Chapter 258 Flying Kites
The Lou family.
The spacious courtyard outside the villa is not only convenient for Mao Mao to ride his little car, but also for flying kites.
Everyone gathered in Lou's courtyard.
Commander Lou glared at the shameless men who had followed him, his face grim.
Why can't we fly kites anywhere? The park outside is crowded, and it's more convenient to go home. At home, he can play with Mao Mao.
How come there are two more people interfering in the fun between father and daughter?
Lou Hongjian also muttered to his brothers, "It's one thing for Mr. Nie and Shen Zhaolin to come, but why is she here too?!"
Lou Heming adjusted his glasses and smiled, "Ah Hong, Miss Zhang is also Mao Mao's friend."
Lou Hongjian made a face silently.
When they came out of the private room, they ran into the three members of the Zhang family.
Upon meeting her friends, Mao Mao greeted them warmly and invited them to fly kites together. However, Zhang Jing Shu, oblivious to the formalities, immediately abandoned her father upon hearing the invitation and brought her younger brother to the Lou family home.
We went out to watch the dragon boat races and came back, and not a single person was missing, in fact, there were five more people!
Mao Mao, carrying a blank kite, ran over, calling out, "Brother! Brother!"
Lou Hongjian immediately stood up straight: "What?"
"Brother, draw." Mao Mao held up a blank kite in front of him, looking at him expectantly: "Brother, draw me a little bird."
"no problem."
This is Lou Hongjian's strength.
He dashed upstairs like a whirlwind, then returned with a bundle of oil paints, which he dumped onto the table with a crash. Lou Hongjian picked up the easel and brushes, and said generously, "What do you want? I can paint it all."
He painted Western paintings, while Shen Zhaolin painted traditional Chinese paintings.
The two of them, one holding a paintbrush and the other a calligraphy brush, quickly painted on the blank kite. On one side, they painted a freehand magpie, light and agile, and on the other side, they painted a realistic swan with lifelike feathers.
Since we're going to fly kites, how can it be just Mao Mao flying them? When we get home, everyone should come and join in.
The ladies surrounded Lou Hongjian with blank kites in hand: "Third Young Master, draw me a cat too, just like the old lady's cat."
Meow~
"Third Young Master, I want a peacock."
Lou Hongjian, with a paintbrush in his mouth, wielded it with swift, flowing strokes: "We have it all, we have it all."
Lou Dashuai squeezed through and slammed the blank kite in his hand in front of him: "Draw me a tiger!"
Lou Hongjian exclaimed, "Ah! Dad, you're flying a kite too?"
General Lou glared: "What, it's not allowed?"
"No, no." Lou Hongjian quickly mixed the paints and began to paint a tiger for him.
Soon, everyone's kites were finished.
Birds and beasts, all kinds, some impressionistic, some realistic, and some even with Mao Mao's little handprints.
Perhaps today is the perfect day for flying kites. Before the paint on the paper has even dried, a gust of wind blows, and all the little animals fly into the sky.
Mao Mao's kite had the most small animals on it. She not only painted magpies, but also swallows and swans. Shen Zhaolin and Lou Hongjian also painted on her kite. The birds chirped and huddled together. After they flew high, their specific shapes became indistinct, just a blurry blur.
The birds were flying in the sky when suddenly a tiger appeared out from the side.
Lou Dashuai came over and asked, "Mao Mao, can you pull it? Do you need Daddy's help?"
Mao Mao gripped the kite string tightly with her little hands, pouting her chubby little face, and looked seriously at the sky: "Mao Mao can do it."
Lou Dashuai wanted to say something more, but suddenly felt a pulling force coming from the kite in his hand. He quickly turned his head to look and saw that another kite had appeared in the sky at some point and accidentally collided with his, with the kite strings intertwined.
It is Nie Zhengyun.
Nie Zhengyun looked genuinely embarrassed: "General, I didn't mean to."
Lou Dashuai narrowed his eyes dangerously as he looked at him.
A moment later, Nie Zhengyun also felt a force coming from the kite in his hand.
"..."
The two exchanged a silent glance, then simultaneously tightened their grip on the kite string, engaging in a tug-of-war in the air.
Clutching her kite, Mao Mao happily ran around on the open ground with her short legs, quickly moving away from this war without gunpowder.
Lou Yansui turned to her brother and said, "How can Dad be so childish? He even had a kite-fighting contest with Mr. Nie."
Lou Heming: "With so many people flying kites, it's inevitable that they'll bump into each other... Look at Ah Hong."
Over there, Lou Hongjian was so engrossed in watching the kites in the sky that Zhang Jingshu was also so engrossed in watching the kites in the sky that they accidentally bumped into each other while flying them.
Before they could even apologize, the kite string suffered the same accident.
Lou Hongjian shouted, "Your kite hit mine!"
Zhang Jingshu: "Sen Sen and I have been here the whole time. You were the one who walked over here!"
Lou Hongjian: "This is my home. I can go wherever I want. Get down."
Zhang Jingshu raised her chin: "No! Why should I give way? You go first."
Lou Hongjian: "I painted this kite for you!"
Zhang Jingshu: "So what? I've already thanked you for the kite you drew, why should I take the initiative to admit defeat?"
Zhang Jingsen cheered excitedly from the side, "Go, sister!"
The two exchanged a glance, their eyes blazing with fighting spirit, and began to grit their teeth and compete, their kites locked in a fierce battle. Neither was willing to let the other's kite fall.
Lou Yansui: "..."
Lou Heming smiled at him: "A-Sui, why aren't you going to play?"
"I can watch it from here."
Lou Yansui had some thirst-quenching water and a towel at hand, ready to hand them to her sister at any time.
But Mao Mao was having so much fun that she didn't feel tired or thirsty. She had already run around the courtyard several times, holding onto the kite string tightly.
Soon, the kite war between Lou Dashuai and Nie Zhengyun also came to a conclusion.
Lou Wenshan used a clever technique to cut Nie Zhengyun's kite string. In mid-air, the two intertwined kites were quickly reduced to just one tiger, which roared triumphantly in the blue sky, while the other flew away with the wind, its whereabouts unknown.
Lou Dashuai: "Haha!"
Nie Zhengyun looked regretfully at the broken kite string in his hand: "General, you're amazing. I've lost."
Lou Dashuai's voice boomed as he said heartily, "Haha, you're not bad at all, being able to fly with my kite for so long."
Nie Zhengyun smiled, casually tossed aside the spool of thread in his hand, and strolled over to Mao Mao with his hands behind his back: "Miss Mao Mao, let me help you."
"Hey? Uncle, where's your kite?"
"It flew away."
Mao Mao generously said, "Uncle, then I'll lend you my kite to play with."
Nie Zhengyun smiled and said, "Oh, thank you, Miss Mao Mao."
Commander Lou: "..."
His grin, revealing his large teeth, vanished instantly. His fierce eyes glared angrily at the smug black figure, but because the kite in his hand was still flying in the sky, he couldn't go over to stop him.
He took back what he had just said.
Nie Zhengyun is terrible!
