Su Li retrieved the documents, but they were all unreadable.
Song Qinze glanced at the contents and then said, "How about I have my assistant take the documents to help you restore them? But it will take some time."
"Thank you, but it's too late." She glanced at her watch; the meeting was about to begin, and it would soon be her turn to speak.
"Secretary Su."
Sure enough, a sound came from inside.
Someone came out and reminded them, "It's your turn to speak, please go in."
Su Li frowned slightly, staring at the documents in her hand.
Seeing her predicament, Song Qinze said, "Let me go first. Secretary Su has encountered some issues; let her handle them first."
The man smiled and said, "Mr. Song, I'm sorry, but Secretary Su is currently the person in charge of the Quan family's business on the West Coast. It's normal for her to speak first. If this is disrupted, others will also be affected."
"Are you Song Wan's brother?"
Su Li looked at him in surprise.
Song Qinze smiled gently at her, "I am Song Qinze, hello."
"Hello, Su Li." She shook hands with him and introduced themselves.
“Secretary Su, if you are not prepared, then let Ms. Song speak first. She is also one of the people in charge of the West Coast project.”
"Need not."
Su Li resolutely stepped into the conference room.
Everyone was looking at her with strange eyes.
Although she was Quan Ye's top secretary, it was the first time anyone had ever seen a secretary be put in charge of such a large project, and everyone was waiting to see her make a fool of herself.
When Song Wan saw Song Qinze coming over, she immediately stood up and said, "Brother."
Looking at Su Li's empty hands, she was certain that Su Li would embarrass herself later.
However, Su Li calmly walked onto the stage and said to everyone, "I'm sorry, I can't show you the contracts and materials I prepared for the time being."
"Secretary Su, today's meeting is so big, and we've been notified and preparing for it for a long time. How can you say we weren't prepared? Is this how you treat your work?"
Some people below began to question and ask.
Others were talking amongst themselves.
Because of Quan Ye's presence, they dared not say anything too outrageous.
Song Wan waited to see how Su Li would handle the situation. Without a contract or documents in front of so many people, her subordinates would naturally not believe her.
Quan Ye sat in the main seat without saying a word, his handsome face filled with a chilling aura.
He believed she had a backup plan, and sure enough, the next second he heard her say:
"I've already asked my colleagues to print out a few more copies of the contract. As for the other documents, I've reviewed them and they're all in my mind. Now I'll show them to everyone on the big screen."
She took a USB drive out of her bag and plugged it into the computer.
Fortunately, she has a habit of keeping backups.
When Song Wan saw what she did, her expression changed instantly.
Quan Ye noticed some bloodstains on her high heels, and upon closer inspection, he saw that her ankle had been cut.
He frowned slightly. This woman had only been gone for a short while, yet she had managed to get herself into such a state.
She walked calmly and composedly to the front of the stage.
A speech that readily accepts good advice.
The murmurs below gradually subsided.
“Brother, she is Quan Ye’s secretary,” Song Wan said.
Song Qinze's gaze also lingered on Su Li, and he said in a low voice, "She's just a secretary. I heard from the maid that she came to stay at our house a while ago, and it seems that you have a grudge against her."
"Brother, what are you trying to say?"
“You are the eldest daughter of the Song family. You weren’t so petty before.”
Song Wan's face darkened. "A-Ye is my man. If I don't take the initiative, he'll belong to someone else."
"Don't say things like that again."
Su Li's brilliant and insightful speech was met with applause from everyone present.
Her elegant demeanor and composed aura defeated all the initial doubts.
Quan Ye raised an eyebrow slightly; those he trained would certainly not be bad.
