
He was originally walking home with his childhood sweetheart, Mouri Ran. Suzuki Sonoko did not join them because she had to attend a dinner party in the evening. Mouri Ran was worried about the stray cat that had not appeared in front of the school gate recently, and insisted on dragging him to find it.
In the end, they found that the cat was adopted by an old lady who ran a grocery store near the school.
After the two said goodbye to the old lady, it was already dark. Obviously, the grocery store was closer to Kudo Shinichi's family, but he still changed his route without saying a word and walked towards the direction of Mouri Detective Office.
Who made that guy afraid of the dark? It's so troublesome.
It was not until they were halfway through the journey that the girl realized something was wrong. She stood there, looked left and right several times, and said nervously
, "Shinichi, have you taken the wrong road? This is not..." "Of course I have to take you back first," Kudo Shinichi interrupted Mouri Ran before she finished speaking. After he finished speaking, he felt embarrassed and quickly changed the subject, "Otherwise, if, if you get lost on the road, your dad will definitely beat me to death."
Mouri Ran, who had known him since kindergarten, knew what he was really thinking when she heard this. Her face flushed and she said, "Who would get lost? Really..."
On the way, Kudo Shinichi turned his head inadvertently and saw a black car parked downstairs of the apartment building. A man was carrying a box down from the car. He seemed very nervous, and his hands even shook several times so much that he couldn't hold the box steadily. Looking closely, there were bloodstains on the man's clothes, and it looked like he had accidentally rubbed them on.
Kudo Shinichi frowned, and hurriedly said "Wait for me here" and chased the man into the convenience store.
It turned out to be an oolong. The man was the owner of the convenience store. Today, he was going to propose to his girlfriend in this convenience store, which was open and improving with the support and encouragement of his girlfriend.
The bloodstains were all because the guy was too nervous. He actually cut his finger with paper when he was preparing for the proposal, and accidentally rubbed it on his clothes.
Really, I thought it was some kind of case.
Kudo Shinichi folded his hands behind his head and walked out of the convenience store.
"Xiao Wu, is there anything you want to eat?"
He looked at the voice and saw two people, one tall and one short, standing in front of the snack shelf of the convenience store. The tall man turned around and asked the white-haired child something. The man's exposed profile and jawline were extremely soft, but you can tell at a glance that he is a very young man.
Maybe he is too young to be called a man.
Are these two brothers? No, probably not.
The boy has rare white hair and light-colored eyes. The extremely light color makes him look unreal.
Kudo Shinichi felt a strange sense of disharmony from these two people, so he simply changed direction and followed them.
To be precise, this sense of disharmony came from the boy. According to common sense, people's eyes will change as the things they see change. The way a person looks at a kitten or puppy is different from the way a person looks at trees, flowers and plants. The same is true for different colors.
Children of this age should have preferred colors. Even if they don't, they will avoid colors that are considered to be exclusive to the opposite sex because of the fixed social values of gender. And the younger they are, the more likely they are to be attracted by bright colors, so the design of snack bags tends to be bright colors.
But the boy didn't react to the colorful snack packaging bags, and then picked up the pink lunch box, which proved his guess.
Congenital color vision disorder is a complete cone cell dysfunction, which is the opposite of rod cell dysfunction. Patients prefer darkness and are afraid of light, which manifests as day blindness. There is only a distinction between light and dark, but no color difference, and red is seen as dark and blue is seen as bright. In addition, there are symptoms such as poor vision, amblyopia, and central dark spots. Achromatopsia is the most serious type of color vision disorder, which is relatively rare for the other two types of semi-color blindness.
"I'm Kudo Shinichi," Kudo Shinichi took the initiative to introduce himself when he saw the boy's puzzled eyes fall on him, "If I don't know which one to choose, do you need help?"
If I accidentally choose a strange color, will my classmates laugh at me? The young detective, who had not yet grown up, already had a strong sense of justice in his heart. He did not reveal his analysis in full as he had done in the past, and waited confidently for the other party to admit it. Instead, he pretended to want to help because he had seen the boy struggling for a long time.
"Hey?" Mao Lilan didn't know what happened, but still introduced herself politely
, "Hello, I'm Mao Lilan...ah, your eyes are so beautiful." As soon as she finished speaking, she realized that it was a bit rude to say so, and apologized quickly, "I'm sorry, I'm just..."
The boy slightly widened his eyes because of her words, "Eyes?"
"Yes, it's a very beautiful green," Mao Lilan thought for a while and added, "Well...but it's much lighter than ordinary green, very beautiful."
Do my eyes have colors? I thought they were also white.
Asuka Kiri was stunned for a moment, because the brightness of his eyes was not much different from his hair, and he had always thought that his eyes were the same color as his hair, both white.
"Thank you... Hello, my name is Asuka Kiri."
It was the first time that he was flattered by his peers, and he was unable to react for a moment. He mumbled his thanks and changed the subject abruptly, looking at the two people and then hurriedly looking away.
"Are you tangling the lunch box, Asuka-san?" asked Maori Ran.
"Ah..." Not used to this kind of honorific, Asuka Mizuki let out a tiny sigh due to nervousness, and even her voice became much quieter, "...yes."
"Hmm..." The always enthusiastic girl thought for a moment and suggested, "For lunch boxes, the material is the most important. Mom said that plastic will have a plastic smell after microwaves, and may contain toxins. Glass is not suitable for taking to school because it is easy to break and is heavy. Wooden boxes are easily contaminated with food smells and are not convenient to clean. Iron is relatively better."
"Plastic is the most common, and you use plastic yourself," Kudo Shinichi explained, "I think wooden ones are better." Asuka Mizuki, who
didn't know there were so many choices for lunch boxes, became entangled, and finally chose a wooden box during the argument between the two about the material of the lunch box.
Kudo Shinichi stepped on his feet, picked up the right lunch box from the two lunch boxes with the same icon placed side by side, and handed it to Asuka Kiri.
It was hard to tell what color it was from the light and dark, and the boy holding the wooden lunch box carefully glanced at the shelf. He probably wouldn't be given a pink one.
"This color is very similar to Asuka-san's eye color," Maori Ran exclaimed.
"This is Wakatake color."
The three of them turned their heads to look at the source of the sound.
