Chapter 9: Departure to the Demonic Realm

The next morning, the soft morning light shone into the inn room through the window lattice.

Xingyue slowly woke up and opened her eyes, and then she saw an extremely handsome face enlarged in front of her.

At this moment, the owner of this handsome face was staring at her intently with his bright eyes, like the shining stars in the night sky.

"Sister, are you awake?"

The second Luo's voice was clear and pleasant, revealing joy. His eyebrows were curved, and his smile was full of innocence, just like the peach blossoms in full bloom in spring, delicate and charming.

"Yeah." Xingyue lowered her eyes to glance at the man's hand on her waist and said as a matter of course: "Lolo, it's daybreak now, you can take your hand away."

"Sister~"

Second Luo curled his lips, looking as if he had suffered a great injustice. Instead of letting go, he hugged Xingyue tighter like a sloth. He said innocently, "Lolo hasn't slept so soundly in a long time. Let Luoluo sleep a little longer..."

As he spoke, he rubbed his face into Xingyue's arms, like a coquettish kitten, very lovable.

Xingyue frowned slightly when she saw this. She gently pushed Second Luo away and said unhappily, "Luo Luo, even though you say you're afraid of the dark, it's already bright outside. There's no reason for you to bother me. We should set off for the Demon Realm now."

From Xingyue's perspective, she merely embodied God's blessing on the world; however, in the eyes of a certain guy, that was not the case.

This Xingyue is the goddess of the Temple of Light and also the goddess of the Temple of Darkness. If I abduct her to the Demon Clan and make her a princess of the Demon Realm, and then watch Dong Ming and Qian Ye with sullen faces and angry expressions, it would be very interesting, right? Second Luo thought so.

Therefore, after hearing Xingyue's words, the second Luo pretended to be aggrieved and let go of his hands that were around Xingyue's waist. Then, he turned over and lay on the bed with his legs spread out in a "big" shape, motionless, like a lazy big cat, enjoying the warm sunshine.

Xingyue looked at the relaxed and comfortable Second Luo with a puzzled look on her face. She asked curiously, "Luoluo, what are you doing? Isn't it already daybreak? Why are you still sleeping?"

Second Luo glanced at Xingyue with a faint glance, then simply closed his eyes. Those tightly closed eyes were like two closed doors, isolating everything from the outside world. But seeing his thin lips slightly parted, he responded without hesitation: "Oh, sister, the demon world is so far away. If Luo Luo doesn't rest well, how can I have the energy to take you there?"

Hearing this, Xingyue was filled with doubts. She asked, "Lolo, aren't you from the demon clan? Why don't you have any magic power at all? You're no different from a mortal?"

This was a question that lingered in Xingyue's mind. After all, in terms of martial prowess, the demons undoubtedly ranked higher than the human race. Yet, Xingyue couldn't sense any trace of magical energy surging from the red-clothed youth before her. If he hadn't claimed to be from the demon clan, she would have likely mistaken him for just another ordinary human.

"Maybe it's because Luoluo is still young." The second Luo, who was resting with his eyes closed, made up an excuse.

He would never tell Xingyue that he was actually the Demon Lord and possessed boundless magic power. He could naturally control his own aura freely so that others could not sense any demonic aura on him.

Xingyue looked at him suspiciously, obviously not believing his words. "But as far as I know, people of the demon clan are born with magical powers."

The second Luo sat up and looked at Xingyue seriously, "Sister, maybe Luo Luo is an exception. Just like you humans, some people are born unable to gather internal energy, and no matter how hard they practice, it will dissipate without a trace."

At this point, the second Luo looked at Xingyue innocently, as if about to cry. He complained: "Could it be that sister dislikes Luo Luo for not having magic power?"

Xingyue also sat up from the bed and shook her head. "That's not what I meant. I'm just curious. Besides, whether you have magic or not is something your parents should worry about, not an outsider like me."

The corners of Second Luo's mouth twitched slightly when he heard this. He thought to himself: It seems that this goddess sister is really not simple when it comes to matters of men and women, as well as the ways of the world.

"That's good." Second Luo's eyebrows curved, revealing a sweet smile, "Don't worry, sister, once Luo Luo has had enough sleep, he will take you to the Demon Realm without stopping."

So, the second Luo contentedly hugged Xingyue's waist and rested for two hours with his eyes closed, until he slowly got up when the sun was high in the sky at noon.

"Oh~ Lolo slept so well!" The second Luo stretched lazily and sighed.

Xingyue beside him hurriedly urged, "Lolo, now that you've had enough sleep, shouldn't we set off?"

Second Luo blinked her narrow and charming phoenix eyes and said without hesitation: "Sister, Luo Luo hasn't eaten yet..."

Xingyue: ...

At the end of noon, after having breakfast and lunch with Xingyue, Di Er Luo finally took Xingyue on the journey to the demon world.

However, things did not go as smoothly as Xingyue had imagined. She found that the second Luo had to rest for a while after walking a certain distance, and his progress was very slow.

Even though Xingyue had a good temper, she couldn't help but feel a little annoyed. She said unhappily, "Lolo, at your snail's pace, when will we reach the Demon Realm?"

The second Luo replied casually: "At the fastest, it will take a few months, at the slowest, it will take three to five years!"

"Lolo!" Xingyue, feeling cheated, was angry. "Then why don't you tell me how to get to the Demon Realm and I'll go there by myself."

"How can that be possible?" Second Luo hurried forward and grabbed Xingyue's hand, saying, "The demon world is full of dangers. How can Luo Luo let his sister go alone?"

Xingyue frowned and said, "But at this rate, I'm afraid we won't be able to reach the Demon Realm in our lifetime."

Second Luo's eyes rolled and he soothed her, "Don't worry, sister. Luo Luo has a way."

As he spoke, the second Luo walked towards a peddler who was selling vegetables in a mule cart, and directly gave him fifty taels of silver and bought the entire mule cart.

"Lolo, this is..." Xingyue looked at the second Luo who was driving a mule cart towards her with an expression of disbelief.

"Sister, this way, Luo Luo won't have to walk, and we can speed up the process of returning to the Demon Tribe!"

Second Luo drove the mule cart to Xingyue and helped her get on the cart. "Sister, let's get on."

Xingyue looked at the mule cart in front of her, then looked at the excited Di Erluo, and shook her head helplessly, "You..."

The two of them got on the mule cart and drove towards the demon world. Along the way, Second Luo kept telling Xingyue all kinds of interesting stories about the demons, making Xingyue laugh continuously.

In this way, their journey was filled with laughter and joy. Although the speed was not fast, Xingyue found that this kind of journey also had its own unique fun.
