Chapter 67 Man-Made Disaster

Chapter 67 Man-Made Disaster

The air outside was scorching hot, but once we entered the airport we found the temperature was quite cool.

Indeed, with so many orcs and humans here, the low temperature can indeed inhibit the growth of some bacteria.

Jiang Mian walked towards the place where she picked up the express delivery. After her identity was verified by the staff, she handed over her hub space. The staff then used their loaded hub space to connect with Jiang Mian's hub space. After the goods were successfully transferred, the staff returned her hub space to her.

"Li Yan, let's go." Jiang Mian just turned around.

The next second after her voice rang out, a burst of violent gunfire rang out. At the same time, before she saw when Li Yan came over, a strong arm appeared at her waist. He held her with one hand and rushed forward quickly. He turned over suddenly and hid behind the huge stone pillar of the airport. The row of bullets swept across the place where Jiang Mian had just stood, followed by a new round of shooting.

For a moment, the airport was in chaos, everyone rushed to escape, and alarms rang throughout the airport.

The yellow smoke bomb exploded at the place where Jiang Mian had just received the express delivery.

Seven or eight men with machine guns continued to fire at the place where the express packages were received. When the shooting was almost over, they rushed in and snatched the things.

Behind the stone pillar, Li Yan was half squatting, and Jiang Mian was sitting on one of his thighs. Her heart was beating so fast that she almost died.

The criminals' target was not her, but the supplies at the express station. She just happened to be there when they took action and was attacked indiscriminately.

Fortunately, Li Yan reacted very quickly, otherwise she would have been dead.

Li Yan had quickly taken out a bulletproof vest from the hub space and quickly helped Jiang Mian put it on. His movements were quick and rough, and it was obvious that he had no experience in helping others put on clothes.

Jiang Mian was still slightly surprised when she saw the bulletproof vest, but Li Yan was too rough when he helped her put it on, and the wound on her left arm was slightly hurt. She just frowned slightly and said nothing.

The next second, Li Yan stood up easily, holding Jiang Mian in one hand, and said in a cold and emotionless tone, "Hold me tight."

Jiang Mian understood instantly, and her legs swiftly wrapped tightly around his thin and strong waist. She hugged his neck tightly with both hands, and her head rested on Li Yan's neck. Her whole petite body was pressed tightly against his broad and strong chest.

Li Yan's body stiffened slightly and his breathing became slightly less intense.

Damn, I didn't let her hold me so tight.

Hugging too tight.

The gunshots continued and came this way.

His sharp brows lowered slightly, and a laser gun quickly appeared in his hand.

As the criminals came towards us shooting quickly, we could no longer stay in this position.

In the interval of the machine gun fire, Li Yan moved at an extremely fast speed. As he moved, the machine gun fire rushed towards him. Li Yan rolled to avoid it, and used the steel seat to block the laser bullet. He pressed the laser gun in his hand, and the laser bullet quickly rushed towards the gangsters.

Everything happened in an instant, and the two gangsters were instantly hit by the laser bullet.

At once, all the other gangsters' laser bullets swept over.

After several rolls and somersaults, and hearing the loud gunshots very close by, Jiang Mian could only feel his heart beating almost out of his throat. He hugged Li Yan tightly, and could even feel the strong explosive power and extremely tense muscles on Li Yan's body.

Li Yan instantly hugged Jiang Mian and landed on another pillar.

"Damn!" A man saw that his two brothers were shot in the head by each other.

For a moment, his eyes turned red and he wanted to rush over with a laser gun to kill the other person.

Another man quickly grabbed him and said, "The airport's strafing system is almost back up. Let's go!"

The man could only stare at Li Yan's direction with bloodshot eyes, then kept backing away. The two of them cooperated and ran out of the gate on the other side.

As they walked towards the airport gate, everyone hiding there was shot to death indiscriminately.

Soon after the criminals left, the airport's scanning system was restored, and a large number of laser bullets rushed towards the gate.

But the criminals had already escaped.

The airport returned to calm, and soon a housekeeping robot came out to clean up and dispose of the bodies.

"Aren't the people at the airport going to chase the supplies?" Jiang Mian frowned slightly.

"The items at the express delivery station don't belong to the airport. They're just responsible for safekeeping. If there's a major robbery and they can't keep them safe, they won't take responsibility and will just blame the recipient for their bad luck." Li Yan said coldly, "They won't compensate nor will they expend manpower to pursue them."

Jiang Mian choked.

Although he came here just to take away his things, he was still scared to death.

But if she came too late and didn't take her things, they would be stolen by the criminals. Then it would be like her trip wasted and she would have no place to complain.

When Jiang Mian realized that he was finally safe, his whole body relaxed slightly. Because he had been holding Li Yan's neck tightly with his arms too tense, he didn't feel anything at that time. Now he realized that he felt a sharp pain in his injured left arm, as if the healed scar was accidentally torn open.

She slid down from Li Yan, her left hand hanging down weakly, and her brows slightly furrowed.

The soft hair and pliable arms brushed across Li Yan's neck, seemingly triggering a numbing sensation like an electric current, and Li Yan's whole body stiffened slightly.

His eyes fell on Jiang Mian's slightly furrowed brows.

She quickly realized that she must have pulled her arm.

"Does your arm hurt?" Li Yan held Jiang Mian's wrist, his sharp brows slightly lowered, and he looked down at her.

"It's okay. Actually, I'm almost healed. I just felt a little sore from the intense activity." Jiang Mian said softly, "It will be fine after a while."

"Let me help you take a look." Li Yan frowned and subconsciously stretched out his hand, but when he saw Jiang Mian's fair and slender neck, and that she was only wearing a short-sleeved shirt, he thought it might not be a good idea to tear the clothes off, so his hand froze in mid-air and stopped halfway.

"No need." Jiang Mian didn't pay attention to his actions and just shook his head.

So she went outside: "Let's go, before anything else happens."

Li Yan paused, put down his hand and followed.

The tall figure followed behind her, as if he were the most loyal bodyguard, giving her a sense of security.

Li Yan stared at Jiang Mian's back for a long time.

Damn, this woman looks prettier the more I look at her.

Moreover, her hands and waist are soft, her voice is soft, and even her hair is soft.

And it smells good...

Li Yan frowned and forced the thoughts out of his mind. He would never like that woman.
