"I wonder if Master Hui has found the lost item?"
Liao Hui shook her head. "No."
"Since I haven't found it, it means that thing is not meant for me."
It will eventually meet its destined one.
Qin Ruoxi nodded after hearing Hui's words.
"Miss, Young Master Jun wishes to see you."
Qingye walked from the doorway to Qin Ruoxi and said...
"Let him in."
Jun Qingzhi walked in, looked at Qin Ruoxi sitting on the stool, and went over to her.
Upon reaching Qin Ruoxi, Jun Qingzhi took out a porcelain bottle from her sleeve and placed it in front of her.
"This can get rid of dark circles under the eyes."
Qin Ruoxi glanced at the porcelain vase on the table, then turned to Jun Qingzhi and expressed her gratitude.
Qin Ruoxi thought Jun Qingzhi would leave after delivering the items, but Jun Qingzhi didn't leave at all.
Instead, he looked at Liao Hui and asked, "How should I address this master?"
"My Buddhist name is Liaohui."
Master Liaohui
Jun Qingzhi called out, then took a bamboo skewer from her bosom and handed it to Hui.
"Master Liaohui, could you please take a look at this bamboo skewer?"
After Liao Hui took the bamboo stick, she realized that it was the very same bamboo stick she had lost, the same one that Qin Ruoxi had drawn when she drew a fortune stick.
Liao Hui snapped out of her shock and returned the bamboo skewer to Jun Qingzhi.
He then glanced at Qin Ruoxi, then at Jun Qingzhi, and then fiddled with the prayer beads in his hand.
"Fate, what a coincidence!"
After speaking, Liao Hui stood up and looked at Qin Ruoxi, "Young benefactor, this humble monk will take his leave now."
After saying that, he saw Qin Ruoxi but didn't say anything more, and walked out of Qin Ruoxi's courtyard.
As they reached the courtyard gate, Liao Hui was still saying, "Fate is determined by heaven."
Qin Ruoxi and Jun Qingzhi, sitting on stools in the courtyard, looked at each other.
Neither of them understood what Hui meant, and neither of them dwelled on it.
Dong Tao brought the food up, and Qin Ruoxi glanced at Jun Qingzhi.
That means, I'm going to eat now, you can leave...
But Jun Qingzhi pretended not to see it and said, "Miss Xiao, how do you know I haven't eaten either?"
Even if Qin Ruoxi was slow to react, she understood the meaning behind Jun Qingzhi's words.
"Dongtao, please bring Young Master Jun an extra set of chopsticks and a bowl."
Qin Ruoxi was very unwilling to hear this, and Jun Qingzhi naturally noticed it, so she looked at Qin Ruoxi with a smile in her eyes.
Qin Ruoxi poked at the bowl of rice porridge with her chopsticks, inwardly cursing Jun Qingzhi: You're kidding me for not eating!!! Dongtao clearly served you food at dinner tonight!!! And you ate it!!! You ate it and then tried to steal my food!!!
Indeed, Qin Ruoxi believed that Jun Qingzhi had come specifically to steal her food.
After Dongtao brought Jun Qingzhi a bowl and chopsticks, Jun Qingzhi and Qin Ruoxi began to eat together.
Qin Ruoxi didn't enjoy the meal at all, but Jun Qingzhi certainly did.
After dinner, Jun Qingzhi got two more cups of tea from Qin Ruoxi.
Finally, it was Qin Ruoxi who said, "I'm going to sleep," which implied, "Why aren't you leaving yet?" Only then did Jun Qingzhi leisurely leave Qin Ruoxi's courtyard.
Back in her courtyard, Jun Qingzhi saw Qin Ruoxi's haggard face and felt a strange discomfort in her heart.
Jun Qingzhi looked at Yu Feng, "Yu Feng, tomorrow have our people accompany her people to treat the people of Ancheng."
"Yes, Master."
In the middle of the night, Qingye rushed to Qin Ruoxi's door and knocked on it repeatedly.
"Miss, something terrible has happened!!!"
Qingye knocked on the door, but no one answered, so she knocked again, this time louder than before.
"Miss? Miss?"
"What's wrong?"
Qin Ruoxi's still-drowsy voice came from inside the room. After hearing Qin Ruoxi's reply, Qingye quickly spoke...
"Miss, it's raining moderately again."
"His Highness went to the riverbank because he was worried about the newly built embankment, but an hour has passed and he still hasn't returned."
Qin Ruoxi, who was sitting on the bed in the room, quickly got out of bed and went to the clothes rack where her clothes were hanging. While getting dressed, she spoke to Qing Ye outside the door.
"Wait a minute, I'm getting dressed now. Come with me to take a look in a bit."
"Yes, Miss."
Qingye stood outside Qin Ruoxi's door, waiting for her.
A short while later, Qin Ruoxi came out dressed. She didn't comb her hair; instead, she simply tied it all back with a hairband.
Qin Ruoxi and Qingye, each holding an umbrella, hurried towards the riverbank.
Just as they were about to leave the city gate, they encountered Feng Yang, who was rushing over.
"What's wrong, Fengyang?"
"Miss, the Princess, the Heir Apparent, and your friends have arrived. They are currently at the city gate of Ancheng."
Upon hearing Feng Yang's words, Qin Ruoxi's already furrowed brows furrowed even more deeply.
"Why are they here? Fengyang, take them to the prefect's residence."
Qin Ruoxi instructed Feng Yang, then glanced at Qing Ye, "Qing Ye, let's hurry to the riverbank."
"yes"
"Use your light-foot technique!"
With that, Qin Ruoxi and Qingye threw away their umbrellas and used their light-footed skills to exit through another city gate, heading towards the riverbank.
Feng Yang led the people closer to the city gate of Ancheng.
"These are the medicinal herbs and grains we brought. Please take them and distribute them to the people."
"Yes, Princess."
Qin Yan looked at Feng Yang in front of her and pointed to the carriages behind her.
