Chapter 443 The Hidden Truth

Yao Anna is playing the lead role this time.

Because of her significant role, she was among the first cast and crew members to arrive at the filming location.

So she experienced everything that happened to Wang Dong in the film crew.

"Actually, Wang Dong's visit this time was not of his own volition."

He had already designed the costumes early in the morning, but he had a fight with his girlfriend, so he asked to come to the set at the last minute. One reason for this was probably to avoid his girlfriend and want to calm down alone.

The wedding dress he wore wasn't entirely from the film crew's costumes.

It is said that he designed this outfit for his girlfriend so that she could wear it for their wedding at the end of the year!

However, when the director went to look at the costumes, he happened to see this wedding outfit, and he was very interested and satisfied with it. Because in our drama, the wedding ceremony of the male and female leads is also a grand scene.

Therefore, the director proposed to requisition this wedding dress.

Wang Dong thought it was acceptable, after all, the price offered by the director was indeed a good figure!

However, Wang Dong's girlfriend was not willing. She felt that this wedding dress was prepared for their wedding, and it was simply unacceptable to measure it by money.

Therefore, the two of them had the conflict and tension I mentioned earlier regarding Wang Dong's arrival on the set.

As Yao Anna spoke, she took a sip of the tea that Hu Da had brewed and sighed helplessly: "Perhaps because of the argument with his girlfriend, Wang Dong's whole demeanor has been a bit off since he came to the film crew."

Anyway, she has a terrible temper!

Whether it's speaking or anything else, he's impulsive and easily angered, as if he's on steroids.

In less than half a month, he had argued with the village chief and the director at least several times!

The director probably knew why he was throwing a tantrum, so he didn't take it too seriously, but the village chief definitely couldn't understand, so things got quite unpleasant.

Yao Anna recounted everything she knew to Song Mengmeng and the others in detail.

Besides matters related to Wang Dong, there were also rumors they heard after arriving in the village, and some strange things that happened after they arrived.

"From the moment we moved into this village, the village chief instructed us that once dusk fell, we were not allowed to leave the village. Otherwise, who knows what might happen?"

At first, not many people believed it.

However, as you know, our filming schedule was very tight this time, so we were basically busy every day. When we got back to the village, we were so tired that we didn't have time to think about anything else. All we wanted to do was sleep.

Wang Dong must have left the village before.

At this point, Yao Anna leaned closer to Song Mengmeng before continuing in a lowered voice, "You should have seen it when you came. Our courtyard is very close to the village entrance, where Wang Dong lives. If you want to go out, you have to pass by my courtyard."

That night, he must have received a phone call. It seemed his girlfriend was coming over, and he wanted to pick her up, so he asked the director to borrow his car.

The director didn't say anything and readily agreed; however, the village chief somehow got wind of Wang Dong's plan to leave and came directly to stop him.

However, Wang Dong didn't appreciate it at all, saying that the village chief was deliberately making trouble for him. Then the two of them had a huge argument outside my yard.

Finally, Wang Dong insisted on leaving, and the village chief couldn't stop him no matter what he did. He just stood at the door and cursed at Wang Dong's car, saying that he would be punished for doing this!

But back then, none of us took it to heart; we just thought the village chief was angry and saying harsh things.

Anna Yao sighed; that was actually what she thought at the time.

Looking back now, if they had known that Wang Dong would end up like that, they would never have let him leave. Sometimes, it's better to believe something is true than not to believe it at all!

There's something I'm still curious about.

After listening to Yao Anna's explanation, Song Mengmeng finally spoke up, whispering her question: "Does our crew, and all the other crews that filmed here before us, not have to film night scenes?!"

The young girl slowly put down her teacup, looked up at her friends, and, meeting their slightly surprised gazes, continued slowly, "Night scenes, they must also be filmed away from the village, at a shooting location in the mountains, right?!"

If that's the case, why didn't those people meet with misfortune?!

Yes, how do you explain that?!

If leaving the village's shelter at night and venturing outside would bring misfortune, then why were all the other people who filmed night scenes before able to return safely, while only Wang Dong had an accident?

Is it really just because Wang Dong damaged the stone carving in his yard?!

This explanation seems a bit far-fetched.

However, as things stand, there really aren't any other clues right now. The girls chatted together for a while longer when they heard a cheerful voice calling from the side courtyard: "Sister Anna, the food is ready! Grandma asked me to come and call you to eat."

The film crew stayed in the village, and their food and drink were mostly provided by the villagers, following local customs.

Of course, if there are any things you're not used to, you can figure them out yourself. For example, another popular star in the crew hired a chef to come up the mountain specifically to take care of their meals.
