Chapter 177 The Critical Moment to Break the Impasse and the Turning Point of Fate

Ling Yichen and Jun Mozhan's fingers flew across the keyboard, their eyes glued to the screen. The document on the screen was constantly being added to and modified; every word carried their hopes for the release of their new drama. The only sounds in the room were the clatter of the keyboard and their rapid breathing. Time seemed to stretch on endlessly at that moment, yet it also flew by in the blink of an eye.

“This section will further highlight the cultural integration aspect of the new drama, which is what sets us apart from other successful cases,” Ling Yichen said without looking up, his eyes never leaving the screen.

Jun Mo Ran quickly moved the mouse, dragging and dropping relevant information to the appropriate positions, and replied, "Okay, I'll integrate the cultural element analysis report I prepared earlier to make the overall advantage presentation more complete."

Their eyes revealed determination and focus, unaffected by the tight deadlines and immense pressure. Every thought and revision was like a silent battle against fate, a battle they had to win.

Meanwhile, investigator Xiao Wang returned to the team and told everyone that he had noted down the license plate number. Xiao Zhang, the team's technical expert, immediately sprang into action, searching for vehicle information through various channels.

"Found it! This car is registered under a tech company's name, and it's been frequently entering and leaving a competitor's parking lot recently," Xiao Zhang said excitedly, pointing to the search results on the screen.

“This clue seems crucial; we need to dig deeper along this line.” The team leader immediately made a decision. “Xiao Wang, try to recall the man’s characteristics. Let’s see if we can find him in the tech company’s employee records.”

Xiao Wang closed his eyes and tried hard to recall: "He was probably in his thirties, of medium build, wearing black-rimmed glasses, and had a black mole above his left eyebrow."

The team members quickly sifted through the tech company's employee database and soon found the corresponding personnel information. "It's him, Li Ming. He works in network technology at the tech company and is very likely one of the key personnel involved in the smear campaign."

Just as the investigation team was making progress, Ling Yichen and Jun Moran finally completed the initial compilation of the data. They quickly skimmed through it, confirming that the key points were highlighted and the logic was clear, and immediately sent the data to their partners.

"I hope this information will satisfy our partners." Jun Mo Ran breathed a slight sigh of relief, but his eyes were still full of worry.

Ling Yichen patted her on the shoulder: "We've done our best. The rest depends on the attitude of our partners. However, we can't just sit idly by. With the irrefutable evidence found by the investigation team, we need to be prepared to retaliate against our competitors."

They contacted the investigation team, learned in detail about the contents of the encrypted emails and the latest clues, and developed a comprehensive counterattack plan. They decided to submit evidence to the police and request their intervention before their partners could make a decision, while also preparing to hold a press conference to publicly expose their competitor's despicable actions.

"We must let the public know the truth and not let their conspiracy succeed." Ling Yichen's eyes revealed anger and determination.

However, just as they were preparing to submit evidence to the police, their competitors seemed to sense the danger. They tried to contact Ling Yichen and Jun Moran through various channels, demanding a private settlement.

"It's too late for them to reconcile now!" Jun Mo Ran said angrily. "We absolutely cannot let them get away with this."

Ling Yichen pondered for a moment: "Their sudden offer of reconciliation must be because they know we have irrefutable evidence and they've panicked. But we can't agree so easily; there might be some conspiracy behind this."

Just as they were discussing how to respond to their competitor's settlement request, a call came in from their business partner. Ling Yichen took a deep breath and pressed the answer button.

"Mr. Ling, we have received your materials, and I must say, they are very convincing." The partner's voice came from the other end of the phone. "However, our senior management needs some more time to discuss this, and we will give you a final answer in an hour."

Ling Yichen's heart tightened. Although he hadn't received a definite answer on the spot, there was still hope. "Okay, we'll wait for your news."

After hanging up the phone, Ling Yichen and Jun Mozhan continued their battle with their competitors. They prepared evidence for the police while simultaneously considering how to respond to their competitors' settlement requests.

“We can pretend to negotiate with them first to buy time, while speeding up the process of submitting evidence to the police,” Ling Yichen suggested.

Jun Mo Ran nodded in agreement: "That's right, this way we can keep them calm and give us more time to prepare."

So they contacted their competitors, presented their terms for negotiation, demanding a public apology and compensation for the production team's losses. The competitors seemed eager to reconcile and quickly agreed to some of the terms, but remained vague about the public apology.

"They still refuse to admit their mistakes easily; it seems they're still playing tricks," Jun Mo Ran said coldly.

Just then, the investigation team reported that the police had accepted the evidence they submitted and would be investigating the tech company and its competitors. Ling Yichen and Jun Moran were overjoyed; they knew the moment of retaliation had finally arrived.

However, an hour was quickly passing, and the partner's final response was imminent.
