Chapter 8 The Eighth Dragon

While the others were talking, Lilia finally came to her senses and tried to escape.

However, her speed was no match for Xiao Lingyu, a cultivator in the Foundation Establishment Stage. She was caught by Xiao Lingyu before she ran two steps and her hands were lifted up.

"Still want to run?" Xiao Lingyu said as he held the little beast in front of him.

"Put me down!" Lilia struggled desperately, trying to break free from her shackles.

"Be obedient. I'll give you two choices. Either you become my pet or you'll end up like that black gold pig." Xiao Lingyu pointed at the corpse of the black gold pig and threatened Lilia.

Lilia followed the direction she pointed and took a look at the black pig that died in a miserable state. Her little body couldn't help but shrink and she dared not struggle anymore.

"Lilia, be obedient. Don't kill Lilia!"

As she spoke, she couldn't help but let the tears flow from her eyes.

The little animal's tender and baby-like voice with a crying tone is really heartbreaking.

In fact, no matter which one Lilia chooses, since she has taken a fancy to her, she has only one choice, which is to become Xiao Lingyu's pet.

The reason why she threatened Lilia like this was just to make her obedient, not because she really wanted to hurt her.

It would be difficult for such a weak little animal without any self-protection ability to survive here. It would be better to stay by her side and be her spiritual pet. There would be no need to worry about encountering danger or going hungry.

"Your name is Lilia, right? This name is really strange." Seeing that Lilia was obedient and stopped struggling, Xiao Lingyu held her in his arms, touched her little head, and asked.

"Yeah." Lilia sniffed and nodded obediently.

These humans were so terrifying. If she didn't obey them, her fate would be as miserable as the pig on the ground, so she didn't dare to resist at all.

Seeing Xiao Lingyu tamed the little beast, Lin Xu said, "Let's go."

Everyone nodded and walked in the direction they came from.

Lilia was held in Xiao Lingyu's arms, her body slightly stiff.

Looking at the place where she had lived for more than half a month now getting farther and farther away from her, her eyes were full of reluctance.

Although she wanted to leave here, she didn't want to do it this way.

She didn't know where these humans were going to take her, or whether they would hurt her.

She knew nothing about all this and was very confused, so she was very scared.

However, Lilia felt even more upset when she thought of the sapphire she had placed in the nest.

That was something she had picked up with great difficulty, and it was also her only treasure, but now it was left there, which made her extremely reluctant to part with it.

After all, she is still just a cub. Even in this situation, she still hasn't forgotten her favorite gems.

"What's wrong with it? Why does it look listless?" One of the disciples had been paying attention to Lilia in Xiao Lingyu's arms. Seeing it lying on Xiao Lingyu's shoulder with its head drooping, he couldn't help but ask curiously.

"Maybe it's not used to it yet." Xiao Lingyu said as he patted the little beast's body gently.

However, after hearing what the disciple said, Lilia finally couldn't help but burst into tears.

"What's wrong?" Hearing the little beast crying, Li Chenfeng also looked over.

Xiao Lingyu was confused: "I don't know either."

Why did you suddenly start crying for no reason?

You know what, the crying of this little animal sounds just like a three or four-year-old human baby, which makes people feel a little distressed.

"Little guy, don't be sad. In fact, there's nothing wrong with being our junior sister's pet. She will provide you with food and clothes, which is much better than being out in the wild. Not only do you not have to worry about food, you don't have to worry about encountering danger." Li Chenfeng guessed that the little beast might be scared and sad because it was taken away, so he comforted it.

"Really?" Lilia looked at Li Chenfeng, wanting to confirm the truthfulness of what he said.

Li Chenfeng nodded and said, "Of course it's true. If you don't believe me, ask Junior Sister."

Lilia listened to the conversation between these people and naturally knew that the "little sister" they were talking about was the girl holding her. She asked uncertainly, "Are you really not going to hurt Lilia?"

"You are so cute, how could we hurt you? Just be good and obedient, we can't wait to like you." Li Chenfeng said with a smile.

Not to mention that the junior sister liked it, he was also very interested in this little beast.

Although he had seen monsters that could speak human language before, this was the first time he had seen a monster as small as this that could speak.

"Senior Brother Li is right. Be my spirit pet and I guarantee that no one will bully you in the future." Xiao Lingyu assured her.

As she spoke, she took out a low-level spiritual fruit from her storage bag and handed it to Lilia.

"This spiritual fruit is for you to eat. It's delicious. Try it and see if you like it."

Lilia was really a little hungry. She had come out to find food and that's why she met them and was discovered by them.

When Lin Xu and his group came over, she had just started eating and her stomach was not yet full.

She swallowed, stretched out her paw to take the spiritual fruit handed over by Xiao Lingyu, and whispered "Thank you."

Even other people who didn't like small animals couldn't help but look at her when they heard her thank you so obediently.

After seeing the cute little girl holding a fruit the size of an adult's fist in her two paws and nibbling it in small bites, I couldn't help but feel a little fond of her.

I think no one would dislike such a cute, well-behaved and sensible little animal.

"Junior sister, you must be tired after holding her for so long, right? How about I help you hold her?" Li Chenfeng looked a little envious, so he asked.

He definitely didn't want to hug her because he liked her, but he was worried that his junior sister was tired.
