Chapter 311 Grandpa, don't go

Chapter 311 Grandpa, don't go

Suddenly pulled by someone, Old Master Zhou had no choice but to stop.

He looked down and met a round, chubby little face.

The little girl was so young and so small, yet she tugged at his clothes very tightly, pouting her chubby little face with her eyes full of seriousness.

"Hmph." Old Master Zhou said with a stern face, "What? You've come here to be a mediator for your brother too?"

Mao Mao tilted her head in confusion: "What did you say?"

Old Master Zhou snorted coldly: "I've made my meaning very clear. It's no use who comes. I'm an old man with bones, and I don't want to go through all this trouble with you. I advise you to give up on this idea as soon as possible."

Mao Mao shook her head: "Grandpa, don't die."

Old Master Zhou: "..."

He was speechless.

But why bother arguing with a little kid? She's only up to his waist; she probably didn't even understand what he was saying.

"release."

Mao Mao shook her head again: "No."

Grandpa Zhou: "I'm going home."

Mao Mao stubbornly clutched at his clothes: "Grandpa, don't go home."

Old Master Zhou: "..."

Why am I suddenly being bothered by a child?

Grandpa Zhou pulled the corner of his clothes from her hand and tugged at it, but Mao Mao held on tightly, so he didn't dare to use any force.

All of Zhou Shaoyan's students had grown up, so it was rare for him to compete with such a small girl. She was so tiny and looked so frail that he could easily crush her with a little force. He didn't dare to use too much force at all.

"Maomao?"

Shen Zhaolin, who was standing next to him, was also completely bewildered.

Seeing Mao Mao suddenly cling to his teacher, he quickly walked over and helped the teacher untangle the hem of her clothes. Similarly, Mao Mao was holding on too tightly, so he didn't dare to pull hard.

"Mao Mao, what's wrong?" Shen Zhaolin asked, puzzled. "Do you want to play with the teacher? Then let's go to his house together."

Old Master Zhou: "..."

Mao Mao turned to look at Shen Zhaolin and said expectantly, "Uncle, Grandpa isn't going home."

Old Master Zhou's beard twitched: "It's my own home, can't I go back?"

He then glared at his student: "And you, when did I ever agree to let you come to my house as a guest? I don't want to see you, you're so annoying, take this child and leave."

As he spoke, he tried to pull the corner of his clothes out again.

Unable to pull him away, Mao Mao blinked her eyes, then suddenly leaned in and hugged him, pressing her soft little face against his palm. Her soft cheeks were like a pool of milk pudding, so soft it seemed like they would melt at the slightest touch.

Grandpa Zhou froze on the spot, not daring to move at all.

Where did this clingy child come from?!

It's only the first time we've met, and they're already getting handsy!

He glared at Shen Zhaolin.

Shen Zhaolin was also at a loss. He tried to persuade them but failed, so he looked to Lou Fengju and Xia Xiaoxiang for help.

Lou Fengju looked at Mao Mao, seemingly lost in thought.

"Young Marshal?"

As if startled awake by his voice, Lou Fengju quickly walked over.

He didn't offer any words of dissuasion, but instead said directly, "Mr. Zhou, I think you shouldn't go home. Why don't you go to the Military and Political Affairs Office first, sit down and have a good talk with my father?"

Zhou Shaoyan: "..."

He was so angry he puffed out his beard: "Young Marshal Lou, I've made myself very clear. Even if your father were standing here, I would still say the same thing. I won't do it!"

Lou Fengju casually replied, "Alright, then we can go to the Military and Political Affairs Office for tea."

What happened?

Do these two siblings not understand human speech?

Shen Zhaolin watched his teacher with great concern, fearing that his teacher's high blood pressure might cause him to faint from anger.

Zhou Shaoyan sternly said to Mao Mao, who was hugging him, "Let go! I want to go home."

Mao Mao looked up at him pitifully with her little face upturned, still stubbornly shaking her head.

Zhou Shaoyan then looked at Lou Fengju: "Young Marshal Lou?"

Lou Fengju casually surveyed his surroundings, seemingly unconcerned about his predicament. His gaze lingered on everyone nearby, and he didn't overlook any potentially dangerous objects.

But no.

Not a single one.

The commotion attracted some curious glances from passersby, but upon noticing his military uniform, they quickly retreated in fear and hurried away. In his experience, none of them seemed suspicious.

As for potentially dangerous items, there were no flowerpots or other objects overhead that could fall, the nearby buildings didn't appear to be collapsing, and there was nothing on the ground that could trip someone. There were no hidden dangers.

But every member of the Lou family would not miss Mao Mao's reaction.

Mao Mao in their family had a strange premonition. When Mao Mao suddenly grabbed Mr. Zhou and wouldn't let him go home, it must have been because he sensed that he was about to encounter danger.

"Young Marshal Lou!" Zhou Shaoyan emphasized, reminding him, "Please take your sister away."

Lou Fengju raised his hand and pressed him down: "Mr. Zhou, please calm down."

"Young Marshal Lou, what exactly do you mean by this? Are you going to hold a knife to my throat and force me to submit if I don't agree?"

“Who knows, someone might really put a knife to your throat,” Lou Fengju said.

Zhou Shaoyan frowned: "What do you mean by that? Are you threatening me?"

There is no danger outside, but considering what Mao Mao said about "not going home," perhaps the danger is lurking in Mr. Zhou's house.

Lou Fengju gave his adjutant a look, gesturing towards the Zhou family's direction. The adjutant immediately reached behind his waist, and the two of them cautiously approached the Zhou family's residence.

Upon seeing this, Old Master Zhou immediately became anxious.

He didn't care about anything else, and reached out to forcefully push Mao Mao aside to stop their actions.

Just as he got close, Lou Fengju raised his hand to stop him.

He was tall and strong, and how could Old Master Zhou, an elderly man with a white beard, possibly get past his defenses? With a slight lift of his hand, he prevented Old Master Zhou from advancing.

Zhou Shaoyan was furious: "Building..."

Lou Fengju raised a finger and made a shushing gesture to his lips.

His thick, dark eyebrows now exuded an imposing aura, his gaze sharp and cold, a sudden shift from his previous nonchalant and casual attitude, like a cheetah poised to pounce.

"Mr. Zhou, do you have guests?"

"What guest?" Zhou Shaoyan was taken aback.

“There are at least two.” Lou Fengju also drew his gun from its holster, concealing the movement with his sleeve: “One is behind the door, and the other was behind the window just now. They should have weapons in their hands; there was a glint of light just now.”

Everyone was stunned.

Seeing that the young master had drawn his gun, Xia Xiaoxiang quickly hugged Mao Mao, who wanted to chase after him to stop Old Master Zhou, and covered her little ears with her hands, protecting her as she retreated and hid in the corner.

Shen Zhaolin's expression also turned serious: "Young Marshal, are you telling the truth?"

Lou Fengju: "By the way, is there no one at your house?"

Zhou Shaoyan's expression changed drastically.

"My wife," he said慌张地, "my wife is at home."
