Extra Chapter: Jue Shi Rong Yan 44

"Brother Qin, her willingness to admit your identity so quickly seems suspicious, isn't it?"

Qin Jue looked at the imperial edict in his hand and sneered, "They just want me to die sooner."

"Once she acknowledges my identity, then nothing she says matters anymore."

Qin Jue's eyes gleamed coldly as he spoke.

"After I return to the palace, it won't be long before those people investigate me, and I'll find you another place."

"Okay, I'll follow Brother Qin's arrangements," Xiao Liyan said, her eyes filled with heartache and worry as she looked at Qin Jue.

Xiao Liyun stood under the eaves, looking at the two people standing in the courtyard. Her eyes lit up as she saw the imperial edict in Qin Jue's hand, then she watched Qin Jue leave. Only then did she come out.

"Sister, can you come out with me and see this vast world now?"

Xiao Liyun had her hands behind her back. As she spoke, she glanced at Xiao Liyan and then looked up at the sky and the surroundings.

Xiao Liyan raised her hand to touch Xiao Liyun's face, then pulled Xiao Liyun's hand away, saying, "Ayun, I don't want to leave him."

Xiao Liyun's smile faltered for a moment. "But he could bring you danger. How about... you come out for a walk with me?"

"Ah Yun, you know, I've liked him for a long time, I..."

Xiao Liyun smiled again, "Okay, then I'll stay with Ayan."

Xiao Liyan pursed her lips

"How's the matter I asked you to handle going?"

Liu Wei gripped the cup in her hand and turned her head to look at Liang Yuan behind her.

"Your Majesty, rest assured, they have succeeded," Liang Yuan reported, placing his hands on his abdomen and bowing slightly.

"Go against me? Ha! As long as Qin Jue goes to rescue... that woman named Xiao, I'll have someone take action."

"Your Majesty, it's Xiao Li..."

Before Liang could finish speaking, Liu Wei threw her cup aside and her expression changed. "Is it your turn to speak?!"

Liang Yuan quickly slapped his own face, "This servant was too talkative. This servant was too talkative!"

——————

"Brother Qin, after all these years, are you really just going to ignore it?"

Qin Jue looked at the person standing in front of her, questioning her, and simply said, "My relationship with her hasn't reached the point where I could save her."

Xiao Liyan was stunned when she heard this, then sneered, "Not worth saving?"

"Brother Qin, if I were the one being kidnapped, would you still not save me?"

Qin Jue saw tears slowly welling up in Xiao Liyan's eyes and reached out to wipe them away, but Xiao Liyan took a step back.

Qin Jue lowered his hand and spoke again, "Now is not the best time to save him."

"It's been a whole day, and it's still not there. When will it be?"

Xiao Liyan yelled at Qin Jue, "She's my sister! If you won't save her, I will!"

As she spoke, Xiao Liyan ran outside. Those in the shadows, seeing Qin Jue nod, froze Xiao Liyan in place.

Qin Jue came out, picked up Xiao Liyan, and said, "The day after tomorrow is the best time to save her; we can wipe those people out in one fell swoop."

"Just bear with it."

Qin Jue carried Xiao Liyan into the house, then laid her flat on the bed.

"She glared at me too; that only made me less willing to save her."

After covering Xiao Liyan with the blanket, Qin Jue left, saying before the kitchen door, "You can move around in three hours. There are people outside the room, so don't even think about rescuing her."

He stepped out of the house and, speaking into the shadows, instructed, "Keep an eye on her."

The moon, for some reason, also hid away.

On horseback, Xiao Liyan, dressed in a 'cloud green' outfit, gripped the reins and rode towards the address she had seen in the letter earlier that day.

"It's been almost two days, and no one has come to rescue her. Wasn't it said that she and Qin Jue had a close relationship?"

One of them pinched Xiao Liyun's face and asked the other person...

"Pooh"

Xiao Liyun spat directly at the person in front of her.

"Hey. I think you haven't had enough of being beaten," he said, picking up the whip again and striking Xiao Liyun.

Upon hearing the guard's words, Qin Jue crushed the cup in his hand and then ordered the people behind him, "Keep a close eye on that person in the palace. If she escapes again, you know the consequences."

The guard immediately knelt down and said yes, but when he looked up, Qin Jue was already gone.

In the latter half of the night, seeing that the people in the courtyard were drowsy, Xiao Liyan went around to the back.

Xiao Liyan spotted a less crowded area, then used her light-footed skill to leap down, knocking the two guards unconscious.

Seeing that no one was inside, he quickly opened the door and went in. He immediately went over to Xiao Liyun, who was tied up, and upon seeing the wounds on her body, he was about to curse.

Xiao Liyun grabbed Xiao Liyan, "Ayan, run! They just tricked you into coming here!"

"Run!"

Xiao Liyan immediately bent down and picked up Xiao Liyun, saying, "I'm here to take you back. Come with me."

Xiao Liyun pursed her lips and hugged Xiao Liyan's neck. "Okay, sister, let's go before they realize what's happening."

Xiao Liyan carried Xiao Liyun and quickly walked towards the door. Just as she was about to use her light-footed skill to carry Xiao Liyun away, the door opened and five or six people walked in.

Seeing that the situation was not good, Xiao Liyan immediately used her lightness skill.

Lu Ping ordered the men behind him, "What are you standing there for? Chase them!"

The people behind immediately gave chase.

Looking at the people surrounding her, Xiao Liyan said to Xiao Liyun in her arms, "Hold on tight, I'll take you home."

"Sister, put me down, you need to go quickly."

"Hold on tight," Xiao Liyan said in an unyielding tone, giving Xiao Liyun no chance to reply, and resumed using her lightness skill.

Xiao Liyun wrapped her arms around Xiao Liyan's neck, then clamped her legs around Xiao Liyan's waist.

Xiao Liyan held Xiao Liyun back with one hand, then drew a soft sword from her waist. When the man in black approached, she used the soft sword to fight him.

When Xiao Liyun saw someone behind her about to attack Xiao Liyan, she warned Xiao Liyan.

After several rounds, Xiao Liyan was still injured, and then, while she was holding Xiao Liyun tightly with both hands, she was slapped to the ground.

"Hold on!"

Seeing the weakened Xiao Liyun, Xiao Liyan immediately picked her up and ran towards the horses. She then placed Xiao Liyun on the horse and whispered in her ear, "Don't get off, bring people to help me," before stabbing the horse with her sword.

"Sister, come up quickly!"

Xiao Liyan turned and fought the man in black. Xiao Liyun, on horseback, saw a sword pierce through Xiao Liyan's shoulder, and her eyes reddened. "Sister!!!"

Xiao Liyan looked at the person who had vanished without a trace, smiled, and said, "It was my elder sister who dragged you into this..."

"Boss, she's gone. She's the only one left," the man in black said to Lu Ping, looking at Xiao Liyan who he had knocked to the ground.

Lu Ping waved his hand, "It's alright. We were just trying to catch her, but she walked right into our trap."
