Chapter 25: Nian Nian Bang Bang Du
He seemed to be really miserable, with tears all over his face. Like a newborn duckling, he anxiously raised his paws and walked towards the adults with a "clapping" sound.
Yuanyuan saw him crying so hard, sobbing and licking Nian Nian's hand hanging by her side with her pink tongue as if to soothe her.
When Shi Guilin and the other three heard Nian Nian cry out, they all looked up, with different reactions.
"Oh my God, how come Nian Nian can walk suddenly!" Shi Nanqi widened his eyes and covered his mouth.
Shi Guilin stood up from the sofa like a spring, hurried forward, picked up Nian Nian who was walking towards him crying, and patted her back to comfort her: "Our Nian Nian was bullied by Hua Hua, right? Don't cry, don't cry, Dad will help you beat it, don't cry, don't cry."
The crying little fellow nestled on Shi Guilin's shoulder, raised the hand that had been licked by Yuan Yuan, and wiped his own tears: "Wuwu, um, Huahua, bullying Nian Nian, wuwu..."
Nian Nian suddenly paused while complaining here. He shrugged his nose with tears in his eyes, smelled the back of his hand that he used to wipe his face, and cried even more sadly.
Woohoo, it tastes sour.
It was Shi Jianfeng, who was wearing reading glasses, who first discovered the trick. He took a closer look and saw wet flower bud fragments on Nian Nian's collar. He immediately guessed what had happened, so he turned around, took a grape from the fruit bowl and put it into Nian Nian's mouth.
"Eat some grapes to relieve the bitterness, and our baby's mouth will be better."
"Mmmmm..." Nian Nian instinctively puffed out her cheeks and began to chew. The sweet and sour taste of the grapes immediately dispelled the bitterness between her lips and tongue.
The little guy's emotions came and went quickly. When the bitterness in his mouth stopped, he stopped crying and lay quietly with wet eyelashes.
Shi Jianfeng looked at his pitiful appearance and was too full of doting to say a harsh word. After a long while, he finally said, "It's the flower bud's fault that it doesn't taste good."
Shi Guilin snorted a laugh because the little guy had silently "reaped the fruits of his own actions." He then threatened, "Little greedy cat, don't eat flowers carelessly in the future. If you accidentally eat a poisonous one, you'll never see your dad again, understand?"
Can’t see papa anymore? Nian Nian’s eyes turned red, and she immediately hugged Shi Guilin’s neck tightly, sobbing and promising: “Nian Nian doesn’t want to eat, wuwuwu, I want papa, wuwuwu…”
Shi Guilin didn't want to scare the little guy too much, so he changed his tone and said, "Don't be afraid, Nian Nian. Daddy will make sure she doesn't eat anything else. Don't cry, okay."
Shi Nanqi also rubbed Nian Nian's face and comforted her before talking about the scene just now: "Nian Nian seems to be able to walk now. She just walked a short distance while crying."
After she reminded them, Shi Guilin and Shi Jianfeng thought about it and found that it seemed that Nian Nian had really taken those steps.
The three of them looked at Nian Nian in tacit understanding. Shi Guilin pondered for a moment, then placed Nian Nian on the carpet. He knelt down about a meter and a half in front of the little one, then opened his arms and said, "Come here, Nian Nian, come over here and give Daddy a hug."
Shi Nanqi and Shi Jianfeng stood on both sides of the little guy like guardians, ready to catch Nian Nian if she fell.
From the moment Nian Nian was put down, her eyes had been following Shi Guilin's footsteps, not to mention that he had just been threatened and could not see his father, so now was the time for him to be clingy.
So as soon as Shi Guilin finished speaking, Nian Nian looked over hesitantly, and like a chick that had lost its mother, she walked towards him with her little body wobbling.

Although she nearly stumbled to one side and fell, frightening Shi Nanqi and Shi Jianfeng so much that they almost reached out to catch her, Nian Nian swayed back and forth like a tumbler, but she managed to steady herself and successfully jumped into Shi Guilin's arms.
"Papa." Nian Doubao grabbed Shi Guilin's collar.
"Oh, our Nian Nian is so great. She can walk so quickly." When Guilin caught Nian Nian, he felt a sense of accomplishment in his heart. Is this the joy of nurturing?
Shi Jianfeng and Shi Nanqi were even more eloquent, surrounding Nian Nian and praising him profusely. Shi Guilin, who was listening nearby, felt as if they were praising him not for the little guy learning to walk, but for him landing on the moon.
Nian Nian pursed her lips shyly. After everyone stopped praising her, he quietly raised his eyes and asked Shi Guilin: "Papa. Nian Nian, is it good?"
Shi Guilin asked him back: "Do you think you are great?"
Nan Qi, who was sitting on the side, leaned over with a sinister smile and said, "Xiao Niannian, I heard it."
Nian Nian's face suddenly turned red with embarrassment. She looked at this and that with her big eyes and said nothing.
The more he acted like this, the funnier he became. Shi Guilin turned mean and started to tease him, "Why isn't Nian Nian saying anything? Do you think you're awesome? Huh? Tell Daddy."
"Hmph," Nian Nian was teased so much that he wanted to crawl into the back of the sofa. He hummed and buried his head, but was pulled out by Shi Nanqi without mercy, leaving him with nowhere to escape.
"Nian Nian, Nian Nian..." The little guy repeated his name several times, and finally said it out loud, "Nian Nian is great."
"Hahahahahahahahaha." Shi Guilin and Shi Nanqi couldn't help laughing.
Nian Nian looked at them blankly as they laughed, thinking that she was being laughed at again, so she lay down on the sofa angrily, burying her face and sticking out her butt.
Shi Guilin smiled, pulled Nian Nian into his arms, and kissed her vigorously: "We are not laughing at Nian Nian. Aunt and dad are laughing because our Nian Nian is so cute."
So the cute Nian Nian was easily coaxed into sticking out her head, like a proud little peacock spreading its tail feathers and puffing out its chest.
