Heavy leaden clouds hung down, thunder rumbled, and lightning flashed.
Yan Ning intuitively felt that she was riding a carefree crane, and just as she was flying into the clouds, she encountered a Qilin standing on the red sun. When the crane and the Qilin fought, it was a contest of vastly different strengths.

A faint rustling sound of lilies drifted over, a familiar scent.
Yan Ning glanced around and recognized it as Jian Gong Zhai.
Zhu Xiang told her that after she fainted, she should have stayed in the palace and waited until she regained consciousness before weeping for the Empress Dowager. However, He Shen reported to the Emperor that she had fainted because she was so grief-stricken by the Empress Dowager's death, and that the Empress Dowager's spirit in heaven was moved by her sincerity.
The Emperor then ordered her and the old lady to return to the Fucha Mansion, and issued an edict forbidding them from excessive grief and harming their health.
Once back at her residence, Yan Ning felt at peace, her grief completely gone, as if all her sorrow and tears had been sealed away within the palace.
When the old lady came to see her, she showed no sorrow, but rather a sense of relief. Dressed in mourning clothes, her face was as radiant as a spring breeze. She held Yan Ning's hand, which was placed outside the quilt, and said kindly, "Kang'er will be back soon. You should rest and take care of your pregnancy. No matter what happens, your husband is here. You must not worry and harm the child in your womb! The imperial physician said that your child was almost lost!"
Yan Ning was also startled. She placed her free hand on her lower abdomen, which was still swollen. She breathed a sigh of relief and nodded to the old lady. Immediately, a new worry arose in her heart. Although she hadn't clearly heard the emperor's cold voice in the Empress Dowager's bedchamber, the old lady now said that Fukang'an would be returning to the capital soon.
The emperor's indifference must be real!
