The Crescent Moon River is a branch of the Xihai (West Lake) of Shichahai, flowing into Houhai (Back Lake). Initially flowing south, it meanders around Heshen's residence before turning southeast to join Qianhai (Front Lake) of Shichahai. It resembles a coiled dragon, with Heshen's residence nestled within its embrace.
