"It's alright, I was just asking casually." Song Qinze smiled, as if it really was just a casual question.
Quan Ye sized him up a few times. "Don't think I don't know what you and your sister are up to. It's true that the Quan family planned to form a marriage alliance with you before, but that's not a reason for you to set me up. Tell your sister to behave herself."
"Wan'er truly loves you. If you break off the engagement, she will be very heartbroken."
"What does that have to do with me?"
Quan Ye finished his last puff of cigarette and walked away.
As Song Qinze watched him leave, a glint of light flashed in his gentle eyes, and he bent down to straighten his slightly disheveled tie.
The assistant came over and asked, "Mr. Song, you saved Su Li, what did Miss say?"
"Nothing needs to be said."

"Peng—"
At the Song family home, Song Wan picked up a teacup and slammed it heavily onto the ground.
Shen Linfeng, who was standing in front, subconsciously took a few steps back and watched helplessly as the fragments fell at his feet.
"They've already brought the person to the border crossing, how could they still escape? Are you even trying to do your job properly?!"
Shen Linfeng said, "When I arrived, all of our people were gone, and Su Li had also disappeared."
"How could a person just disappear into thin air? You must have let her escape again."
Song Wan was furious, her chest heaving.
Shen Linfeng: "Chen Qi also went to see her that day, and he didn't see Su Li."
Chen Qi nodded, "It seems Su Li has been lucky again this time and has been rescued. But the person who rescued her is also very mysterious. I sent out many people to investigate, but they have all disappeared without a trace."
"No, we must find Su Li. Otherwise, if she appears in front of Quan Ye one day, our entire plan will be exposed."
Song Wan, who is usually composed, couldn't help but get anxious now.
Chen Qi said, "Don't worry, Miss. I'll have someone look for her again. That's a border crossing. Maybe Su Li took advantage of the chaos to cross the border. That would be even better. We wouldn't have to lift a finger. She'd already gone out on her own, and it would be impossible for her to come back later."
"I hope so."
Shen Linfeng took a deep breath. "Then I'll go out first and continue searching with them."
Song Wan growled, "And keep that woman of yours in check. If she dares to say anything out of line in front of Quan Ye again, you'll be the one to take the punishment."
"I see."
Shen Linfeng left the room with a dark expression.
Song Wan patted her head, annoyed, and said, "How come Su Li is so lucky? We just can't get rid of her."
Chen Qi helped her up and comforted her, "Don't worry, I'll take care of him for you."

"Snap—"
Emily was slapped out of the house and collapsed in the hallway in a disheveled state.
Hearing the commotion, other renting neighbors all ran out to see what was happening.
She covered her throbbing cheek, looking at him in disbelief, "You dare hit me!"
Shen Linfeng walked out of the door step by step, his face extremely terrifying.
"If you dare to go to Quan Ye and say anything out of line again, it won't be as simple as just a slap."
"You and that Song Wan are in cahoots. You can't have Su Li, so you want to destroy her. You two are disgusting."
"Slap—" Shen Linfeng slapped her again.
"You bastard, I'll fight you to the death!"
Emily got up and lunged at him, trying to grab his neck.
Shen Linfeng swung his hand back and violently flung her away.
She bumped into the fence, felt a sharp pain in her abdomen, and squatted down on the ground.
"Hey Ai, if you don't want to stay here, get out of here. I don't want to keep idle people around."
Shen Linfeng slammed the door shut.
She was blind to think he was reliable and came to him for help.
The last time she overheard him talking to Song Wan on the phone about framing Su Li, she originally planned to tell Master Quan about it, but Song Wan found out halfway through.
Emily clutched her stomach in pain and cried out, "My baby is yours! How could you do this to me?"
