Chapter 21 The Last Meeting

June 13th (July 25, 2113), at the hour of Yin.

After two days and one night of travel, Hua Qingcheng (the heroine) finally arrived at Xuanyi Valley.

When they were near the entrance of Xuanyi Valley, Hua Qingcheng brought Xuantian, Han Yichen and Shan You out of the space.

"Greetings to the Valley Master! Second Elder!" After seeing who the visitors were, the disciples of Tongtian Temple who were waiting at the entrance and exit of Xuanyi Valley immediately bowed to the two of them.

"Yeah." Xuantian nodded slightly, and then asked someone to bring a carriage.

Hua Qingcheng helped the paunchy Han Yichen onto the carriage, followed by Xuantian and Shan You. The Xiangyun horse, having ridden all the way, finally got a break and followed the carriage at a leisurely pace.

A group of people sat in a carriage, which moved slowly forward, the wheels rolling and making crisp sounds.

Outside the car window, the breeze was blowing gently, the leaves were rustling, and the bright moonlight shone through the gaps between the leaves, casting mottled light and shadows.

Han Yichen sat in the carriage, staring out the window with a dull look, tears welling up in his eyes, but he stubbornly refused to let them fall.

He bit his lips tightly and clenched his fists, as if trying to suppress the pain and sorrow in his heart.

Hua Qingcheng felt distressed as she looked at the man pretending to be strong. She reached out and gently held Han Yichen's hand, trying to give him some warmth and strength.

"Achen, don't be sad, Master will definitely get better." Hua Qingcheng said softly.

She knew that no matter how many words she said at this moment, they would be pale and powerless, and only companionship was the best comfort.

Han Yichen turned his head slightly and looked at Hua Qingcheng, his eyes full of gratitude and love.

He nodded vigorously, trying to force a smile: "Thank you, Xiao Qingcheng. I will be strong, and Master will be fine."

Hua Qingcheng smiled slightly, reached out and gently stroked Han Yichen's cheek, and said softly: "Achen, no matter what happens, I will always be by your side."

Their eyes met, each filled with determination and trust. At this moment, their hearts were closer, as if no difficulties could defeat them.

As time went by, the carriage gradually approached Tongtian Temple.

Not far away, an ancient and solemn building came into view. That was Tongtian Temple, the core of Xuanyi Valley.

As the distance got closer, Han Yichen's mood became heavier. He was looking forward to meeting his master as soon as possible and learning about his condition.

Soon, the carriage stopped in front of Tongtian Temple.

Han Yichen couldn't wait to get off the carriage. Hua Qingcheng supported him tightly, while Xuantian and Shan You followed closely behind.

They walked into Tongtian Temple and headed straight for the main hall.

Inside the main hall, they saw the disciples of Tongtian Temple who were waiting anxiously.

When everyone saw Xuantian and Han Yichen coming, they all came forward to salute them.

Xuanming waved his hand, indicating that everyone didn't need to be so polite.

"How is the Great Elder?" Xuanming asked directly.

A disciple, eyes red, stepped forward to report: "Second Elder, the First Elder is so weak that he can only lie in bed. His condition is not good..."

Upon hearing the news, everyone's heart sank.

On the way to Xuantian Dormitory, Hua Qingcheng noticed that there was a faint herbal fragrance in Tongtian Temple. On the walls were hung exquisite medical scrolls, showing the superb medical skills and profound heritage of Xuanyi Valley.

These scenes gave her a deeper understanding of the strength of Xuanyi Valley.

Soon, they arrived at the door of Xuantian's dormitory.

Hua Qingcheng pushed open the door and walked in with Han Yichen.

Xuanming and Shan You followed closely behind, their hearts full of worry.

Inside the dormitory, Zuo Qinglong, wearing Xuantian's appearance, lay quietly on the bed, his abdomen covered with a thin blanket. At this moment, he looked pale, without a trace of blood.

The third elder Xuan Yue and the fourth elder Xuan Qing were quietly waiting by the bed.

"Second senior brother, Xiao Chenchen, you are finally back!" Seeing Xuan Ming and Han Yichen return, Xuan Yue and Xuan Qing felt relieved. They were really afraid that these two people would not be able to see "Xuan Tian" for the last time.

Without bothering to exchange pleasantries with Xuan Yue and Xuan Qing, Han Yichen walked to the bedside and gently called out, "Master..."

Zuo Qinglong slowly opened his eyes and saw Hua Qingcheng, Han Yichen and Xuan Ming. A relieved smile appeared on his face.

"You're back..." he said weakly.

Han Yichen quickly held "Xuantian's" hand and asked with concern, "Master, how are you feeling? Where do you feel uncomfortable?"

Han Yichen asked as he took Xuantian's pulse. However, after a careful diagnosis, he concluded that Xuantian was already old and frail, and would soon die of old age.

Seeing his beloved disciple's sad face, Zuo Qinglong, who was wearing Xuantian's appearance, shook his head and said in a hoarse voice: "Xiao Chenchen, birth, old age, sickness and death are the natural laws that no one can escape. You don't have to be sad..."

Seeing his master in such a state, yet still thinking about him, Han Yichen couldn't help crying. He threw himself on the bed and said with a sob, "Master, you must get better soon!"

Xuantian, who was wearing Xuantian's appearance, forced a bleak smile. He raised his hand tremblingly, touched Han Yichen's head, and comforted him: "Little Chenchen, don't be sad. Even if the master is gone, he will silently pray for you in a place where you can't see..."

Hua Qingcheng looked at this touching scene with mixed feelings.

Xuanming held Xuantian's hand and solemnly promised him: "Big Brother, don't worry, we will take good care of Xuanyi Valley and take good care of little Chenchen..."
