"Wow, we won! We won!"
One of the people who had bet heavily with Qin Jingyi was overjoyed to see himself win.
He looked at Qin Jingyu with a fawning expression.
"Young master, will you come again?"
"Come on, how could you not come?"
After the dice were shaken and placed on the table, it was announced, "Please bet on big or small."
As he finished speaking, Qin Jingyan continued to place the money on the larger item.
This time, many people saw Qin Jingyi place the silver coins on top of the larger ones, and they followed suit.
Without a doubt, the big bet won again this time.
Qin Jingyi stayed at the gambling table for fifteen minutes before preparing to leave.
"Young master, aren't you going to play anymore?"
"I'm not playing anymore, I'm not playing anymore. I can't set a bad example for my silly little brother."
"Fine, I won't play anymore."
Those who had been betting with Qin Jingyao from the very first hand he entered carried their winnings to their arms and walked out of the gambling den.
And some of the winners, seeing that they had won, would slump over the gambling table and continue betting.
"Don't tell me you're here to teach me how to gamble."
"You're overthinking it. If you were to learn gambling, your mother, who comes from a noble family, would probably kill me."
Qin Jingmu followed Qin Jingyu upstairs.
What do we do now?
"Let me show you some different places."
Qin Jingyu led Qin Jingmu upstairs, past several rooms, and finally opened the door to the innermost room.
"Young master, what brings you here?"
After the door opened, a middle-aged man was sitting inside. Upon seeing Qin Jingyao, the man stood up and walked over to him.
"I want to see your manager."
"Alright, please follow me."
The middle-aged man squatted down, opened a door, and walked ahead, leading Qin Jingyu and Qin Jingmu.
"Young master, it's been quite a long time since you last visited."
"How's Luo Niu's gambling den doing lately?"
Leading the way was Luo Niu. Upon hearing Qin Jingyi's words, Luo Niu casually replied...
Everything is the same as before.
"Um"
"Young master, what brings you to the gambling den today?"
"Something came up."
"Alright, young master, we've arrived."
Just then, Luo Niu opened the door and let Qin Jingyi and Qin Jingmu in.
"Young master, you're familiar with this place, so I'll head out now. I still need to keep an eye on the gambling den outside."
"Go out."
Luo Niu said "Hey!", closed the door, and went back the way he came.
Qin Jingmu looked around, then looked at Qin Jingyu.
"What are those signs on the wall, and they say 'one, two, three, four'...?"
Qin Jingmu walked to the wall with numbers written on it, and reached out to take down a sign.
"You'd better not take it?"
Qin Jingmu's hand froze in mid-air, looking at Qin Jingyi with confusion.
"If you take it, you must complete the tasks assigned above until you die."
Upon hearing Qin Jingyu's words, Qin Jingmu withdrew his hand and put it behind his back.
Let's go.
Qin Jingyu led Qin Jingmu forward.
"Is this underground? What exactly does this gambling den do?"
Qin Jingmu remained expressionless as always.
You're right.
"As for what this place is for, you'll find out in a moment."
A moment later, the two arrived at the entrance of a store with the word "Special" on its sign. Qin Jingyu pushed the door open and went inside.
"Manager Qian"
"Who do we have here? Oh, it's you, sir...?"
"Manager Qian, this is my second brother."
Qian Tong glanced at Qin Jingmu, nodded to indicate that he understood, and then looked back at Qin Jingyi.
"What made you decide to come here? It's been quite a while since you last visited."
"I'd like to ask Manager Qian for a favor."
Qian Tong, who was brewing tea, was surprised. "Oh? That's rare."
"Tell me, what do you want me to do for you?"
Qian Tong poured two cups of tea, placing one in front of Qin Jingyi and the other in front of Qin Jingmu.
"The Nantong Earl's Mansion has been too quiet lately."
"I'd like to trouble Manager Qian to bring some amusement to the Earl of Nantong's mansion."
Qin Jingyi picked up a cup of tea, brought it to his lips, and said something before drinking it, his words quite calm.
"Is your younger brother perhaps expressionless?"
Qian Tong did not answer Qin Jingyi's question, but instead looked at Qin Jingmu, who was sitting next to Qin Jingyi.
“Your younger brother has had this expression ever since he came in, and he still does.”
"It's probably either facial paralysis or dementia."
"Oh--"
Qin Jingyi chuckled as he sipped his tea. Qin Jingmu's face cracked slightly upon hearing Qian Tong's words, and his lips twitched.
"Manager Qian, I'm a normal person. I don't have facial paralysis or dementia."
"I know, I know"
Qian Tong waved his hand, looked at Qin Jingyi, and had a speechless expression on his face.
"Your second brother is just as boring as you."
After Qian Tong finished speaking, he picked up the tea and snacks on the table and began to eat.
"You brought your expressionless younger brother here, aren't you afraid he'll go astray?"
"Even if they go astray, there's still the Emperor and Consort Shu."
Qin Jingmu was puzzled and disapproving when Qin Jingyu directly revealed his identity.
Qian Tong glanced at Qin Jingmu and nodded in agreement, "Leaving aside that, neither your father nor Consort Shu will let him off the hook."
"After all, before Consort Shu entered the palace, she was notoriously domineering. Many people privately called her a shrew or a tigress."
Upon hearing Qian Tong's words, Qin Jingmu frowned, clearly displeased.
"Kid, why don't you believe what I'm saying?"
"If you don't believe me, go back and ask your mother if it's true."
"You can go back and ask your mother if she knows anyone named Qian Tong."
