The next day, the Chi family held a family meeting.
The topic of the meeting—my daughter's name!
Aunt Chi, holding her daughter, presided over the meeting: "You all should help think of some ideas, don't be as perfunctory as when your father named you."
"How is that perfunctory? I..."
"Mountains, rivers, streams, seas, lakes! Tell me, what is this if not just a perfunctory response?"
Aunt Chi felt a surge of anger whenever she thought of her son's name.
Just as Old Man Chi was about to retort, he heard Aunt Chi sneer: "Or are you saying that even if you used your brain, this is the only name you could come up with?"
Old Man Chi quickly swallowed back his original words and said casually, "Oh, does a boy's name need to be carefully chosen? A humble name is easier to raise."
Aunt Chi smiled.
Chi Tang: ...
No! She doesn't want a name like that!
Chi Tang immediately reached out to touch Aunt Chi.
Although she couldn't see clearly yet, she could still tell the direction by sound.
"Oh, my daughter and her mother are so sweet, aren't they? My little darling." Aunt Chi happily took her daughter's little hand and kissed it again and again.
Suddenly, a divine inspiration struck.
Aunt Chi said, "You little girl, are you afraid of what your father will name you?"
"Wow!"
Chi Tang couldn't utter any other sound, so she just nodded excitedly.
Mother is so clever!
"Look, my daughter is nodding! She's so smart!" Aunt Chi exclaimed in astonishment.
Old Man Chi also praised his daughter's intelligence.
She completely forgot that she was the one her daughter disliked!
Aunt Chi held her daughter's little hand and said to her, "Then, when your parents say a name, nod if you like it, and shake your hand if you don't, okay?"
"Wow!"
Chi Tang nodded.
This scene was nothing short of miraculous.
The whole family was grinning from ear to ear, and they actually started seriously discussing names with their little girl.
"Fu Niu?" Old Man Chi said first.
Chi Tang immediately waved her hand!
That's so outdated!
Aunt Chi pondered for a moment: "Sixty-six?"
She has five sons; this is her sixth child.
Chi Tang continued to wave her hand.
She's a leopard too!
"darling?"
Waving hand!
"Baby?"
Waving hand!
"Xin Xin?"
Waving hand!
Old Man Chi's lips twitched, and he asked his wife, "Do you think our daughter doesn't understand? Why does she just wave her hand?"
"We were being foolish. What can a newborn baby understand? We can just take it ourselves." Aunt Chi also realized that they had been overthinking things.
No!
Chi Tang waved her hands frantically.
That's not what I meant!
"Look, look, all this child does is wave her hand," Old Man Chi said happily. "My daughter is so much more energetic than other people's daughters! She's been waving her hand for ages and she's not even tired!"
How come you're not tired?
So angry that Chi Tang opened his mouth to speak, he started drooling!
Before Chi Tang could even feel embarrassed, suddenly...
Chi Tang froze!
Aunt Chi lifted the diaper and said with a smile, "Your daughter peed. Quickly take this diaper to wash it."
As she spoke, she quickly changed the child's diapers.
It was during this time that the sons finally got a chance to speak.
Chi Dashan said excitedly, "Father, Mother, look, it rained immediately after my sister was born! My sister is so lucky! ...How about...since it rained, my sister's name is..."
Chi Tang listened intently with great excitement.
Should we call it Raindrops?
That's a good nickname.
"Let's call it Pool Water. Or Rainwater is fine too," Chi Dashan said in a simple and honest manner.
"ah!"
Chi Tang opened her voice to attract attention, then waved her hands frantically.
She doesn't want a name like that!
Wow, is your little sister so smart? Does she not like these two names?
"Wow, little sister is so smart!" Chi Dashan's youngest son, three-year-old Xiao Suotou, also tried to imitate her.
Sister-in-law Chi smiled and patted Xiao Suotou: "Son, you have to call her Auntie."
The little lock was stunned. This little kid was older than him?
Little Lock frowned immediately and said seriously, "She's younger than me, she's my sister!"
"It's my aunt, she was born to my grandmother, so she's my aunt!"
"Not your sister?"
Even Xiao Suotou's voice trembled.
Sister-in-law Chi laughed: "Is it because Auntie is bad?"
"Wah!" Little Suotou burst into tears. "I don't want Auntie! Auntie is an elder, she can hit me, I don't want her!"
"Ha ha ha ha!"
The little lock's innocent remarks made everyone laugh.
Chi Tang was so angry that she blew bubbles.
Why is she dressed as a newborn baby?! She can't do anything!
Seeing her little girl's furrowed brows and unhappy expression, Aunt Chi found it amusing and decided to make the final decision:
"If you ask me, since it rained the moment my daughter was born, her formal name should be... Pond, or Pond Begonia, like the 'Begonia' in crabapple blossoms."
"Tangtang? What a nice name."
"Chi Tang? My dear daughter."
The whole family agreed that the name was quite good!
Especially when referring to the previous points one through five.
Chi Tang blinked and called out the original name again.
Not bad, not bad.
Perhaps this is my destiny with this family?
"Haha, you little rascal, look at your little face." Aunt Chi patted her daughter and laughed, then said to Sister-in-law Chi, "Eldest daughter, it's your turn to cook today, right? Hurry up and cook, everyone else go and do your own thing."
As he spoke, he picked up his daughter and opened the cabinet on the kang (heated brick bed), intending to take out some rice for his daughter-in-law to cook.
