The next morning, while Su Li and Quan Ye were still asleep, the servant knocked on the door.
She woke up groggily and tried to get up, but the man next to her pressed her back down.
"Sleep a little longer." He wasn't fully awake, but his large hands, as if guided by instinct, covered her soft skin.
Su Li patted his head. "Someone's knocking on the door. I guess something's wrong. I'll go check it out."
He reluctantly let go of her.
Su Li got out of bed and opened the door, seeing the maid standing outside.
“Miss, Mr. Quan’s secretary has come downstairs. He says he has some documents to review.”
She already knew who was coming and was quite proactive.
"I understand, I'll go down now."
After a while, Su Li went downstairs and saw Lan Qier standing straight in the living room. She didn't sit down when the maid asked her to.
"Miss Su, is Mr. Quan awake?"
"Not yet. What document is so important? Let me see it?" She held out her hand.
Lan Qi'er did not give it to him, but smiled politely and said, "Since Master Quan has not woken up yet, I will go back first. This needs Master Quan's signature."
Su Li smiled slightly, withdrew her hand, and said, "Since you're here, have a cup of tea. Sit here."
The maid went to prepare tea.
Lan Qi'er couldn't refuse, so she sat down.
She then began to examine the villa's furnishings; they were luxurious and exquisite, and the people living there were like princesses and princes.
Even the maids were foreigners who spoke fluent English.
The living room was filled with the aroma of tea. The tea boxes on the tea table were labeled as being from a famous overseas tea brand, with even a small packet costing tens of thousands of yuan.
This is a famous tea that ordinary people can only dream of drinking in their entire lives.
"Miss, the tea is ready." The maid brought two cups of tea.
Su Li said, "Try it, it tastes good."
Lan Qi'er nodded, carefully picked up the glass, and took a small sip.
This is the best tea she has ever tasted in her life.
"Young Miss, breakfast is ready."
"Secretary Lan, have you eaten yet? Would you like to eat something together?"
"No need, I have to rush back to work. I'll leave the documents for Mr. Quan to read when he wakes up. I won't disturb you any longer." Lan Qi'er picked up her bag, got up, and hurriedly left.
"Madam, the door is this way."
Seeing her head towards the kitchen, the maid kindly reminded her.
Lan Qi'er looked embarrassed, smiled at Su Li, and then left.
Su Li opened the file and glanced at it.
Based on her understanding of the Quan Group's business, there wasn't actually that much of a rush to sign this document; it's just that Secretary Lan was too "dedicated."
When Quan Ye woke up, Su Li had already left.
He saw a note left on the bedside table: 'Grandpa isn't feeling well today, so I'm going to check on things at the company we're working with. You don't need to wait for me. My clothes are on the sofa.'
Quan Ye turned his head and saw that his clothes had been washed and neatly folded on the sofa.
He was still a little dizzy from drinking last night.
After he came out, Xu Ming and the others were waiting for him outside.
"Mr. Quan, did you sleep well last night?"
“Nonsense, of course he sleeps well. Have you ever seen Master Quan not sleep well when he's with Miss Su?” Zhang Quan chimed in with a grin.
Quan Ye said in a cold voice, "If you like teasing me so much, why don't you just say it all at once?"
Xu Ming and Zhang Quan shook their heads, "No, no, we wouldn't dare."
After he recovered from the alcohol, he asked, "Which company did Su Li go to this morning?"
"It seems to be Rongjiang Group, a major real estate developer."
The people of Rongjiang are no pushovers; I wonder if she, a woman, can handle them.
