"Work more efficiently!"
The morning of September 17th.
In Huaqiao Village, Wu Chen, who Ye Maochun thought should have gone to Pinglan Mountain or Tutou Mountain to practice hard, was actually lying leisurely on a recliner beside Hua Qingcheng's rice field, eating oranges while directing the villagers who were doing odd jobs to harvest the late rice in full swing.
I saw a group of people harvesting rice, holding rice ears, and threshing rice grains. Everything was going on in an orderly manner.
Wu Chen had already been in Huaqiao Village for seven or eight days. However, after staying at the Hua family in the east of the village for one night, he didn't want to leave. After all, being fed and pampered at the Hua family's was much more comfortable than hiding in the mountains and forests and feeding mosquitoes.
It was just a pity for Hua's father. When he lived in his daughter's house, he was served by servants and fed. But when he returned home during the day, he had to cook, wash clothes, and clean the house to serve his savior. Although Monk Wuchen was lazy, it was not that he deliberately wanted to make things difficult for Hua's father during her pregnancy. It was just that the third prince of Zhaoyang Kingdom could not cook at all!
Of course, Wuchen wasn't living there for free. For the past few days, hadn't he been actively helping out with household chores for Hua's mother and father, their daughter, who had quite a fortune?
"Grandpa, this monk who suddenly appeared has done all the supervisor's work. What should I do then?"
On the roadside, Qiu Fu and his grandson Qiu Ming were chatting while watching the busy crowd.
"Are you stupid? Our mission is to protect the master's family under the guise of work. Since someone has done all the work, let's take a break!" Qiu Fu patted his honest grandson's head with some regret.
Zuo An is responsible for the bodyguard work, and the monk has also taken over the job of supervising the workers. So, apart from cooking and cleaning, wouldn't it be good for them to have a rest in their time?
"That's right! Older people are more experienced! Grandpa, you are really smart." Qiu Ming suddenly realized.
"Of course, you're still a little green, so you have a lot to learn!"
Qiu Fu's kind face concealed a cunning heart. Of course, both grandfather and grandson were loyal to Mu Lige, but this did not prevent Qiu Fu from making his life comfortable when conditions allowed.
…
"Are you planning to stay here forever?"
At Murao Hana's house, Zuo An, who was busy in his laboratory after breakfast, met an uninvited guest in black today.
"I don't need you to meddle in my business!"
After giving the newcomer a cold look, Zuo An continued to concentrate on his own work.
"If you want to play, I'll let you do it; if you want to create something, I'll let you do it too; if you don't want to take care of the sect's affairs, I've arranged for Ji Liangchuan to take care of it for you. But, girls should get married when they are old enough, and boys should get married when they are old enough. You are seventeen years old already, and you shouldn't continue to waste time!" Bu Youran looked at his son helplessly.
This time, she had come to Zuo An specifically to marry him off to Shen Tangli, the Young Palace Master of Lingxiao Palace. As the Young Master of the Jianghu's premier assassin organization and the Young Palace Master of its premier intelligence organization, they were a perfect match.
Eighteen years ago, Bu Youran was a senior disciple of the Luosha Sect. While on a mission, he was injured and fell off a cliff. He was rescued by a passing tea picker. While he was recovering, the handsome young tea picker and the cool and heroic Bu Youran fell in love, spending several nights together as husband and wife.
However, Bu Youran, preoccupied with competing with other disciples for the position of Young Master, left without saying goodbye after she recovered from her injuries, returning to carry out the assassination mission. Ultimately, Bu Youran performed exceptionally well, successfully becoming Young Master of the Luosha Sect. Her fleeting romance with the tea-picking man was quickly forgotten.
Four years later, Bu Youran finally achieved her dream of becoming the leader of the Luosha Sect. One day, she suddenly dreamed of the time three years prior, when she was injured and fell off a cliff and was rescued. Upon waking, Bu Youran found herself back in the bamboo hut in the mountains where she had been taken by the tea picker to recuperate. Though the warmth of the past seemed to remain, the man she had met was long gone.
Later, Bu Youran learned from the mountain people that the tea-picking man was pregnant before marriage. After suffering from rumors, he moved into the bamboo house in the mountains where he had recuperated and lived alone.
After giving birth to Zuo'an, the tea picker lived with him in the mountains. When Zuo'an was three years old, the depressed tea picker held his son's hand and lay on the bamboo bed, thinking back to the woman he had loved so much. With two lines of regretful tears sliding down his cheeks, he breathed his last.
Upon learning of Zuo An's existence, Bu Youran brought him back to the Luosha Sect. Although Zuo An was still young at the time, Bu Youran trained him to become the martial arts world's foremost assassin. By the time Zuo An was thirteen, no Luosha Sect disciple could defeat him. The Luosha Sect disciples knew only of Zuo An's remarkable identity, but few knew of his connection to the Sect Leader.
"Come back with me and choose a date to marry the Young Palace Master of Lingxiao Palace. Even if you get married, you will still be the leader of the Junzi Sect and the Young Master of Luosha Sect. Of course, the child you and Chen Tangli have in the future must have the same surname."
Perhaps feeling guilty about the tea-picking man, Bu Youran, now 38, has never married and has no other children, save for her one son, Zuo'an. Zuo'an takes his father's surname. Bu Youran arranged a marriage between her son and the Young Palace Master of Lingxiao Palace, hoping to both strengthen their relationship and continue her own family line and legacy.
"Master Bu, what if I say no?"
Zuo Anyouyou raised his head and looked at Bu Youran coldly.
Although he was still young, he still remembered things. Although his father's appearance had become increasingly vague in his mind, Zuo An could not forget the man who held him in his arms and cared for him every night when he was a child. His father had been abandoned by his irresponsible mother, and he had endured the rumors and gossip of others, eventually dying of depression.
