"Chengfeng, don't be afraid, I will be with you." Hua Qingcheng held Si Chengfeng's hand and calmed him down.
"Okay, with you here, Chengfeng is not afraid of anything." Hua Qingcheng's hand was like a stove to Si Chengfeng, warming his body and his heart.

Grabbing the ice toad from the box on the table and placing it on the edge of the bed, Xuanming put Si Chengfeng's finger in front of it. The ice toad then held the finger, which was stained with blood, in its mouth and began to suck greedily.
The Ice Toad inhaled for a full quarter of an hour, its once snow-white body shrouded in a layer of black mist. Xuanming then placed it in a bowl half-filled with water. Upon encountering the water, the Ice Toad immediately expelled all the toxins it had inhaled, turning the clear water in the bowl as black as ink. Only then did Xuanming remove it.
"As you can see, the Ice Toad has already sucked out some of the toxins from this kid's body. Next, I'm going to take a drop of the Ice Toad's blood and drip it into him."
Xuanming took out a silver needle that was a few sizes smaller than the previous one and pricked the ice toad. Then Hua Qingcheng and the others saw a crystal clear bead emitting a chilling cold air fall on Si Chengfeng's finger, and then melt into Si Chengfeng's body through the wound at the end of the finger at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Si Chengfeng suddenly felt as if he were in a world of ice and snow. The sweat on his head, his knitted brows, his pale face, and his hair, which was soaked in sweat and turned into strands, all showed his current endurance and pain. His whole body couldn't help but tremble.
