Fukang'an looked sharply at Xi Ying, "Is it the one who caused trouble at the manor the other day?"
Xi Ying immediately knelt down and said nervously, "The midwife came to thank Xia'er, but was called away by Granny Li to examine the madam. I rushed over after hearing about it, but who knew that Princess Elan would bribe the midwife to harm the madam."
"Why didn't you tell me about these things afterwards?" Fukang'an slammed his hand on the table, his anger barely contained on his handsome face.

He bowed his head and approached Fukang'an, whispering in his ear about Yan Ning making pastries for the old lady in the kitchen. Upon hearing this, Fukang'an didn't say a word to Xi Ying, rose, and left. Zhao Xing followed closely behind.
Qiu'er and Xia'er came in and helped Xi Ying sit down. Xi Ying frowned slightly; she had heard every word Zhao Xing had said. What was Yan Ning up to now? Thinking this to herself, she asked aloud, "Do you know anyone in the kitchen?"
