Chapter 1 Princess, I just wanted to pull your hair
"Princess! What... what are we going to do! Mu Yu has fallen into an ice cave!"
Princess Jia Hui looked at the dark ice cave, forced a calm smile and pursed her lips: "So what if she fell in? She was stupid enough to believe my joke and try to lie on the ice to pray for carp to save her father. Can she blame me? Besides, Mu Fang is no longer the General of Zhenguo. He's just a prisoner!"
Suddenly, the ice beneath their feet trembled violently as a massive black shadow slammed into it.
Thud! Thud!
A group of maids helped Jia Hui try to escape, but the ice suddenly cracked open with a "crack"!
Everyone fell into the icy river, screams and curses filling the air.
No one noticed that a beautiful little girl, as pretty as a porcelain doll, was gently lifted onto the ice by a huge black catfish.
Mu Yu gently patted the head of the large catfish underwater with her delicate white toes: "Big Black, thank you! Once I leap over the Dragon Gate, I'll take you to the East Sea to eat lots and lots of delicious food!"
The catfish affectionately rubbed against her little toes before happily sliding into the water.
Mu Yu stood on the ice, looking at Jia Hui who was still struggling in the water, and snorted disdainfully.
She saw it all! It was this wicked woman who bullied the little sister she was currently possessing! Xiao Yu wasn't going to save them!
The third princess of the Dragon Clan said that Xiao Yu is already four thousand years old. As the most intelligent princess of the Koi Clan, she is qualified to leap over the Dragon Gate. However, the dragon energy of the Great Chu Kingdom, where this body of water is located, is weak and unable to condense into a Dragon Gate. Therefore, Xiao Yu must assist a wise ruler who possesses the true dragon energy to help him stabilize the world in order to transform into a dragon by borrowing the nation's fortune.
Thinking about how he could go to all sorts of places to eat delicious food after becoming a real dragon, Mu Yu couldn't help but bite his fingers and giggle.
But where is the wise ruler with the aura of a dragon?
As Mu Yu was pondering this, she suddenly heard a venomous shout.
"Mu Yu! You deserve to die! This princess fell into the river, and you dared to stand by and laugh at me!"
Mu Yu blinked her big eyes and looked in the direction of the sound. She saw Princess Jia Hui, who had been the one who had led the bullying earlier, being dragged ashore in a sorry state by her maids, who were glaring at her with resentful eyes.
"I wasn't laughing at you. I was thinking about something delicious, and you're not delicious." Mu Yu pouted. "I haven't even settled the score with you for bullying me yet! And you dare to yell at me!"
"You dare to hold me accountable?" Princess Jia Hui, wrapped in an expensive fox fur coat, still had lips that turned purple from the cold, her voice trembling with anger. "You wretched thing! Do you really think your imprisoned father can still back you up? Guards! Seize her and slap her, then throw her into the river to feed the fish!"
"The fish won't eat me! I'm on very good terms with them!" Mu Yu glared at her, then clenched her little fist and charged at Jia Hui. "You really are a big bad guy! Xiao Yu is going to teach you a lesson!"
How dare a four-year-old brat say she wants to teach her a lesson?
Jia Hui sneered and gestured to the servants to seize Mu Yu.
However, as soon as the servants rushed forward, they suddenly slipped and fell one after another on the ice, rolling into a heap.
Mu Yu nimbly jumped up by stepping on a servant's back, and rode directly on Jia Hui's head, grabbing her carefully styled hair bun.
"You big bad guy! I'm going to rip your hair out and make a knot for you, so you can stop bullying people!" Hmph, don't underestimate her just because she's short. She's been learning how to jump high for a long time in order to achieve her goal of leaping over the dragon gate!
"ah--!"
Jia Hui screamed in pain and tried to pull Mu Yu down, but the little girl twisted her body and dodged away. Mu Yu used the momentum to leap up, grabbed her hair, and dragged her down onto the ice again.
The servants tried to break up the fight, but found the ice beneath their feet too slippery to stand on. One person fell, knocking down everyone around him, creating chaos.
Mu Yu rode on Jia Hui's back, tugging at the other's hair. Seeing the oily hair all over her hands, she wrinkled her little nose in disgust: "You're so dirty. There's black, oily stuff on your hair. It's disgusting."
She vigorously rubbed the hair oil off Jia Hui's expensive clothes, then grabbed Jia Hui's ear, baring her white teeth and threatening, "If you dare to bully anyone again, I'll throw you into the water and let my friends bite you!"
"You...you have such audacity...you deserve to die..."
Jia Hui was already half-frozen, and then she was pressed firmly onto the ice. She was cold, angry, and scared all at once. Her vision went black, and she fainted.
Mu Yu let go of her, feeling bored, and ran to the river to wash her hands. Just as she was wondering where to go, the sound of rapid hoofbeats suddenly came from afar.
"Little Yu'er! Where are you!"
Mu Yu was stunned for a moment. She looked up and saw several tall horses coming towards her. The man in the lead was handsome, but unshaven, with blood seeping from his armor and broken shackles on his wrists. He looked disheveled and was anxiously looking in her direction.
A wave of sadness, not her own, welled up inside her, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.
“I know, this is your father, isn’t it?” she murmured to herself, wiping away her tears. “I know, little sister, you lay on the ice to catch carp to save your father. Don’t worry, I will take good care of your father and not let anyone bully him.”
The willow branches beside it swayed slightly in the still air, and then remained still.
As she spoke, the warhorse had already charged up to her.
The valiant man dismounted and pulled her into a tight embrace, his tiger-like eyes reddening: "Little Yu'er, my darling... I'm useless, I failed to take good care of you!"
"Daddy, don't cry..." Mu Yu didn't expect her little sister's father to cry so much, and she panicked a little. She reached out her little hand and clumsily wiped away the tears on Mu Fang's face. "Does Daddy hurt? Let me blow on them for you."
She leaned closer and gently blew on the man's wounds. Looking at the various scars on his body, she felt a pang of sadness.
Father is badly injured!
In the little girl's memory, her father was the most powerful military general in the country, bestowed the title of "General Zhenguo." However, due to his outstanding achievements, he was feared by the royal family and was stationed at the border year after year, unable to return to the capital. A few days ago, her grandmother passed away, and her father rushed back with her overnight. But as soon as they entered the capital, the crown prince placed them under house arrest on charges of "returning to the capital without being summoned and plotting a rebellion."
Mu Yu pouted. As expected, they were a family of wicked emperors. No wonder their dragon aura was so weak! Dragons would never protect such wicked fellows.
She wants to help her father become the great general again and make all the bad guys fear him!
"Mu Fang! Your father has decreed that you be placed under house arrest in the palace to reflect on your mistakes, yet you dare to injure a guard, break your shackles, and escape from the palace. Do you truly have no respect for the imperial family's dignity?!"
The sound of horses' hooves grew louder as they approached, and a sharp shout rang out from behind the father and daughter. Mu Fang's face instantly turned icy cold.
Just as Mu Yu was about to see who it was, Mu Fang scooped her up and held her protectively in his arms.
"Your Highness," Mu Fang said, shielding his daughter, his voice as cold as iron, "Mu Fang has no intention of rebelling, but if the imperial family intends to do the same thing as 'killing the hunting dog after the rabbit is caught,' and thinks that my Mu family has no one to rely on, then Mu Fang has no choice but to fight to the death!"
His gaze swept over the unconscious Princess Jia Hui not far away, and his voice grew even colder: "Your daughter, Princess Jia Hui, almost caused my daughter to lose her life in the icy river. I, Mu, will settle this score with His Highness the Crown Prince!"
Mu Yu blinked and looked at the man, immediately understanding. That wicked woman was this big bad guy's daughter. Hmph, the daughter bullied her, the father bullied his father—the whole family are wicked!
"Looking for a debt from me? Ha," Crown Prince Chu Chongyun sneered. "Jia Hui is not even of marriageable age yet, just a child. General Zhenguo is making a big deal out of children's nonsense. Isn't this just deliberately provoking trouble and finding an excuse for your escape and rebellion?"
A ruthless glint flashed in his eyes: "Guards! Seize Mu Fang and his daughter and throw them into the imperial prison!"
"Wait! What right do you have to arrest me and Father!" Mu Yu poked her head out from her father's arms and retorted angrily.
The guards of the Eastern Palace instantly surrounded them, swords drawn, their blades gleaming coldly. Mu Fang tightly shielded his daughter behind him, his eyes filled with murderous intent; a bloody battle was about to erupt.
Just as tensions were about to rise, a calm and authoritative voice, like a booming bell, came from not far away, carrying an undeniable authority.
"Your Highness, what an imposing official presence you have!"
With just one sentence, the arrogant and domineering Crown Prince Chu Chongyun froze, his fierce expression vanishing instantly, replaced by fear and panic. Even the murderous Mu Fang, upon hearing this voice, involuntarily tightened his grip on his knife, his eyes revealing a more complex mix of vigilance and apprehension than when facing the Crown Prince.
Mu Yu looked curiously in the direction of the sound and saw a group of people slowly approaching. The man at the head of the group was dressed in a black royal robe. Although he looked gentle, he made everyone present fall silent.
More importantly...
Mu Yu blinked, her small mouth slightly open.
This person... has a golden glow on them! Although it's faint, it's exactly the same as the "dragon aura" that the Third Princess of the Dragon Clan mentioned!
