Chapter 91 Nian Nian, the Little Tailor
After reading out the long menu, the office fell into an eerie silence.
Leaving aside the food, the milk in Nian Nian's mouth alone was enough to make Shi Guilin gasp.
He maintained his expression, trying to appear calm and composed, not trying to interrogate her. However, his tone was still slightly raised: "Baby, you drank three whole bottles of milk, didn't you?"
"Yeah." Nian Nian lowered her eyelashes, suppressing her amber pupils, and her tone was filled with regret. "Nian Nian only had one bottle, but they all gave it to Nian Nian to drink. Nian Nian, Nian Nian wanted it..."
He confessed frankly, raised his eyes to look at Shi Guilin, and a layer of mist slowly covered his eyes: "Papa, Nian Nian is wrong, Nian Nian is a greedy glutton..."
The poor little guy repented in tears, "Papa, spank Nian Nian's butt. Nian Nian admits her mistake."
He sobbed a bit, wiped his tears and added, "But papa, please be gentler, Nian Nian's stomach still hurts."
He reflected on himself and turned around with difficulty in Shi Guilin's arms, with his back facing him, making it easier for his father to spank him.
Others had already been looking at Nian Nian with eyes that said, "Oh, poor little baby."
Shi Guilin was caught off guard by his proactive admission of guilt and asking for punishment. He was both amused and angry, and he couldn't bear to criticize him. He casually patted his butt twice and said, "That's enough, let's go home."
He turned Nian Nian's head, letting the tearful little one lie back on his chest, and turned to face Teacher Tan: "Thank you for taking care of me, Teacher. I will take my child back first."
Teacher Tan nodded quickly: "It's my duty, you're welcome. Goodbye everyone, and see you later, little Shi Nianzhu."
Nian Nian, looking sick, said goodbye to the teacher and begged Shi Guilin to take him to the Xingxing class. He told Jiang Duan and the others that he wanted to go home, and then he left the kindergarten with peace of mind.
Inside a black car on the road.
Shi Guilin was driving, while Wang Xiulin and Shi Jianfeng were still sitting in the back seat.
Nian Nian was lying half-reclining on Wang Xiulin's legs, his belly still a little bloated. Wang Xiulin's warm palms gently massaged him in circles to help him digest.
"Do you feel better, Nian Nian? Does it hurt less?"
"Yeah." The little guy felt much better with the tears in the corners of his eyes dried.
"Don't eat so much next time." Wang Xiulin tapped his nose in a stern tone, her fingertips tracing his soft belly. "Your stomach is so small, it's just perfect for delicious meals, not three bottles of milk at once. You've got to learn this lesson."
Nian Nian was incredibly honest, and her voice, like a sticky rice cake, reassured her in a resounding voice: "Nian Nian will remember this, grandma believes in me."
"Okay, I believe you."
Wang Xiulin kissed his face lovingly and pressed her wrist which was a little sore from massaging the little guy.
Shi Jianfeng saw it and took Nian Nian over. "Let me massage it for a while, you take a break."
The car was silent for a few minutes. Nian Nian pushed away Shi Jianfeng's big hand that was rubbing his belly, raised his voice, and suddenly said, "Papa."
"What are you doing?" Shi Guilin tilted his head slightly towards the back seat while turning the steering wheel.
"Papa, please drive faster, Nian Nian wants to go to the toilet." The little guy was extremely distressed.
He drinks too much milk.
Shi Guilin was about to laugh, but he managed to utter, "Hold on a little longer."
The vehicle speed increased visibly.
After arriving home, Nian Nian's first thing was to take care of her own physiological needs, followed by a visit from her family doctor.
After diagnosis, Nian Nian was found to be fine. Her stomachache was gone, which meant she had recovered. She could avoid gastrointestinal indigestion problems by paying attention to her eating habits in the future.
As a result, the foodie Nian Nian, whose stomach condition improved, was reborn.
After this small incident on the first day of school, Nian Nian spent a very peaceful period of kindergarten life for the next month.
He gradually got used to getting up early to go to school, and got along well with the children in the Xingxing class in Changying Kindergarten. He was very happy.
This Friday was the last activity class. Nian Nian and Xi Zimu were running and jumping in the activity area, running around facilities like slides.
"I don't want to play anymore. I'm so tired."
The little guy sighed and sat down next to Jiang Duan, "Brother Duan, let Nian Nian lean on you to rest for a while."
"Yeah." Jiang Duan did not participate in the previous play. He was alone, with his legs bent, reading a picture book under the shade of a tree. At this moment, his body felt refreshed and there was not a trace of sweat on his body.
Nian Nian's face turned red from the heat.
"Here you go." He handed the full cup of water to Nian Nian, his eyes never leaving the picture book.
Nian Nian took the cup from his hand, bit the rubber straw and started sucking, and put the cup back after drinking half of it.
He tugged at the sleeves of his sweater and rested leisurely, not disturbing Jiang Duan who was reading the picture book.
"Um?"
He found that there seemed to be a scratch on the sleeve, and the wool end was sticking out from the tightly and smoothly twisted pattern of the sweater.
Nian Nian's curiosity got the better of her. Like a cat playing with a ball of yarn, she stretched out her paws, grabbed the end of the yarn, and then pulled—
The soft wool with an elastic force popped out in circles all over the arm.
The feel was amazing. Nian Nian pulled it very long in one breath. After it reached the limit of his arm length, he loosened his fingers and a long strand of curved wool fell to the grass.
He savored the magical feeling, retracted his arm, and once again pulled it out from the broken line.
It's so fun.
Nian Nian crossed her arms in front of her body, immersed in it, having a lot of fun.
The rustling noises around him continued for a while, finally becoming too loud to ignore. Jiang Duan raised his eyes to ask, but the moment he took in the whole scene, he froze speechlessly.
Nian Nian caught a glimpse of a figure moving in her peripheral vision. She excitedly extended her arm to Jiang Duan and invited him to join the game: "Brother Duan, come and try it. It's really fun."
The sleeve of the cream-colored sweater on the little guy's left arm was gone, and his arm, as white and tender as a lotus root, was exposed naked to the sun, and the fine hairs on his skin were clearly visible.
Just a little bit more and the wool will fall to my shoulders!
Jiang Duan lowered his gaze and saw a messy ball of yellow wool on the grass beside Nian Nian's legs.
There is no need to ask who the culprit is, it is obvious that it is the smiling and sincere Xiao Nian Nian.
"Niannian!" Jiang Duan's voice trembled with shock for the first time, his eyes filled with anxiety, "You took off the clothes!"
"Hmm." Nian Nian lowered her head and looked at her bare arms.
He smiled sweetly, patting his belly, right arm, and back where his sweater was still visible with his little hands, and said nonchalantly, "It's okay, Brother Duan, Nian Nian, there are clothes here, here, and here."
Jiang Duan couldn't do anything about him. He touched his limp arm exposed to the air and asked, "Are you cold?"
Nian Nian obediently shook her head: "I'm not cold."
"You are not allowed to take it down." Jiang Duan stretched out his hand to pull off the excess wool on the ground, but as soon as he pulled, there was a "click" sound at Nian Nian's shoulder, and a large circle of wool fell off again.
He stopped helplessly, and an idea suddenly came to his mind. He picked up the untied ball of wool on the grass, rolled it up, and stuffed it all into Nian Nian's trouser pocket.
After stuffing the wool into his pockets and making sure it wouldn't fall out and trip him, he took off his thin coat, lifted Nian Nian's arm, and put the coat on Nian Nian like playing with a doll, leaving himself in a sweatshirt with a thin fleece.
"Don't take it off, wear it home."
Nian Nian stroked her clothes and responded with a silly look on her face.
There's no way you could tell he was the one who took the clothes apart out of mischief.
