At lunchtime, Su Li ate a simple meal at the hospital cafeteria and then called Quan Ye.
"Unexcused absence, Secretary Su, do you think that now that you're the project manager, you can stop obeying orders?" He questioned her from the outset.
Quan Ye manages his subordinates very strictly; he can deduct half a year's salary just for absenteeism, and no one dares to violate this rule.
"My uncle had an accident, and I'm at the hospital with him."
"I have already invited top doctors from abroad, they should arrive this afternoon."
Su Li asked in surprise, "You called a doctor?"
"With a reputable doctor here, can you obediently come back to work?"
Su Li felt that he valued the West Coast project, since it would be difficult for the project to continue if she, as the person in charge, was not in the company.
"Okay, I understand."
She kept waiting for him to hang up first, but he showed no sign of doing so.
"Mr. Quan, is there anything else?"
"Besides your uncle and aunt, who else was there at the time?" Quan Ye asked, his tone noticeably somber.
Su Li remained silent for a while, the image of Shen Linfeng's cowardly appearance flashing through her mind.

Shen Linfeng suddenly appeared behind her. She turned around in shock and accidentally hung up the call with Quan Ye.
She frowned and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Shen Linfeng was wearing a hospital gown, and his head was wrapped in several layers of gauze, looking quite seriously injured.
"I was beaten so badly by you, of course I need to be hospitalized."
"It's not that bad."
Su Li was too lazy to say anything to him and turned to leave.
Shen Linfeng grabbed her arm, "Ali, I can give you another chance. Speak up for me in front of your uncle, and I can pretend none of this happened."
"Please get this straight, all of this is because of you. My uncle fell down the stairs because of you. The responsibility is yours, not mine."

Su Li shook off his hand and walked away.
Shen Linfeng's face contorted with rage as he glared at her departing figure and roared, "Su Li! If you don't help me, don't blame me for being impolite!"
She walked away without looking back.
He angrily punched the wall, remembering the slap his father had given him the night before when he entered the house.
Quan Lang stood at the door, trembling with anger, his curses echoing throughout the entire villa.
"You shameless bastard, I finally managed to get you back to the Quan family, and you ruined yourself because of this little affair. Now Quan Ye won't let you come back, so you can just wait to die for the rest of your life."
"How could I have such a spineless son like you? You're a disgrace! Get out of here! You're dirtying my turf!"
The sound of her father's curses echoed in her ears.
Unable to bear the humiliation, Shen Linfeng punched the wall, drawing blood instantly.
Just then, the phone rang.
He glanced at the caller ID, then walked to the side to answer, "Hello?"
"How's the thing I asked you to do going?" The woman's voice was pleasant and efficient, getting straight to the point.
"I haven't reached the final step yet."
"What are you waiting for? Take this opportunity to resolve Su Li's matter, or forget about asking me for help."
After the woman finished speaking, she hung up the phone decisively.
Shen Linfeng glanced at his phone with a complicated expression, and after a while, made a call.
