Ye Shi followed Fu Zelian to the banquet and realized that the event was very grand, with men and women dressed in their finest attire, like walking money bags.
"President Fu is here."
Fu Zelian has been doing business with Quan Ye in Haicheng recently and has accumulated a lot of connections. As soon as he arrived, he was surrounded by a lot of people.
Ye Shi stood beside him for a while.

Ye Shi followed their gaze and indeed saw a middle-aged man embracing a young girl, the two of them being very affectionate and happy.
Then she looked over at Fu Zelian and saw that Song Wan, dressed in a red dress, was standing with him.
Song Wan raised her glass in a toast, her face beaming with smiles.
Ye Shi took a sip of her drink, feeling a tightness in her chest.
I had drunk too many beverages and needed to go to the restroom, which led me to bump into Song Wan in the hallway.
She tried to walk around them, but they weren't going to let her go.
"Mrs. Fu, what a coincidence, you're here too."
Song Wan came over with two female friends and stood on either side of her. "Why didn't I see you next to President Fu just now? Did he think you weren't presentable enough and made you stay in the corner?"
Ye Shirou's gentle and weak appearance made her a target for some ill-intentioned people who wanted to bully her.
The other two women also mocked, "You don't look like one of our people. I don't know why President Fu would marry a wild girl like you. Did you use some tricks to get into President Fu's bed? You're really scheming."
Ye Shi didn't want to pay attention to them and tried to leave after pushing them away.
"Don't go, let's have a good talk."
Song Wan grabbed her arm and pulled her back, looking at her arrogantly and saying, "I know you and Su Li are good friends. Su Li is a slut who seduces men, and her good friend is no better."

Ye Shi was furious. She flung her hand away and stormed off.
This time, Song Wan didn't stop her, but deliberately stuck out her foot and tripped her.

Ye Shi suppressed her grievances, tears welling up in her eyes.
Song Wan wanted to say something sarcastic, but out of the corner of her eye she saw someone gesturing to indicate that someone was coming.
So she led her people away.
"I've been looking for you for a long time, I never expected to find you here."
Fu Zelian strode over and helped her up from the ground. "Why were you lying on the ground all of a sudden?"
