"Achoo—"
That evening, Su Li went out to dinner with Meng Sangsang and Ye Shi, and couldn't help but sneeze a few times.
Three people sat at a table in the outdoor seating area of the garden restaurant, enjoying hot pot.
Meng Sangsang's mouth was bright red from eating spicy food, and she breathed out, "Why are you sneezing so much today? Do you have a cold?"
Ye Shi also asked, "It's a bit chilly tonight, why don't you go back and put on another layer of clothing?"
Su Li shook her head, "No need, I guess someone is talking about me behind my back."
Meng Sangsang laughed heartily, "It must be that Miss Song. You won completely this time, so she's definitely not convinced. It's also her fault for overestimating herself and having to provoke you."
Ye Shi poured them drinks and said, "I was terrified when Miss Song fell down the stairs that day. I was afraid that if something bad happened to her, Ah Li would be blamed for it."
"I'm sorry to have worried you. Come on, let's have a drink together."
"cheers!"
The three of them raised their drinks and happily began to drink.
At that moment, in the couples' restaurant on the opposite high-rise building, Quan Ye and Song Wan sat facing each other by the window.
Song Wan was dressed exquisitely tonight. A black cheongsam accentuated her tall and slender figure, and her hairstyle was specially styled, making her look alluring and exuding femininity.
However, the handsome man opposite him kept his head down, typing on his laptop.
Many female customers around him were stealing glances at him, their admiration obvious on their faces.
The waiter came over to serve the food, a sumptuous candlelight dinner.
"I'll do it."
Song Wan stood up, took the red wine from the waiter, moved closer to Quan Ye, and poured him a glass of wine.
I glanced at his computer and saw that he was still working.
"Aye, it's time to eat."
"You eat first, I still have some things to finish," he said without looking up.
"No matter how busy you are, you still need to eat. Work can wait until after you eat."
Song Wan bent down, turned off his computer, and pulled it over to place on the desktop.
Quan Ye frowned in displeasure and lightly tugged at his tie.
It was just a simple little gesture, but it made the female customers nearby swoon and gasp.
"You must be tired. Let me give you a massage first."
Song Wan went around behind him and massaged his shoulders with both hands.
Quan Ye suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her in front of him.
Song Wan lost her balance and cried out as she fell onto his lap, her eyes flashing with joy and shyness.
He finally glanced at her; it seemed her efforts to dress up tonight hadn't been in vain.
"A-Ye, I..."
"I don't like people touching me without permission. Please be more careful next time."
He said something chillingly, and then pushed her away.
Song Wan staggered and almost fell, but quickly grabbed the table next to her for support.
Others cast curious glances at her, but she maintained a smile to avoid feeling embarrassed.
Quan Ye's gaze fell on her feet, which were clad in high heels. "The recovery is quite fast."
"My mother found a specialist in orthopedics and prescribed some ointment for me to apply, so it healed relatively quickly."
"Um."
Song Wan sat back down, gently scooping soup from her bowl, and said, "Ah Ye, we're going to get married after all. I know you're not used to me being around yet. How about this, I'll try to spend more time with you whenever I can. Anyway, my brother will be back soon, and I can leave the company to him then, and I can..."
She looked up and saw him staring at something below.
"Ah Ye, what are you looking at?" She was about to look over when she saw him turn back.
"It's nothing. It's best if you're not busy so you can get more rest."
"Okay." Song Wan was pleased; he had agreed to let her spend more time with him.
Quan Ye picked up his wine glass and took a small sip, glancing at the familiar figure downstairs out of the corner of his eye.
He said he was busy tonight, but it turns out he secretly went out for hot pot!
