Chapter 48
The nurse came early in the morning to remind Shi Wan to check, but the bodyguard guarding the door did not let the nurse in. He said he knew and turned to knock on the door.
Gu Zhinian woke up with a start. He opened his eyes when he heard a knock on the door. He glanced at the door and looked at Shi Wan who was sleeping soundly in his arms. There was color on his little face and his soft hair was messy. The hot air from his breath hit his chest. Gu Zhinian gently put Shi Wan on the bed and opened the door after making sure that Shi Wan was not awake.
"how?"
"Sir, the nurse said that the young man can go for a physical examination. Some tests require fasting. It's better to go now to avoid discomfort later." The bodyguard told Gu Zhinian what the nurse had instructed.
"Okay, I got it." Gu Zhinian nodded, turned around and went back. He washed and packed himself before leaving. Shi Wan had already woken up, sitting on the bed blankly with sleepy eyes. The next second, Shi Wan slowly moved to the edge of the bed, lay on the edge of the bed and looked down for Gu Zhinian.
When Shi Wan woke up, she didn't see Gu Zhinian and couldn't hear any sound. She felt empty inside and subconsciously looked for Gu Zhinian in the ward, thinking that he had kicked Gu Zhinian under the bed, which was why Gu Zhinian came out and saw Shi Wan lying on the edge of the bed.
Gu Zhinian saw Shi Wan's little head turning around, as if he was trying to see if he had rolled into the corner under the bed and hidden himself there.
Gu Zhinian didn't go over, for fear of scaring Shi Wan. Shi Wan didn't find Gu Zhinian under the bed, so he looked up and saw Gu Zhinian not far away. He tilted his head, as if to confirm that it was Gu Zhinian. He looked confused and not fully awake yet.
The ahoge on its head swayed back and forth, which was so adorable that it touched Gu Zhinian's heart.
Gu Zhinian pulled Shi Wan into his arms, letting Shi Wan lean on him to prevent him from falling off the bed. Gu Zhinian's hands gently massaged the acupoints on Shi Wan's head. It took a long time for Shi Wan's eyes to become clear.

Gu Zhinian had already prepared the toothpaste and water cup. When he turned around to grab the towel, he said, "Gu Zhinian, blood—"
Gu Zhinian turned his head back, and the towel in his hand fell off. Shi Wan lowered his head and his nose was bleeding. The blood splashed into the pool like a faucet, and the water spread all over the pool.

"Sir." Zhao Ling came in immediately after hearing the voice.
"Tell He Cheng to come here immediately, go now!" Gu Zhinian's voice was trembling.
Shi Wan himself was very calm. He whispered to Gu Zhinian, "Don't worry, I'm fine." Shi Wan pinched his nose with his other hand and patted it with cold water. The nosebleed slowly stopped.
Shi Wan's hands and clothes were covered in blood, and the sink was also red, looking incredibly scary.
He Cheng ran over in a hurry and almost lost his shoes. The bodyguard spoke so urgently that He Cheng thought something had happened.
"It's nothing, I just turned on the floor heating and the air is too dry." He Cheng said after the examination, "My blood clotting function is not good to begin with, so when I start bleeding from the nose, it's really scary."
"I turned on the humidifier." Gu Zhinian didn't expect this to be the reason.
"I know it's still too dry for Shi Wan. Next time when you go home, don't set the floor heating temperature too high." He Chengyou said.

Shi Wan moved his feet while sitting in the wheelchair. He felt that it was not that serious and he could walk. However, seeing Gu Zhinian's serious expression, he sat down obediently and let Gu Zhinian push him.
When having his blood drawn, Shi Wan stretched out his arm as usual. His nose was dry and he didn't dare to rub it. He could only sniff and then did other tests. After the results were out, Gu Zhinian stuffed the gentle soy milk into Shi Wan's hand.
"Has Second Brother eaten?" Shi Wan looked up at Gu Zhinian, intentionally controlling his voice so as not to sound abrupt.
"Go back to the ward and eat. You can have something to eat first. Aunt Lin has already brought breakfast." Gu Zhinian asked the bodyguard to bring the soy milk because he was afraid that he would be hungry late at night.
Shi Wan inserted the straw into the soy milk and handed it to Gu Zhinian's mouth. Gu Zhinian met Shi Wan's gaze, a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth. He reached out to rub Shi Wan's hair, took two sips while holding Shi Wan's hand, and then pushed the cup back to Shi Wan's lips.
Shi Wan held the cup with her head down, her ears red as she drank soy milk in small sips. Her cheeks were red. Gu Zhinian pushed Shi Wan to the ward.
The two of them arrived at the ward. Gu Zhinian fed Shi Wan breakfast and pressed the bell to call the nurse to come and administer the intravenous fluid for today. After the fluid was infused, He Cheng also came over with the examination report.
"All the values are normal. The headache and tinnitus are caused by high fever. It's no big deal. It will be fine once the fever goes away." He Cheng carefully read the examination report and felt relieved when he was sure that there was no problem.
"Can I wear the external cochlear implant now?" Gu Zhinian asked.

Shi Wan looked at He Cheng's mouth shape and knew that she was fine. There was light and smile in her eyes. She pulled Gu Zhinian's sleeve anxiously, wanting the cochlear implant device.
"Okay." Gu Zhinian nodded, took the cochlear implant from the drawer and carefully put it on Shi Wan. After turning it on, Shi Wan heard the sound and the smile in his eyes became more obvious.
"Observe for two more days before being discharged. If the tinnitus becomes uncomfortable, take off the external eardrum immediately." He Cheng gave Shi Wan another reminder before leaving.
"Is your nose still uncomfortable?" Gu Zhinian saw He Cheng go out, held Shi Wan's hand and felt Shi Wan's temperature. The floor heating in the ward was not turned on very high, and the room temperature was only about 20 degrees. Gu Zhinian was afraid that Shi Wan would be cold lying in bed.
"I don't feel uncomfortable anymore." Shi Wan shook his head. "Second brother, come up and get some sleep. Look, you have dark circles under your eyes."

Gu Zhinian took off his coat without saying a word and lay down next to Shi Wan to sleep.
