Chapter 49 Nian Nian Cried
Shi Linzhuo was the first to open the door, stepped into the greenhouse, and lowered his chin: "Come in."
Nian Nian quickly grabbed Jiang Duan's wrist and Yuan Yuan's tail and said, "Let's go."
"What a nice smell." Lin Zhuo, who spent his days playing games or going out to play ball with friends, wandered around briefly, not too far from Nian Nian and the others. He rarely set foot in this greenhouse. He marveled at the abundance of flowers there, their tranquility and fragrance. After his sigh, he followed Nian Nian again, joining in the lively conversation among the children.
The little fellow had a clear goal: first, he wanted to show them the orchid he had saved. It was located very close to the door, a striking bright yellow. Among the many flower pots, his eyes instantly locked onto it without having to search for it.
The sound of footsteps echoed as they arrived in front of the Phalaenopsis orchid. Nian Nian lovingly touched its thick petals and introduced it, "This is the most beautiful flower. Grandpa said it belongs to Nian Nian."
In the vast greenhouse, Nian Nian's first flower was a brightly colored Phalaenopsis. Therefore, even though there were many more beautiful plants in the greenhouse, Nian Nian remained indifferent. After all, he had cast a thousand-layered filter of true love on the Phalaenopsis with his large, radiant eyes.
But neither Shi Linzhuo nor Jiang Duan directly said that this pot of flowers was not the most beautiful. Instead, they both unconsciously agreed with Nian Nian's words and said, "It's really beautiful."
Just because this pot of flowers has its own uniqueness.
Imagine the feeling of suddenly emerging from among the walls of delicate plastic flowers before you, a single vibrant flower, adorned with crystal-clear dewdrops. It's a truly unique scene, so profound it's unforgettable, and your gaze can't help but linger on it.
That's the state they're in now. It's as if they can't get enough of the Phalaenopsis orchids before them. Yuanyuan sniffed around, lingering in front of this pot of orchid the longest.
Nian Nian was very satisfied with their reactions, including Yuan Yuan's. His flowers were the most beautiful.
Then, Yuanyuan did something that nearly made Nian Nian's eyes pop out of their sockets. Perhaps the flower was so fragrant, Yuanyuan couldn't help but lick the orchid petals with his long, red tongue in front of everyone.
"Wow, Yuanyuan!" Nian Nian screamed immediately, his expression slightly broken. He took two quick steps over and pushed Yuanyuan away with his little hand, "Wuwu, go away, my flowers are getting sore, wuwuwu..."
Nian Nian has always been in awe of Yuan Yuan's saliva.
He was very sad.
Yuanyuan, not knowing what was going on, lay on the ground feeling aggrieved. His dark eyes stared at Nian Nian, who was crying on her back, and his thick furry paws patted Nian Nian's feet.
Shi Linzhuo's face twisted for a moment. Sorry, he didn't mean to laugh, but every time Nian Nian cried, the reason was too funny. He urgently avoided danger, quickly adjusted his expression, and said with a smile: "Don't cry, don't cry, just pour some water on it and the smell will go away, it's okay. And look at Yuanyuan, he knows he's wrong."
Jiang Duan also said, "Water it first, Nian Nian. Wash away the saliva, and the stink will last shorter."
"Mmmmm." Nian Nian was startled by Jiang Duan's words. After a moment's reaction, she realized with a sad heart that he was right. She tearfully admired her clever brother Duan for a brief moment before he lifted his white, tender legs and went to the shelf to retrieve his small kettle.
He lifted the back of his dimpled hand to wipe away his tears. His expression was full of the tragic feeling of a hero cutting off his own arm. Nian Nian handed the small kettle to Shi Linzhuo: "Brother, help Nian Nian get some water. Go to Jieli."
He even pointed out with experience the horizontal line that Shi Jianfeng usually used to collect water for him.
"Okay, wait a minute, brother." Shi Linzhuo took the kettle, turned his back, and after taking a few steps, he couldn't hold it in any longer and began to shake his shoulders. He really couldn't hold it in for another second.
No one would cry because a dog licked their flowers.
Nian Nian, on the other side, was squatting down, her eyes meeting those of the prone Yuan Yuan. Her large eyes were moistened with a layer of light, and the little fellow, with a red nose, said in a choked voice, "Yuan Yuan, you made a mistake. Say sorry now."
Yuanyuan looked at him.
Jiang Duan was silent for a moment: "Nian Nian, it's a dog."
Nian Nian wanted to cry again, his stubbornness clouding his mind. He complained with tears in his eyes: "Nian Nian, I made a mistake. I told Yuan Yuan. I'm sorry, waa ...
Normally, if he accidentally pulled Yuanyuan's tail or ears, Shi Guilin would catch him and apologize to Yuanyuan, but Yuanyuan never apologized when she bullied him. This time, he was extremely upset. Not only did she bully him, but she also bullied his flowers.
"...But Yuanyuan is a dog, he won't say sorry." Jiang Duan was like a ruthless repeating machine.
Nian Nian pouted and tears welled up in her eyes.
Jiang Duan looked at his red eyes for a few seconds and decided to defy logic. He turned to Yuan Yuan, who was lying on the ground, and said, "Why don't you just say sorry?"
Yuanyuan glanced at Jiang Duan, then quickly looked away, staring at the heartbroken Nian Nian. Suddenly, it stood up, its mouth slightly lowered, and in a gesture of submission, it repeatedly nudged Nian Nian's belly, occasionally pressing its soft ears into Nian Nian's hands and humming softly.
Nian Nian usually likes to rub his ears. Touching them will make him less angry.
"Awoo awoo awoo..." Yuanyuan is still a baby dog and is very good at acting coquettishly.
Nian Nian scratched Yuan Yuan's ears in a timid manner, and her tears slowly dried up. He sniffed twice: "Okay. Nian Nian, I forgive you."
